I have been a loyal customer to Orovilles Petco since it was built. However, I have called them one day and asked if they could clip my guinea pigs claws because they have started to be overly long and might be infected, They replied back to me and said that they dont do guinea pigs. This is ridiculous because I have bought my guinea pig from their store and would expect them to offer benefits and grooming for the pets they sell. I understand Petco is a franchise and it may go against their policy, but I dont think its right to tell a loyal customer which they bought their animal from that they cant help you with the animal they sold you. Of course I would want my groomer to know what theyre doing, but I also know theirs a lady that works there who has multiple guinea pigs and she always informs me on ways I can take care of my pet. It would be wise for Petco to groom small animals because nobody else will groom them and the groomer can pick whatever price he/she want.

Usually my here is fine, Pleasant and smooth all around , but today I was quite annoyed. Even though the store was busy , I had an employee go to the bathroom same time as me and decide to start cleaning it non-stop until just right after I left the bathroom then they decided to leave too. I find that rather annoying cuz I like privacy when I go to the bathroom and I just dont see why they only would clean it until a minute after I left the room , so it was kind of suspicious to me , I felt pretty offended like they were watching me , and there was no reason for that. Disappointed. Put back my items I was going to buy today and left.

I went to petco today in oroville looking for a bearded dragon. Being a first time dragon owner, and an overly cautious person in general, i of course had many questions. They were extremely helpful and patient. I felt like i was asking too many questions, but Joe was very eager to answer all of them!! Heidi was also very helpful. They never made me feel like they had more important things to do!! I think customer service is the most important aspect of any business and I was very pleased!! I will definately tell everyone about petco in Oroville!!!

Employees are always willing to help customers find the products theyre looking for and give them information. Petco has an excellent dog trainer here where you can bring your dog for socialization and training. This is a full-service pet store including grooming for your pets.

Its nice having a dedicated pet store in Oroville. I have always been able to find what I need stocked in this store, and the staff has helpful and friendly. No complaints here.

We are in here all the time! Staff is always helpful and nice to us! Vaccine clinic once a month, groomer, and puppy training! What more could you ask for!?

Theyre always friendly and helpful. They know me and my two dogs by name. If I happen to go in there without my dogs they always ask about them.
