Id had two previous poor experiences with HYK but I needed a service kit (part # T3990009) which includes everything needed for the 12K service. I assumed this would be something stocked but given my prior experience with them I called to verify. I was told they didnt have the kit in stock because, "We dont do kits." which is unfortunate as that is something I really like about Triumph. They offer this handy single part number kit for convenience and I appreciate that. So anyway, I was then told that they should have everything else in stock. I told them Id be there later to grab them and then went out to the garage and started tearing down the bike. A couple hours later I drive the 40 minutes to get there and the parts associate starts pulling parts. Filter, check, drain plug gaskets, check, spark plugs...would you like me to order the plugs for you? This is absolutely mind blowing, not only do you not keep the handy service kit in stock but you dont have spark plugs?! I didnt even wait around to see if the rest of the parts are there. Told the guy Id just order the kit online. Drove the 40 minutes back home and ordered the handy kit from BikeBandit. As a service writer for a competitor I just can not comprehend not keeping basic maintenance items in stock and I definitely have no clue how a bike shop can continue to stay in business with such dismal customer service. As an employee in the local motorcycle industry I had really wanted to be happy with HYK so I could keep my business local but Ive given them three chances to earn my business so far and each time Ive left frustrated. My next motorcycle purchase is going to be the new Thruxton R and Ill be making that purchase at Pandoras in Chattanooga.

Great purchasing experience. Just great. Possibly because I bought 3- 250s with warranty ($600 each) total of $14136 . Was told any manufacturer defects will be covered by warranty as long as maintenance was done. Ive bought cars before, so yes sign me up. Ok so now after having 4 wheelers for 3 years, (yes we changed the oil, cleaned the air filters "maintenance") we are riding down a busy road and the motor locks up and the 4wheeler is toast. So we take it in. My son does his own maintenance, showed the service guy the air filter that he had cleaned. The service guy agreed the air filter was clean and not a concern. After many calls to customer service and the dealer - they still say the other one is responsible for making the decision (so somebody sure doesnt know what their job is)-I was told there was dust in the motor and the warranty will not cover it. Ive argued and got mad. You know I may not have got my customer satisfaction, and I sure as heck didnt get what I paid for--BUT I sure dont have to spend my money on another Honda! So Honda, the Rancher or Foreman that we had planned on purchasing, will sure have a different brand on it. You cut off your nose to spite your face. That warranty coverage sure makes better business sense than losing a buying customer who has 3 boys that loves 4 wheelers. So thank you for this learning experience!!

Last week my Honda NC700 fell over in a gravel parking lot in Kentucky curling the brake lever. It was functional but cumbersome to use so I tried to unbend it - unsuccessfully. I drove right through Knoxville but didnt want to look for a Honda dealer there because of my notion"big city guys" dont always treat little guys well. In desperation, not finding a Honda dealer that had my part, I ended up back-tracking to Knoxville Honda /Yamaha and couldnt have been more pleased with the experience. The parts guy was very courteous and THEY had the part in stock. Then I explained to the guy I talked to in the service dept (so bummed I didnt get his name) I had driven through Ontario from NY, down through Michigan and was making my way back home when this micro-mishap occurred. He knew very well I was not going to be buying a bike from them but youd never have known it. He replaced the lever and gave me back the old one - hed bent back in shape (for a spare). AND He noticed my chain was loose and tightened up my chain - all for the price of the part. I was on the road in less than an hour - much of that time spent looking at their major inventory of new bikes. If I lived anywhere near Knoxville - these would be the folks Id be working with - GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE - THANKS - Mark from Upstate New York

I visited them 11/12/2016 to get my 600 mile initial service on my new 2015 Yamaha FJR. I bought the bike in Illinois and was riding it home to South Carolina and they were right at the 600 mile mark for me. I had called a few days before to get an estimate for the service and was quoted just under $250 which is what I was told by my dealership that it should cost. Instead when I got there he said it would be $277 + the final drive oil which he guesstimated at about $8. He thought it would take between 1.5 and 2 hrs. to complete. I mentioned that I was quoted earlier in the week that it would be $240 something and that included all the fluids and he said thats right, plus tax. The price ended up being $304.73. I think originally I was quoted 1.5 hrs. labor which is how long it took but was charged for 2 hrs. That was the difference. They charge $49.50 per 1/2 hr. Just feel like I was taken advantage of since I was just passing though. I had other options but this is what I planned ahead for so at that point I was committed.

Amazing service dept. **Very good communication on my 400EX (which Ive had at 3 other places trying to get basic stuff fixed, the last place let it set for 2 weeks before I went and got it). **I am in the auto industry and can not say enough about how far customer service can go when it comes to word of mouth and overall business as a whole. **The place in Corbin, Ky that had my 400EX for two weeks.... Ill never say a good word about them or even mention them to anyone again after this. You guys, however, will continue to get my business! not to mention all of my friends/co-workers Thanks a lot, keep up the great work!! 10 stars for this place awesome people.......

My husband went down there 2 Saturdays ago and applied for a GROM. Knowing hes just now establishing credit we figured we would have to have a downpayment or a co-signer. They told us we would hear back Monday evening Tuesday morning the latest. Called Tuesday and they stated they would return his call and didnt, Saturday comes (1 week later) and he called again only to be told someone will call him back before they close. Well guess what? Nobody called. I also dont think they even turned his application into the bank because I have 24/7 credit monitoring and Ive YET to get a notification that his credit was pulled. So were Taking our business elsewhere.
