My review will consist of three parts as Ive been fortunate enough to deal with sales, parts, and service. SALES - bought an R6 Other than being greeted on my way to parts by the very sweet woman that works there, I didnt have much interaction with this department until I bought a 2014 Yamaha R6 for my Dad. The bike was being sold by Jesse and he was extremely helpful and courteous throughout the whole process; this guy lives and breathes to sell bikes. After the test ride at a steady 45 mph I knew that this was the bike for him and we bought it at a VERY GOOD price. Its ran like a charm ever since. The other guy that Ive dealt with here (cant remember his name, scary bigger guy) was also very professional. PARTS - bought....parts? Not much to say here - they are parts guys. They put them in a corner and they put a magical combination of numbers and letters into a computer and take your money away. I only had one hiccup here with a chain, but it was my own personal error. These guys do their job nicely. SERVICE - chain, tire mounting, brake line, tbd Best for last. I havent had a single bad experience with these guys and I know I do my best to make it hard on them. Phil is the guy up front and he does a hell of a job with appointments/general shenanigans to keep everything running smoothly. The tech they have for Kawasaki in the back (Jeremy) is the only person on this planet other than myself I would trust with my bike. Ive also had the privilege of running a track day with Shaun and their BMW tech; their knack for service is also matched by their speed at the racetrack. Only negative here - these guys wont be coming to Michigan with me. Pretty selfish, but you have to cut your losses somewhere. I have two tires Im getting mounted for the R6 as well as a valve adjustment coming up on my 250....guess where Im going? Thank you guys for all that you have done for us!

My wife and I have visited 49 states on motorcycles. Over the course of our travels we have been to numerous motorcycle dealerships. The staff at Alcoa Goodtimes is by far number one in our book. The manager, Jay Toteno, allowed us to park our truck and trailer in the lot for nearly two weeks. One of the salesmen, Hunter Fox, who has one of the coolest names Ive ever heard, gave us great directions (backroads) to start our trip. After I unloaded our bikes I noticed someone checking them out and writing down serial numbers. It turned out to be one of the techs, Kevin M., who wanted to make sure our bikes were ready for the trip. It turns out that my bike had a service update that needed performed. Kevin immediately took it into the shop, and performed the service. I expected to see his handout once he was done. Not at all... the service was covered under warranty. He just wanted to make sure the bike was in tiptop shape for our two week ride. Awesome. The parts guy, long-haired Drew has an airhead addiction and was totally fun to talk with. Once our trip was complete and as we were loading up the bikes, the owner, Jill Jansing, pulled up in her sweet Porsche and asked if we needed any help. At this point the shop was closed. There was no reason for her to take the time to check on us... but she did. Thats the way the people at Goodtimes roll. We did shop the dealership both when we arrived and when we were leaving two weeks later. Needless to say after all of our travels theres really not much left we need. We tried hard to want to buy a tee shirt or something to support the place but never found anything that tripped our trigger. But obviously that didnt matter. We were treated like we had spent a million bucks. If fact, we were treated better at Goodtimes than the dealerships weve actually bought bikes from! We feel like we found friends at Goodtimes.

This has to be a joke Yamaha and Kawasaki manufactures!!! I have a 1100 v star with a oil filter relocator on it.I went to the parts counter and asked for a replacement filter ( my first mistake) . While the gentleman behind the counter was nice,he had no idea what i was talking about.soo the next move was to get to speak to the parts manager. Her name was Jill ( I think), She was very rude and talking over me telling me i needed to let her service dept work on my bike?? WTF!! its an oil filter!! . I can only assume she had no idea what i was talking about ( trust me it was apparent). I then reluctantly went upstairs to the service dept. I then met the Jewell of Alcoa Good Times, Chris,The service manager. I explained I only needed an oil filter for my bike and was sent up here to get it or to get a part number. He was very upset to have to fool with my problem and said it would be 85.00 plus tax and parts to change the oil..Again WTF!!!! and this is the guy that over sees service for this company? Where did this company find these managers??Love to know who owns this place, surly they do not know this kind of thing is happening..or do they? I walked out to never return to this dealership again. How they are in business is beyond me, I will be writing a letter to Yamaha as well to let them know how unprofessional of a dealer they have flying there logo! WHAT A JOKE!! I have waited several weeks to write this review, I didnt want to write it upset when it happened, once I reread it,it appears i havent quit got over it yet.

Here is my expirence from sales to service. I purchased a new KLR 650 a few weeks ago. I knew what I wanted before I went to the showroom and spoke with Jesse. I really appreciated the fact Jesse did not try to up sell to a more expensive motorcycle. Jesse was very knowledgeable about the KLR 650 and answered all of my questions. I did ask him about other bikes and I told him my what riding needs were and the plans I have of where I am going ride. We kept coming back to the KLR 650. I arrived on a Saturday afternoon and rode the bike home the same day. Now this is where I am impressed and satisfied. At the 370 mile mark the bike had fuel issue. It was starving for gas. I called Jesse and explained the issue I was having. He transferred me to the service department. I was fully expecting to get the typical run around and lengthy delays in getting my new bike repaired. To my astonishment they told me to bring it the same day I called. I was also expecting the service department to have the bike for at least a week since this was 2 days before Thanksgiving. To my amazement they repaired the carbarator jet issue the next morning and called and said come and get. Fully expecting a large bill because normally a clogged jet would not be something covered under warranty. I walked into the service where they called me by name and told the bike was repaired at no charge. What a wonderful expirence! Thank you all very much. I will definitely be back for another purchase.
