We got a Lhasa - Poodle mix from this location back in December. The staff was nice and seemed knowledgeable. The puppy seemed healthy at the time but when we got her home there was coughing. A lot. And 2 days after bringing her home she developed cherry eye in one of her eyes. We took her to her free check up the next day and the vet was unable to pop the eye tissue back in so now we need to get her surgery to fix it, for now she has prescribed eye drops we use until shes old enough for the surgery. She was also diagnosed with kennel cough and had to go on medication for that. On top of that we found out that the reason she was so stinky even after getting a bath was that she had yeast infection in her ears, so we have to medicate her ears too. It is to the point where the term puppy mill is thrown around in our house in regards to her. Of course we didnt want to take her back, shes already part of our family and we love her. Their contract they have you sign pretty much says sorry tough luck for anything other than mild medication and death. We also have another two puppies that each came from private breeders. Both are magnificently tempered and smart, in addition to having flawless health so far. I love our puppy that came from the store but after all of her problems, I will never buy another dog from a pet store. For the same price we paid for her, we had our pure bred miniature wiener dog flown in and he included food, crate, care manual, and akc papers. Our purebred Corgi was half the price of her purchased from a breeder in-state. Know what you are getting - GO TO A REPUTABLE BREEDER OR SHELTER - Both actually check their pups health BEFORE they go to a family. However, I gave this location 2 stars instead of 1 because my family has owned 3 cats from this location purchased in 2004, 2009, and 2012. A Maine Coon, Black & white medium hair, and Tortie respectively. They were all in good health upon purchase and to this day they are in great health- even the 9 year old. To sum it up; great experience with their cats but for dogs - look elsewhere! UPDATE: Our puppy we purchased here had her spay and cherry eye surgery and our vet even went and fully repaired her umbilical hernia for free which whoever the breeder or PetCity used did NOT repair correctly! I also want to say that in a remarkable coincidence while at a pet food retailer we found her sister/littermate! Her owner told us that her sister is in overall good health but has the same umbilical hernia problems. Visibly she looked healthy. We are even taking our little girl to meet her sister tomorrow. So maybe we just got a fluke puppy but I still will never trust this place and question where our pup came from.

This place. Oh my God. Got a puppy over a month ago. Were at over $2000.00 in medical expenses and professional trainers (all of whom said she was very obviously neglected and most likely physically abused due to her health and behavior). This dog has bit me 15 times in 48 hours. That is the quality of puppy that they give. Now, heres the reason for this negative review. They will not, under any circumstances, take back a dog due to behavior. Not that we would EVER consider putting ANYTHING in that.....animal hell. They also lie, to your face, about behavior and health. I was promised that shed been an angel, very social, very gentle, very sweet, and in great health. I got the dog and she not only had kennel cough, but also parasites, worms, an additional respiratory infection, and intestinal issues. The first time she bit me was the moment we came into the apartment. She is refusing any and all training, and refusing food. Shes been so neglected and abused that we have to force feed her with a syringe. Now onto the other dog. Same promises made. Heres all that hes had: Kennel cough Parasites Incontinence Allergies to almost every everything (I was promised that he showed no signs at all of any allergies.) We found out he had allergies the night we brought him home and fed him. Somehow they must have missed how much he screams after eating the food they were giving him. I got them both 5-6 pounds underweight. These are 5 month old puppies. Thats a HUGE problem. The eskie should have weighed 8 pounds. She weighed 3. Needless to say my veterinarian was appalled. She also identified several other issues that indicate that they were taken from their mother WAY too early and is honestly surprised they have lived this long. Want proof? I have receipts and a letter from my vet in the event that I should choose to take legal action, as these dogs were purchased under false pretenses. I have also consulted with an attorney and he feels we would have a VERY strong case. TL;DR This place is a puppy mill that will lie vehemently to make a sale. Also worth noting that the assistant manager has already spoken to me about this and was very professional with mine and my husbands feedback. If you DO decide to go with them, only work with her. ONLY her. The other girl thats there all the time told me so many lies SO many lies, and had she been honest, Id still have $2000.00 in my pocket, no stitches, no neighbor children bit, and my older dog would have a moments peace. Go to a shelter for your dogs, not a puppy mill.

My experience with the staff was great. The manager was extremely helpful and very friendly, but the care for their pups is awful. Obviously all this store cares about is making some money and not caring for their pups health.... If I could rate this pet store overall I wouldnt even give it one star. Its obvious that this store purchases their dogs from breeders with poor environments or puppy mills. We purchased our mini dachshund Saturday night. We noticed right away that she had kennel cough and made a vet appt. That monday we came home to her extremely ill. We rushed her to the vet to find out that she had ear mites, coccidia (from eating her mothers infected feces), scabs and cuts on her head and a major case of kennel cough. The poor baby was choking up a lung at the store and they didnt even care to have a vet come in and check on her as stated on their main page "giving customers a happy and healthy pet". Who knows if this puppy would have lived much longer had we not purchased her. If you claim on your main page that you have a health team making sure that all of your puppies are healthy before going to their new home then go through with your word. We have a 1 year old mini dachshund at home that might now be infected as well. The amount of money we are going to have to cough up getting our 1 year old checked up because of your irresponsible mistake is ridiculous. Watching your poor dog be sick is not fun either :( . Not to mention your pup can die from coccidia and its obvious that this pup has never had a check up before we took her to the vet. The pet store pays for the first vet visit but what does that matter when you have to watch your poor pup suffer for the next two weeks if not longer.... Would not recommend purchasing a pup from this store.. ever.
