M & F Auto Sales is a used car dealer located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The business has been the subject of various customer reviews that touch upon several aspects of its operations. This article aims to provide an in-depth analysis of these reviews to offer a comprehensive understanding of what one might expect when dealing with M & F Auto Sales.
Customers have reported mixed experiences regarding the sales tactics employed at M & F Auto Sales. Some reviews indicate that the sales representatives can be pushy, especially when a customer shows interest in a particular vehicle. In one instance, a customer felt cornered into making a purchase without even test-driving the vehicle.
The after-sales service appears to be lacking, according to customer feedback. Issues that were promised to be fixed remained unaddressed even after multiple visits. One customer reported that the sunroof in the purchased vehicle was not functional, and the dealership was unresponsive to the issue.
Customers have noted that some of the vehicles on the lot have been there for an extended period and may have various issues such as sagging headliners or broken trailer wiring harnesses. Despite these conditions, the dealership did not seem proactive in addressing these issues before selling the vehicles.
There are concerns about the transparency in pricing at M & F Auto Sales. Some customers have reported that the price was increased during the financing process, and there was a lack of clarity on why additional costs were being added.
The dealership offers a range of used cars, but the condition of these cars varies. Some customers have reported that the cars were not detailed or cleaned properly before being put up for sale.
The sales staff's approach varies from friendly to pushy, depending on the location and the particular sales representative. Some customers have had pleasant experiences with no-pressure sales, while others felt coerced into making a purchase.
The service department has received negative reviews, particularly for their attitude change when services were to be performed under the dealership's "we owe" list. One customer reported a transmission fluid leak due to a bolt not being tightened properly.
M & F Auto Sales operates from multiple locations, and the customer experience seems to vary depending on the location. While some had a better experience at the Wyoming location, others found the Coors location less satisfactory.
The reviews for M & F Auto Sales paint a picture of a dealership with both strengths and weaknesses. While some customers have had satisfactory experiences, others have faced issues ranging from pushy sales tactics to lack of after-sales service. Potential customers should exercise due diligence and be prepared for a mixed bag of experiences.

This was the worst auto buying experience I have ever had. We entered this place only looking at vehicles because we were still shopping around. The second we showed an interest in a Ford Excursion, the salesman, Jude immediately took us inside to fill out the application to see if we would even be approved. He repeatedly said this is just an application, you are not obligated to purchase. Once we were approved it felt like we were being pushed to purchase this vehicle because Jude was able to negotiate the payments to what we needed. At one point we had told him that we still wanted to shop around and his response was to repeatedly show us the numbers and remind us that we would have payments right where we needed them. I truly felt backed into a corner because Jude kept pushing the issue about the payments and how good the vehicle was. Ultimately, we ended up signing the contract without test driving this truck and without being told about all the minor issues, basically going in blind. Whats worse is Jude did not even offer a test drive. We were immediately ushered into the office to sign papers. The sunroof in the vehicle ended up not working and when it was brought to Judes attention, we were told that they do not have anyone who could look or fix it so basically the minute the truck left their possession they wanted nothing to do with it. These guys are slick and will con an old woman out of her life savings if they had the opportunity. I have huge regrets about ever stopping at this dealership and I warn others not to go there if they can help it. If Jude would have respected our choice to continue shopping instead of pushing this truck on us, we would not be in this situation. I will never go to any M&F Auto ever again.

Ive had mixed experiences at M&F. At the location on Wyoming, the salesman was very friendly, no pressure and let us take out a couple of cars. At the Coors location, it was largely the same and we decided to purchase a vehicle there. I arranged my own financing, but let the dealership try to match or beat my banks rate. The salesman comes back and says they need another $500 downpayment and puts a piece of paper in front of my to sign that says "Extended warranty...." with no further explanation. I knew my financing and said "no" and asked for the sales contract that I would just take to my bank. As part of the deal they agreed to change all the fluids in the car. I made an appointment with their friendly service dept and brought the car in. When the service manager learned this was on their "we owe" list, his attitude changed from friendly to put out and he suddenly didnt know how long the car was going to take. I picked the car up in the afternoon. I dont know if they changed all the fluids or not, but I do know they changed the transmission fluid because when I got home, the car was leaking transmission fluid because they didnt tighten the bolt enough. I checked the level and tightened up the bolt myself. I will never take any car I own to their service dept. They blew their chance with that experience. Overall, the price on the car and experience was ok, but nothing stellar. All the same rules about car buying apply at this place as at any other. Know the kind and price range of car before you walk onto the lot, have your own financing prearranged and take the car to an independent mechanic for a prepurchase inspection.

