The store is great. best prices on the food we like to get for our pup. the Groomer there is also nice... but its prolly better to go to another place for that. They accidentally left cotton balls in our pups ears and we didnt realize it for a few days. Now, thats no big deal. I understand that mistakes happen, and I could tell the groomer really did feel terrible for it. so really- that was no big deal. we took our pup to the vet to make sure All the cotton was removed. petco agreed to cover that vet bill, without hesitation. Here is where it got a little sticky- actually getting that reimbursement was too difficult. we played phone tag. i went to the store 4 or 5 times just to be told "only a manager can pay you back. and the manger isnt here". eventually we got reimbursed. but it took someone (who was not a manager lol) to get upset enough to just take cash out of the drawer and hand it to me. it was uncomfortable haha. but the do have the best prices. so its still where I shop.

Went to get my dogs nails trimmed, ears cleaned teeth cleaned and coat brushed 20 minutes later they said my dog didnt want his nails cut so they didnt do them they didnt clean his teeth and said they couldnt brush his coat to long because they thought his arthritis was bothering him but they still charged me for the whole treatment

Great experience :) compared to petsmart? Some of these comments baffle me. Petco has the best corporate policies in the country. I will never shop at PetSmart again. Its cheaper to shop at petco with the 5% back and price patching. Why ever go back to prtsmart. Worse care of animals Ive seen.

Stands by the usual Petco Corporation beliefs in being able to bring your animals in the shop to shop around with you. I love it here I take my cat here every time I go to get cat food. They are very generous with samples and willingness to weigh your animal as well as interact with them.

The females who work there are SO RUDE. The nerdy looking one with glasses gave me attitude and sarcasticness with every question I asked her about her store. And the one with a gap is rude and thinks shes better than everyone who ask for her help. Not polite at all.

I live in Woodland but drive to W. Sac rather than Davis because the store personnel are so wonderful. Theyre excited to see us, they spoil my dog with treats & attention, they assist me when I need it. Ive tried the Davis store a couple of times . . . Night and day!

Nice clean location but sometimes their stock and selection can be low. The staff is friendly and helpful and very down-to-Earth. I havent used the groomers personally but the dogs coming out look great.
