Essential Pets groomer did a HORRIBLE job on my mini Goldendoodle. Shes full grown and 30 lbs and I was told when I picked her up that she was really easy to work with, so its not like she can use the excuse of trying to groom a fidgety dog. Other reviews on their groomer looked ok for the most part so I decided to try them because my regular groomer (Colorado Dog) was super busy. Ive never had a groomer do such a horrible job. I even showed a picture when I dropped her off of how I wanted her to look. She had some mats on her bum and hind legs so she called and said that she needsd to cut her shorter than we wanted. At least she called. She did have some mats but not really bad. I was going to comb her out before I took her in but since Colorado Dog never seems to have a problem with her I assumed that another professional groomer could handle it too. Obviously not. The ONLY trimming she did on her face was buzz the hair around her eyes. She didnt trim or thin out the thick hair on the sides of her nose or chin. Did she forget that part? I didnt realize the horrible job when I picked her up because there was another dog in the store and they were playing around while I was paying. I included a 20% tip as I always do and it came to $83! If i noticed how bad she was groomed I wouldnt have tipped. I did ask the price beforehand so I knew what to expect but I also expected a professional groom on my dog. The groomers at Colorado Dog are TOTALLY worth waiting on. I will never take my dog to Essential Pets groomer again!

The staff is nice enough and its a fine place to buy food and treats but Ill be staying far away from their groomers for the rest of forever. The groomers seem to do fine with the smaller dogs but I have a 1 year old puppy who is 120 pounds and they were clearly not equipped to handle him. It was his first time at a groomer and I was honest about that. I brush him all the time and he loves to have his ears scratched so I wasnt expecting too much difficulty but I told them he will need plenty of patience and some one to be gentle with him. With in 3 minutes of me handing over my pup he was immediately taken and put into a kennel in a strange place. Already, not the makings of a good first visit. Within an hour I received a call saying they cant work on him bc he is snipping when they try to get at his ears. That seemed strange but okay. I pick him up and get him home and notice he wont let me touch behind his ears and wont let me near his leg hair to brush it. I finally get to looking behind his ears and they have taken clippers with no guard and shaved big patches down to the skin behind his ears!! His ears were razor burnt so badly and one was bleeding. No wonder he was snipping when they were doing that! Now he will barely let me brush him and I have made an appointment at another groomer to have him taken care of. Needless to say not only was his first grooming experience terrible it was clearly traumatizing for him. This place clearly has no time or patience for large or giant breed dogs with long hair.

The groomers are basically wizards. You give them a scruffy, high energy mess and a few short minutes later (really they are super efficient for being so careful) you get out a beautiful pup. Our Dog freaks out if we try to clip her nails, but the groomers here are so fast and calming I dont think she realizes what is going on and has no time to react, it is amazing. Also, the food selection here is much better than at king soopers and at a better price. They even have a frequent buyer program for some big brands like Blue Buffalo. You should really go here for pet supplies in Parker, plus everyone is really friendly and there is a liquor store next door. It is a win win.

putting this here too because facebook doesnt count stars properly. They should get the star rating they deserve based on reviews Tried to schedule a grooming appointment for my dog.. - Put me on hold with circus music. not bad just silly. - Had no one available to set up an appointment (Wouldnt the person who picks up the phone be able to do that? I mean thats how it is literally everywhere else.) - Mentioned something about a notification list and hung up on me when I said "huh?" because I was confused on what they said. Said nothing, just hung up. Poor first experience, likely wont look to work with them again.

I dont usually write reviews but I wanted to make sure everyone knows how awesome the groomer is at this location. I have been taking my Maltese Ivy in to see Robin for about a year now and we couldnt be happier. Ivy always comes out looking so beautiful with cute little bows and she is always so happy with a wagging tail. The prices are very reasonable and the groom time is much shorter compared to other grooming salons I have tried in the past. Robin really seems like she cares about my dog and is always so friendly with me. The store is nice and clean and they have a huge selection of food and treats.

Went to get my Persian cat groomed there, and they did a terrible job. They said they were worried about him biting so they did not finish grooming him; they shaved one side and left the rest, and he still had small matts throughout his fur. My cat does not bite and everywhere else I have taken him they have been able to shave my cat properly. They are lazy and did a half ass job. I would never recommend them to anyone. The groomers were extremely rude and snobby and had no compassion for the animals or costumers. Lazy, lazy people.

I love this store, it most likely has the largest selection of animal foods Ive ever seen. it has a decent little selection of reptiles and saltwater fish. Has a larger selection of freshwater fish. The staff (the young highschool kids) arent very knowledgeable but then again if youre going here you already seem to know what you need. I was kinda disappointed that they no longer have the large selection of animals that they once had but overall nice low prices and good quality care of fish and reptiles.

I took my Saint Bernard here and they were not only incredibly rude and were pushy about making sure i knew to tip them but they didnt even brush my dogs ears or trim his feet. Also the price they quoted me when i left him was not the price they charged me. My dog went a week ago and has scabs all up his back i can only assume they are from the grooming..dont waste your money here theres alot of better places in parker to take your pets.

The Blue Buffalo frequent buyer program is great and so is the staff! I have always been greeted with a smile and so has my poochy. In terms of selection they have anything you would need for routine pet care. Their selection of dog and cat food is extensive and they do have some niche brands. Pricing is excellent and there is very little room for improvment.
