Im writing a review on behalf of my mother whose Maltese/Shih tzu mix just passed away at 6 years old after 6 years of chronic illness and thousands of dollars spent trying to give him a decent quality of life. She bought the puppy for $800 from Just Pets, who guarantees their pets are not puppy mill puppies, and that they are from reputable breeders with healthy dogs. From the beginning, his knees would pop out and he would limp or be unable to walk. At about 4 years old they spent $2000 on knee replacements. This dog also had chronic digestive issues, along with rectal bleeding. The vets could not rule out rectal cancer at 5 years old. My mom was referred to a cardiac vet because the dog had a level 3 heart murmur detected at 2 years old that had probably been present since birth. He was a companion dog for my 50 year old mother now that her kids are grown and out of the house. He sat on her lap most of the day, and she took him on her walks morning and night. Yesterday, though he seemed ok despite these ongoing health problems, he collapsed mid-walk and died. at barely SIX YEARS OLD, after years of money spent and probable decline of quality of life on the dogs part. Just Pets only response a couple of years ago was to take the dog back. Really? After my mom has bonded with this dog and made it her companion, your answer is to just take it back like its a defective item bought at Walmart? Just Pets should be ashamed of themselves. Who knows how many children, families, older people are buying puppies thinking theyre getting a new member of the family to have the dog be ill or even die YEARS before life expectancy. do NOT buy from Just Pets and contact reputable breeders yourselves.

We purchased our puppy "Crash" in March; nearly 2 months later he is a perfect addition to our family. We enjoyed working with Lisa, the manager, and ultimately she was the reason we ended up purchasing here. The first time we came in, it was 30 minutes until closing.... we got really wrapped up with visiting the puppies, and she stayed open late to allow us time. Although we didnt purchase him that night, we did go back about a week later (after shopping around, including adoption and other options), but this little "1692" (number on his collar) 2 1/2 pound malti-poo just kept "calling" us back! We took him to the vet after 3 days, biting our nails in hopes that he is as perfect as we hoped, and he WAS! No health issues at all. We had his poop tested, results were normal, his physical exam, normal, we gave him his heart worm, and some other elective vaccines, and we were good to go! When we first brought him home he did have "nervous puppy" stuff like, runny nose, panting and a little foamy throw up, mostly from the drive, and and it took him time to get adjusted to a new environment, but Lisa prepared us for that, so we didnt freak out! I guess, you never really know where they are coming from, considering you are not there for the birth, but once they are born.... does it really matter? He needs a home that will love him, and WE DO! I also have posted a picture of our cutie pie, who now is a whopping 4 lbs, 10 ounces!!!

I bought 2 golden retrievers fom Just pets on July 5, 2012. One male and one female golden as a gift for my daughters. For the last 6 months, I have spent a small forturne getting to the bottom of puppy mill breeding. Hannah- Needs double hip replacement and shoulder surger for dysplsia. Estimated cost from a reputable surgeon at VRCC, $3000 for shoulder and $12,000 for hips. Expected prognosis is Hannah could expect a low activity life, however more problems could surface as she ages. Harley-Needs shoulder and hip surgury for dysplasia. While not as severe, estimate cost from a reputable surgeon at VRCC $5000. Expected prognosis is Harely could expect a low activity life with premature arthritis. Stephanie has been very glad to point me to the contract, my money back or a new dog. Well, I have spent more on xrays and diagnosis than I paid for the dogs which she acquired from a puppy mill. Do you research, I didnt and got caught up in the moment with a retail store which bought dogs from a broker which bought dogs from a puppy mill. I am now faced with some very dishartening discisions with my daughter which is more painful than any amount of money I paid for these two darlings. Not exactly what I signed up for and getting my money back wont stop the tears in my daughters eyes.

So my mom and I had been looking for one perfect Siberian Husky. We had almost lost hope of ever finding one until we decided to look into Just Pets for supplies for my other dogs. When we walked in, we saw four beautiful Siberean Huskies. There were three white female huskies and one black and white male husky. The male husky was my moms dream dog and one of the female huskies warmed my heart when I played with her. Since my mom and I both had our hearts set on different dogs, and the person helping us gave us a BIG discount, we made a decision to get them both. When we got home, we brought the huskies out to meet my two Jack Russell Terriers in the snow. My dogs did NOT like the puppies at all but they warmed up to them. We decided to name the pups Blue and Asha. We are happy as ever with our two little bundles of joy who brought back life into our other two dogs who used to just sit around all day and now are running around the backyard playing with the puppies! I recommend Just Pets!

I wish I had realized this before buying a dog from there, but as it was my first experience buying a dog I had no idea. The puppies in Just Pets are sickly looking and show all the signs of puppy mill parentage. I bought a "Pomeranian" from this store and they assured me he was a purebreed, but once he grew into an adult it became obvious that he is not. I tried to locate the kennel that his papers said he came from, and I have reason to believe that it does not exist. He was also ill when I bought him with a serious case of kennel cough. I brought him to one of their recommended vets for his first visit (they paid for the visit but I had to pony up for the medication) but after that I took him to my regular vet who said shes seen MANY horror stories come out of that pet store.

Just Pets is absolutely amazing! Both stores, I & II are equipped with highly trained professionals, that go out of their way to ensure each dog/cat and customer are well taken care of. We have two Silky Terrier/Maltese mix (Silkese) brothers and theyre both very healthy and happy pups! We take great advantage of their grooming services, as well as food and other products as needed. We couldnt have asked for better customer service and the caring actions of the staff with our dogs! Youve all surpassed expectations and we highly recommend you to everyone we meet!!
