This review is based exclusively on the grooming salon and the employee Jen. Hands down the worst haircut and customer service I have ever experienced. I have taken our cocker spaniel to multiple locations, including different Petsmart locations, and until this point, there has only been one other salon where I did not like his haircut. Even at that location though, they kept his skirt at the same length. Jen, however, decided to completely eliminate his skirt, claiming that he had mats (not true - he had only small tangles/clumpings that are easily removed with a slicker brush, and I had recently brushed him myself). She shaved him so close that he looks like a different breed of dog. And the cut is uneven, with parts that are hacked. She cut his eyelashes, which we specifically asked her not to do. Weve been growing out his eyelashes for a year and a half. Furthermore, she berated us for coming in on a weekend because its "stressful for the dogs when the salon is busy." This surprised us as we had called ahead and they had happily scheduled us for the appointment. An unbelievable waste of $47 on a supposed cocker cut - I shouldve been charged for the cheapest shaving possible, as it was nothing more. Needless to say, I will not be returning. If you go to this petsmart do not let Jen groom your dog.

Ive always been a fan of Petco until I came across this one. I went to the grand opening with a friend and each asked for a voucher for a set of free pet vaccinations. It was hard to find help because the employees at this location dont offer it like the other locations... Maybe they were still busy setting up the store? Kinda odd to not have greeters at the entrance on such an important weekend. When we found someone, she responded by saying she cant give us two because we live in the same household. Well, I explained to her that just because we are both the same race doesnt mean we are related or that we live together... We live 2 hours apart. The employee rolled her eyes, sighed, said "whatever" like she didnt believe us, and gave us vouchers. I thought maybe that was 1 bad apple in the store or a stressful day for them, but a few days ago I called to ask if they had any protective balm or paw booties for my pup. They said they dont carry those and left it at that. I feel like theyre pretty common products and Ive seen them at the park meadows location, they could have referred me but that would be too much work. I think these employees simply dont care about customer service.

The only reason Im giving as many stars as I am is because of the ladies over in the fish area. They are so passionate and knowledgeable of what they do. I was having issues with my sons fish tank and they went above and beyond to assist me with figuring out what was wrong. Its always a pleasant encounter with these ladies. Jeff, the "store manager" is rude and inconsiderate and clearly doesnt care too much about his job. I have witnessed on several occasions, treating his employees like garbage (when they look like theyre working harder than him), I personally had an issue with him when their was a miscommunication at the groomers Salon. He point blank told me I was In the wrong and was just not pleasant dealing with. I ended up calling the next morning and spoke with a gentleman whos name started with a C or a K (kind of a different name) and he resolved the issue for me no problem. I admire everyone who works at petsmart here in Castle Rock.. Except for Jeff.. Such a shame that a wonderful store has such a crappy man managing it.

Loved them the first time we took our cat in for a hair cut (super cute), but then we tried to schedule another appointment and cant believe the hassle. Scheduled online to take our cat in on my day off and then got a voicemail saying that appointment time wasnt actually available (even though their online system said it was) and they arbitrarily scheduled us for another appointment the following week. Which didnt work for us. So we called back and asked to reschedule but they said they cant do any scheduling over the phone; only online. So I made an appointment online. Same thing happened. Got a voicemail saying that appointment wasnt really available and they arbitrarily rescheduled us to some other date. Which didnt work for us (sorry, but we have jobs and a family and cant just come in at their whim), and when we "no showed" to the appointment THEY MADE without any input from us, we got a voicemail saying since we no showed TWICE (huh??), our cat is banned from ever coming there again. Talk about moronic.

Horrible customer service. Incompetent staff. Not sure why this store has stopped carrying Blue Buffalo Salmon and Potatoes in smaller bags. My dog is ten pounds and the larger bags do not have a great seal for freshness. I have requested multiple times to have the smaller bags ordered and my request continue to be ignored. One staff member told me that they didnt have enough room on the shelf! But had other flavors in double and triple rows! Being a customer for seven years and having an important request ignored is frustrating enough, but to have to deal with a rude manager and staff has sent me across the street to Chuck and Dons Pet Store. They ordered the dog food and treats in the sizes that fit our needs in three days. I will never return to a pets mart again.

The grooming salon is the most unprofessional group of people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. They took my dog into the grooming salon and two hours later they call me telling me that my dog has horrible behavior so they could not groom him. They left him tied against the table for two hours so he broke out of the restraint. If you leave any 90 pound dog tied up for two hours they are going to hate it. Then they threw him in a kennel and made me go back into the back and drag him out of the kennel myself. He is the nicest puppy ever. He has never growled. Does not have behavior issues, they just do not know how to do their job. Do not go here. I recommend you find actual professionals that will be able to do the work they promise.

DO NOT GET PETS HERE! I got 2 pet rats from pet smart, where they were stuck in a un cleaned 1 foot by 1 foot by 1 foot box with at least one other rat. Rats are meant to have cages that are at least 3 feet by 2 feet by 3 feet for that many rats. I later learned that they had been badly abused either in the store or at their distrubuter, maybe both. They gave me no advice on how to handle my animal, and didnt seem to care either! I got my other rat at Petco where they briefed me on the rats, got me to sign release and vet forms, and kept them in humane housing. If any other animal is like those rats, I urge you to avoid shopping at Petsmart.

Too many details to write about my experience, but I will say that PetSmarts grooming salon service was the worst I have ever experienced. The store manager -Amanda- was completely illogical and unreasonable when dealing with my concern. Her only response was "Im sorry I cant help you with your concern today". I ended up walking out with my two dogs, without having them groomed, and will never be back to PetSmart again... For ANY service. I would not recommend ever using their grooming salon. Take your pets to the new PetCo in town instead!
