What horrible customer service! I purchased a complete dog training package for my new rescue dog and was unable to use it because she turned out to be aggressive around other dogs and I didnt feel comfortable bringing her into the store. I ended up returning her to the rescue center due to an incident she had with another dog. I asked the trainer if I could transfer the training sessions to a different dog and she said it was fine. After some time, I finally got another dog - but she doesnt need any training. I decided to ask for a refund from the store. The associate told me that I couldnt get a refund because I should have asked for it before the second training session. Well...I didnt have a training schedule set up because I told the trainer I couldnt bring my dog in due to her aggression. I asked for a merchandise credit but they said there was nothing they could do! I had to call the corporate office in order to get anything resolved. The best they could do was issue me a $119 merchandise credit after spending $319 for the training package. Are you serious? I lost $200 on a service they didnt provide. After I use the credit, I will NEVER shop at this store again.

Both my Schnauzers had a grooming and bath appointment at 11 am they didnt call me till 6pm to come pick them up and when I had called earlier that day they never told me that they were behind and down a groomer. So my dogs sat in there kennels for 5 or more hours. When I picked them up they were very thirsty and had to pee badly. They were also panting. Had I known the condition they were in when I got there I wouldnt have paid $130 for there grooming!!! I will never leave them again. I will sit and watch a d sit with them until its time for them to get done.

I lost a receipt on a product my puppy hates. I called a Petco that said theyll return the product & give my $ back but I bought it another Petco in Davis Ca. I called Petco Davis & explained the above the assistant manager treated me as I was a common criminal & refused to return the item nor exchanged it & hung the phone when I asked to speak w/her supervisor. What a way to treat a customer that has been shopping there in the past especially during the holidays.

Petco is a horrible company because it treats its animals poorly and doesnt respect their nature. Male mice are housed together even though they attack each other, Female mice are crammed in tiny cages, social animals are kept alone, etc. I have to check in their animals once a week to make sure they are alright. Dont support this disrespectful chain. -A friendly Biologist

I only come here if I have to because Im in the area. Customer service is decent and the location itself is convenient. However, they never have flightless fruit flies in stock whenever I either call or come in. In fact, their live amphibian and reptile food section (crickets, roaches, etc) looked pretty destitute during my last visit.

In general, Petcos food prices are typically way higher than a non-chain pet store. But, they do offer price match, which I have occasionally made use of. However, they will not price match an online price. Because their food prices are so high, I no longer get food there. The employees at this store have been very helpful.

I would give it no stars if I could. We waited 20 minutes for someone to help us. They helped 3 other people who came in after us. Still proceeded to help another customer that came in after us when we decided to leave without anything. Awful! I have a sad kid with no fish.

Normal Petco, maybe a little older/dated. Take my daughter to look at the mice, rats, hamsters, fish, etc. Sometimes buy dog food if Im in a jam, but its all cheaper on amazon.
