Absolutely disgusted with this place! My boyfriend and I came in here to look at their fancy rats. We found a baby we just had to hold. The employee seemed bothered by our interest in the pup. She reached in to fetch her reminding us that they were not pets. (rats are actually some of the best small pets you can have!) She fell asleep right on us. We were trying to see if she was a girl so we were gently trying to peek under her tail. The employee muttered a "here" and pulled the baby out of our hands by the tail stated "girl" in a tone and gave her back. I was SHOCKED. you NEVER pick anything up by the tail. I eventually told her she didnt have to hover that we were frequent guests who knew how to put a rat back. She sighed with relief stating something along the lines of "oh good I thought if i left youd write a bad review about me leaving you with a rat. thanks for making my job easier". She even suggested that we look at dumbos that they were getting in the next week instead of the baby we were holding saying "it wont be here soon". My boyfriend and I left but decided that wed take in the pup. We made arrangements for her and everything. First thing in the morning he goes in to purchase her for a hold since she is only 2 weeks old and has to be with her mother for another 3. We have done this twice. The OWNER told him he couldnt buy her because itd be too much of a hassle to mark her and that theyd made mistakes int he past with selling rats that were already sold. Basically if we want to adopt her we have to wait three weeks and hope she isnt sold for food. We will try our best to save her from this place but after that we will NEVER return and I encourage others to do the same if you care about how animals and customers are treated.

I started purchasing my fish from here two years ago. During this time I have also purchased fish from chain stores such as Petco. I have found that my fish that are the healthiest and have lived the longest so far are from Fins & Feathers. Most recently, I purchased my very first reptile - a Leopard Gecko - from here. The staff was very accommodating as I probably asked to see almost all of their geckos (AND THEY HAVE A LOT) before picking the one I wanted. I was able to purchase everything I needed for him (minus the tank because I already had one) for a reasonable price. They have such a great variety of feeder insects as well. I am glad I purchased the food I needed from there at the time because later I went to Petco to get calci worms and their entire stock was dead and decaying in the fridge. So I am definitely sticking to using this stores reptile food! Overall, very friendly and KNOWLEDGEABLE staff, healthy pets, and great variety across the board.

Were local to this store and buy supplies here - pricey but fine. Then we made the mistake of buying a hamster here. Should have listened to the other raters - the hamster was in poor health from the start and not eating well or acting right. Weve had hamsters before, but were no experts, so we called two days later and they were very happy to sell us medication but made no effort to actually resolve the "you sold us a sick hamster" problem. A few days after that, I contacted them again and a young (helpful, nice) employee told us the medication would take five days to work. So I ended up taking a $20 hamster to the vet within a week ($$) but the poor little guy died within a few days. Two very upset kids and a lot of money and frustration wasted. Reading the other reviews, Im not surprised and will shop elsewhere.

Most of the employees here are very attentive and will always ask me on how they can help out. This is a great pet store that has good products and healthy animals. I got a crested gecko a number of years ago (probably around 4 years) and he is doing great and we had no problems what so ever. Here they also stock good quality food like the Repashy crested gecko diet. The only other gecko diet that I can think of that is as high of quality is the Pangea Reptile diet. I am currently considering getting a new reptile from this store to add to my collection. The only thing to we aware of is the higher prices than you see at something like a petco, though this is okay with me because it is a local business and it seems to be helping the animals have better care than animals at a pet chain store.

I love shopping here. I have 12 animals and plan to get more soon. The place is very clean and you are greeted by a turtle or parrot. The workers are very knowledgeable and well trained. I needed stuff for my hermit crabs and they had everything. A food dish, eco earth, food, shells etc. They had everything. I also like getting fish here because they are always healthy fish. Ive had one fish for about 5 years now. It has fin rot right now because I accidentally overstocked but is under treatment and is planned to make a full recovery. The prices are pretty good and if it isnt on the shelf its most likely in the back room

Was in to inquire about the type of shark i had a couple weeks ago. I showed a picture to a young gentleman and he said it was a hybrid of two types. He said that his boss might be interested in purchasing the shark ad it appeared to be a desirable specimen. I stopped in today to discuss it with said boss, only to be dismissed by a younger girl, being told they only accept free donations. This guy wouldnt even come out to talk to me face to face. Bunch of clowns. Never been so disrespected in my life.

I love this place and go often. I have two dogs and a crested gecko. Unlike other places they have never steered me wrong and believe me most pet stores will push you to buy everything and anything when you dont know what to get for a crested gecko. (I have more than a few things sold to me elsewhere that I know are useless after a few years of gecko ownership). They only keep the healthiest selection and dont bother with the other garbage out there which shows they really do know their stuff!

Went to look at goldfish, and was delighted to find the young woman working there has really made it a point to learn how to properly care for the goldfish and koi. Going above and beyond what other stores would-properly treating infected fish, researching care when home from work, and that she inspected the fish picked out before bagging it-would not sell a sick fish. Much more comfortable buying my goldfish there then the chain stores that have no real knowledge for proper care.

I just restarted my aquarium and couldnt find a decent fish store until now! The fish selection is decent, but more importantly the tanks are well cared for and the fish are healthy. I was a little worried about the young age of the workers there, but they have all been very helpful. I have decided that this is my new favorite store for fish supplies and fish. If you are into reptiles, they have a decent snake and lizard collection.
