Awful customer service. Its difficult enough to find anyone around to help or check you out to begin with - no matter how busy or empty the store is...but theres one checker I dread having to deal with - this rep seems to create the impression of knowing something and being busy by calling attention to whatever issue can be created with a customer - and in general, simply being difficult. This time I walked in for my usual purchase, but also asked if they carry diatomaceous earth. Unlike Sprouts or KMart, where the reps didnt know what diatomaceous was, but instantly said hold on, let them call so-and-so to see if they knew if they carried it, this rep just asked "what" repeatedly stating that they couldnt understand me, making something of a halting production in front of other customers - as if I didnt know how to say what I was asking for. When I asked if there was someone else I could check with on what the store sells - this rep informed me that they sell dog and cat food, toys, and accessories. Remembering having had to deal with this person before - just as uncomfortably - I finally said never mind - went to get what else I needed, and asked another rep if they carried the diatomaceous earth product. Turns out they dont and I ended up only buying the crickets - but once in line to check out, the same rep Id found so offensive on arriving, saw the crickets and made the very deliberate point that ohhhh, thats what Id wanted - crickets - that this rep could have helped me with. When I said no - that wasnt what Id asked about, the crickets were pointed to and I was educated that in fact "those are crickets" - again, as if I was the fool who couldnt speak, or now, recognize what I was holding....After Id stated that the crickets were simply another item Id come by for, but before I could pay and escape, I was asked if I speak with some sort of an accent....(no accent save Colorado).....then further, for my stating no, I was asked if I was irritated with this rep (if I admitted yes, Id appear confrontational, and if I lied and said no, Id appear the difficult unfriendly person causing any discomfort for the rep) - it was again, just like the repeated cant understand what youre saying statements, just a way to focus any attention and question onto someone other than this particular checker (onto me in this case). I lied, said no, and finally escaped the situ. I dont believe anyone could confuse "diatomaceous" with "crickets" - customer or sales rep - even if pronounced through a mouthful of marbles.....and even if the two had sounded anywhere close to similar, no decently trained customer service rep would suggest to a paying customer that they (the cust) dont know enough to correctly say or recognize what theyre asking for and purchasing. This whole episode was intentional for the sake of the rep feeling more knowledgeable and in control at the expense of the customer unfortunate enough to find themself in the position of "dummy" for the reps production. Having read other reviews that sound similar in tone and irritation, I dont think ease of access is enough to convince me to continue shopping at this location.

Worse experience ever!!! I only put one star so I can write this review. I took my dog to get a hair cut but i told the man that was going to groom him not too short and he assured me it wasnt going to be too short. He had given me a paper to initial and sign and I thought what he was explaining was correctly from the paper...Wrong!! I was told I had to initial and sign to get the grooming done and I know I should have read it but I thought I could trust them. My dog is a white miniature poodle with curly hair. It was pretty long for him and we just wanted a trim. I dropped him off a little bit before 8 am and i get a call by 8:30 that they were not able to cut his hair because he was too scared to come out. I get there at 9:30 and the man told me someone else is grooming him and he should have called, which he should have, but didnt he was just on his phone when I came in. He had also told me he was given a shot, which to me was shocking because I didnt receive a call to ask permission for. I get a call that he will be ready in 15 minutes and when I get there I was given a receipt to pay first, which I found funny because I think they knew if I saw my dog first they were afraid I wasnt going to pay. I couldnt even recognize my own dog!!! HE WAS BALD!!!! Janet or Jennet was the lady who groomed my dog and she was arguing with me saying thats what I wanted! I THINK I WOULD KNOW WHAT I WANTED!!! She kept saying she had to cut his hair super short when I specifically told them not too short and I asked her why didnt they give me a call to ask if they can shave him but she couldnt answer my question, she was just going around it. I mean they had the time to call me to say they couldnt groom him, but didnt have the time to call me to say they ONE; gave him a shot, TWO; they were able to groom him, and THREE; they needed to shave him. Janet/Jennet was the worse and everyone else there. Apart from being the worse experience ever, which my dog is still crying from....THEY CHARGED ME TWICE!!! What a surprise. The Lady who charged me I think her name was Angela, she seemed good friends with Janet/Jennet because she was saying how amazing she was and what not. Seemed really weird she knew what my dog went to get serviced but when she charged me $100 she couldnt look to see. I had forgotten the prices but I thought his haircut must be very nice then. Just go to petsmart or somewhere else! ANYWHERE ELSE IS BETTER THAN THIS PLACE!!! I CRIED WHEN I GOT HOME BECAUSE MY DOG COULDNT STOP CRYING. I NOTICED LATER ON THAT HE HAD LIKE BUMPS AND CUTS LIKE WOW YOU COULDNT EVEN SHAVE A DOG RIGHT???

Extremely disappointed. Disgraceful Service. Hypocrites. I went to this store to get some fish, waited for 10 mins and no one was around. So I decided to go up front to get someone to help me. The guy came back to help and asked the size of my tank and how many fish I already have. I have a 5 gallon tank and 6 baby guppies and wanted to buy 2 more. He said he wont sell it to me because of the wellness of the animals and that I have exceeded the max # fish (they only allow to sell 1 fish/gallon). He said this as he stood next to a 50 gallon tank that is overcrowded with hundreds of gold fish. Shouldnt they only have 50 fish in that tank? Hypocrite! I asked him if this is a written policy with Petco, he said yes. I asked for a copy of that policy and he said he would get it. 30 seconds later the manager came, telling me the same thing, refusing to sell me the fish. I asked again for a copy of the written policy and the manager said that they dont have it in a written format. Excuse me? It seems like the staff here is quite disoriented. This is not my first time here, Ive been here multiple times over the last few weeks as I set up the tank for my nieces. Why didnt they tell me about this "policy" when I was there the first time? In fact, last week, one of their employees told me that I could have 8 fish for my tank. They should consider retraining their employees and perhaps their managers as well. Never coming back.
