The only reason there is one star is because you have to a give star to post. Let me start from the beginning. I have dealt with this store starting three years ago and loved it. The manager was sweet and nice great attitude and very knowledgeable. In the past year or so they changed management to Chris. Chris is very difficult to deal with due to his I hate my job attitude. He will openly admit he doesnt want to be there to customers. As he told me he has been switched from store to store and hates this store and company. He went as far as saying he knows NOTHING about the fish he sells and he doesnt care. I was concerned about dealing with him but fro my past experiences with getting fish from this store I figured I would give it a shot. I went to the store and bought 3 African cichlids to add to my 55 gallon tank. Total purchase of over 120.00 This is where my NIGHTMARE STARTED. When buying these type of fish you rely on them to be good quality and kept well since they are expensive. put them in my 55 gallon tank. Well these fish had internal parasites they died within three weeks and infested my other cichlids with the parasites. I lost a total of 8 adult male cichlids some I had for many years. No one in that store knows how to care for them so they should not sell them. If you attempt to buy fish from there you may want to go to the Aquarium store in Hatfield and get the medicine to cure parasites which is clout, metro medicated food and aquarium salt. Expect spend another 100 to cure. Never again will I go to that store. Oh and btw the Aquarium store sells beautiful cichlids that are good quality and they guarantee their fish.

They offer decent prices and have a great selection of pet goodies. On the other hand, I unfortunately had a distasteful encounter with a staff member this past weekend. I asked her for a receipt from the week prior because my dog had a bad reaction to a flea and tick medication that they sell. Its not Pets Plus fault but the employee was beyond rude. (I needed the receipt to get a refund of $70 from the manufacturer). Firstly, she told me that they cant trace back old receipts which I knew wasnt accurate because Ive worked in retail and Im aware of how the computer systems work. Secondly, she gave me a terrible attitude and proceeded to talk negatively about me to the costumer behind me and she acted as if calling over a manager was an annoyance. She was rude and dismissive and I dont understand why she would treat a costumer that way. Thankfully, the manager or staff member that took over was very nice, patient, and understanding of my situation. Although my experience ended on a good note and I got my receipt; I dont think I will ever be back as my initial encounter with Pet Pluss staff member left a bitter taste in my mouth.

I bought $60 worth of fish and $120 worth of everything necessary to care for those fish. We took them home and followed the directions given to us. The fish died within 4 hours. I have talked to the managers a total of 5 times and each time Im told they will call me back to discuss a refund. I was even informed that the reason they died was due to improper directions by the store employee! Nobody here seems to care that they killed these fish or that I wasted my money. I have spent thousands of dollars here on animals in the past and am EXTREMELY disappointed in this store and the people who work here. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

A wonderful place to go for all your furniture babys needs and wants. I always have a great experience there. The staff is very knowledgeable and always have time for questions and to chat about your animal. My mom adopted a puppy there and they helped her in every way she needed. They have an amazing groomer who can work with any type of animal. She cuts our pugs nails with ease and that is not an easy task. You can stop by and help socialize the puppies and kittens which is so much fun. Go in and see for yourself you will not be disappointed.

I went in to get fish tank supplies and although the store manager was very helpful, the associate was clueless. At the register no one knew how to handle returns, which held up the line for about 15 minutes. When I checked out, the items that were supposed to be on sale were ringing at regular price and because no one knew what to do, I had to buy them a regular price. I mean, I had been standing there for now 20 minutes, I had to pay and get out of there. But, I wont be back.

i love coming here. The staff is very open to questions, knowledgeable, and very caring about the animals. they also dont get mad or frustrated when one of the puppies has an accident, which some pet stores do. i went just last week looking at the puppies, looking to get one, and the woman there was telling me the answers of my questions. she was very patient also. she got the one lady to look up the names of the puppies so i could see. very sweet of her. im looking forward to going again.

My family and I love this store! We go every week to buy our dog food and visit with the puppies. (of course). Our last family member came from here, a wonderful Yorkie-Poo, named Jack. I cant believe there are bad reviews out there about this store, especially with how clean it is and how great the employees are. By the way, I love the new puppy pens they have, allowing puppies to play with each other is a great thing!

The prices are quite high and the condition of the animals isnt always the best. I bought a Chinese dwarf hamster in may. She came to me with mites. She was also very malnourished. Since then Ive gotten rid of the mites and fattened her up. They also put animals like guinea pigs and bunnies together. There is always the possibility that the bunnies can injure the guinea pigs. Please take better care of your animals

My family and I visit the store frequently. We currently have 2 dogs. We buy our food and supplies their. We also have fish. I am unsure to as why people have to post negative comments about the store. The staff is friendly, dogs seem happy, fish area is much improved. Store smells like a pet store. I have yet to go into a pet store where it smells like fresh cut roses. Btw...I have no affiliation with the company.

The supplies and everything is good. Its also a nice place to visit. I see all the adorable dogs and puppies and would love to take one home. However the price is way too much for an "adoption" of puppies or kittens. They have at least 15 puppies in each glass window room. Its an ashame they are expensive. If they lowered the price more puppies would get a home. Animal shelters have lower adoption fees.

I buy my dog food and my dog toys from here. I also bring Zoe in here for nail trimming. Everyone here has always been friendly and professional to me. The atmosphere is welcoming and they sell the better brands of dog food like Merricks which is all I feed Zoe anymore. Definitely recommend coming here rather than the other options in the area.