I found a 2003 Ford Excursion posted by M & F Auto Sales. I contacted the sales manager "Jeff". After driving and walking around the vehicle I noticed that there was a broken trailer wiring harness and bent harness hanger, a heavily sagging head liner, and the truck was dirty and had never been detailed even though it had sat on the lot for over 2 months. I brought these issues up to Jeff and he said that if I bought the truck he would fix them. I requested that since he already had the vehicle to do the repairs and then I would come back and purchase the truck. About one week went by and I never heard back from Jeff. I went back and found that the Excursion was in the same condition I had left it in. I brought this to Jeffs attention. Jeff said that he was not sure what I had wanted repaired and that he would take care of it. About another week went by and I was contacted by Mr. "Garcia", a sales representative from M & F Auto who stated that the Excursion was ready. I went back and found that the Excursion was detailed but the issues I advised them about were still not repaired. The trailer wiring harness was now held up by a plastic wire tie and the head liner was still sagging. Mr. Garcia said that they were still uncertain of what repairs I was talking about. Since the last visit the Excursion sold and I was not given the opportunity to purchase the vehicle. Since the mechanical shop is located on the property and M & F Auto offers a 1,000 mile warranty post sale I thought this was an absolute lack of customer appreciation. Buyer Beware!

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!! I had read a few positive google reviews and decided to trust M&F Auto. Our salesman Curtis advised us not to buy anything in our price range saying "he wouldnt feel right selling us a car like that" funny he felt right selling us a car 3x more expensive. When we were getting financed the man had raised the price $5,000 from what Curtis had told us literally minutes before. I refused to pay this and he lowered it to the original amount, but was not happy about doing so. I have had the car all of 2 weeks, and it left me stranded at the gas station today. I called and spoke to an Eric who was not helpful at all, saying "well did you try jumping it?". After jumping it and driving it around so it could charge, it got me home. I tried to start it again and of course, it would not do anything. I called Eric again and asked if I bought a battery if they could pay me back, because I absolutely cannot miss work, and have to be in by 8am and work until 5pm. He said no that all I could do was bring it in. So now I have a car that Ill have to jump to even get to work, find someone to jump me at work to take it to the service center and just pray that I make it before they close at 6. Id highly advise anyone looking for a reliable vehicle and a good honest deal to look elsewhere. Because M&F will offer you neither of these things!!!!!!!!

We went to M&F after my brother and sister bought a car from them. On Craigslist, they had a nice car that we were interested in and since they had good prices we went to check it out. After looking at the car and test driving it, there was no room for negotiation--even though the car was $500 over KBB retail value. We were going to go ahead and get the car since we both really liked it. During the test drive, we found out that the sunroof wasnt working--the sales guy said that they would fix it if we wanted it. Back at the office while preparing the paperwork, they started to get pushy. They were now factoring in an extra $1500 while refusing to breaking down why they were (on top of TTL, mind you). Not only were they going up in price, but they werent going to fix the sunroof--even though we were paying over value. Their reasoning was that theyve put some money into it fixing it up--a fuel pump among them. I understand that they had money into it, but value is value--the margin that they had was their problem. After they refused to fix the sunroof that they clearly indicated they would, we just walked away from the "deal". Not only were they unhelpful, but the Sales Manager (Marcel) refused to even shake my hand after we couldnt reach a deal. How classless. M&Fs prices might be tempting, but beware of these cons.
