I came from long island and have been a very loyal pet smart customer, I went to the one in centereach ny dumped hundreds if not a few thousand bucks, and most of the time they kept giving me a reason to come back but ever since I moved up here and only have this pet smart I think I need to find a different place to get dog food and give my loyalty and money somewhere else. Each time I tried to make an appointment to get my dog groomed there always miserable always booked or understaffed, today to top it off I wanted to do a walk in to get my dogs nails trimmed and they told me I cant do walk ins although last time they told me not to make an appointment had to speak to a manager and then I was able to come in...all of a sudden...weird. but then to top it off after my long day I drove the 35 mins if not more to get here and they couldnt even cut my dogs nails when last time they did, they said she was to jumpy and wouldnt stay still...they have no compassion for dogs. Maybe if you actually showed you cared instead of just yanking her and putting her on a table instead of calming her down she doesnt know you and shes still young, so than I had to go get a refund right after I bought a 45$ bag of food..and now I still have to find someone to cut my dogs nails. Thanks pet smart let me down for the final time. Manager Mike tried to fix it and was very professional but his team is letting him down.

This is not specifically about Petsmart, but about Animals Cant Talk shelter, which provides their cats. A friend adopted a cat from Petsmart, and soon after adoption the cat began to gain weight. When my friend spoke to Naomi Gauntlett at Animals Cant Talk shelter about her possibly being pregnant, they told her the cat was either a different cat or was having a false pregnancy. The cat just had kittens yesterday. When my friend attempted to contact Naomi again, she accused her of "trying to pull something" and told her obviously she had switched the cats. She told my friend that this is "the second time shes tried to pull this", and cited a different phone call that my friend never made (perhaps another person has had the same experience?!) They are not willing to spay the cat, and Naomi has been VERY rude over email. BE VERY CAREFUL ADOPTING FROM HERE!!! I have been a veterinary technician for 6 years, and Ive worked with many shelters. These people have no sense of customer service, and are completely unwilling to admit their mistakes. BEWARE!!

The service here was terrible. I took my cat to get it groomed because they offered cat grooming as well, and after an hour they called me saying my cat was ready for pick up. When I went, they told me they didnt give her a bath but only shaved one part of her body and cleaned her ears because she was hissing. Even though I informed them my cat is DECLAWED and does not attack. I was dissapointed because as a grooming service you should be prepared to deal with CATS even though they dont like water. I suggested maybe a cone around her head to minimize biting but the groomer refused to continue grooming my cat and wanted to charge me full price. I refused to pay for something that wasnt done so I asked to speak to a manager. Paid 23 dollars just for them to shave one part of her body and clean her ears and my cat didnt get a bath. I ended up doing it myself. Very dissatisfied with this place.

When we got our dog, we went to the Petsmart in Stroudsburg initially to purchase new items for our puppy. At that time we were introduced to the in house hospital, which is Banfield. We signed up for their Wellnwss program. which is less than 40 dollars a month. Not only does it cover most everything you have done (except prescription cost), the care and love our pet gets is awesome. Everyone that works in that hospital is terrific. And they are all very knowledgeable Our dog, Diesel, loves going there and the care he gets is just what anyone would love to have for their pet. . I recomend their services to everyone. All I ever have to say is "Were gonna go see Dawn" (his favorite Nurse at Petsmart] and hes in the car.

Worst customer service ever. Got a new puppy and received a crate as a gift. Never opened the original box the crate came in because its too big for this breed of pup. Its still factory sealed. Took the crate back to Stroudsburg Petsmart to exchange it for a smaller crate. They refused because I had no receipt. I didnt ask for any refund, only an exchange. They refused. Guess Ill have to sell this one on Craigslist. Went down to Pets Supplies Plus and got everything I needed there. No use returning to Petsmart anymore. They lost me as a customer permanently.

Took my toddlers to the store to get a new pet. My youngest was all over the place but the sales lady was super helpful with distracting him and was super patient with me while I handled my kids. She was very helpful in the selection of our new pets, 2 Russian hamsters, the equipment, and food. Very knowledgeable and directed me on how to care for them. Only 4 stars since my youngest almost ran out of the store because of the ease of automatic sliding doors. Little caution to Moms and owners of dogs/pets that might run out.

Customer service was so rude and unhelpful. I bought a chameleon not even a week ago and he is very sick so I called customer service and the man who answered was very rude and talked to me as if what I was saying was wrong. They did not help me with my chameleon problem and instead just offered me to come in and buy a new one. Ive had several people buy reptiles from this location and they have died or got sick not even a day after they took them home. I do not recommend buying or getting help from this location.

6 months ago the pet trainer from this location was scolding us for buying an unhealthy puppy from a local store claiming that the puppy is from a puppy mill. Secondly, I just bought a bag of Nutro dog food for young adult large breed dogs and there are mice inside the bag! I am pissed off behind any belief. I will never trust these filthy people with my trust ever again!

Too much money for grooming for such bad service. Took my dog last night and she came out the same as I dropped her off. The grooming area was a disaster with hair everywhere considering it was 8 pm and I personally think its unsanitary for our dogs. Just very unhappy and I especially do not like that every time i go there are different faces. Just not consistent.

Bought home 3 large bags of dog food, 2 pedigree and something else. Both Pedigrees loaded with moths and half eaten. Disgusting! I spent over 70.00 dollars with a coupon. I will never buy dog food there again nor can I possibly recommend Petsmart for that reason. This food must have been sitting around since the birth of the store!
