I have never felt more compelled to write a review than I do today. What I just experienced here is the epitome of RUDE, CONDESCENDING and UNPROFESSIONAL. I called yesterday to see how soon I could get my two female Cavaliers King Charles Spaniels groomed, as we just couldnt make our regular groomers (of 4+ years) schedule work with ours this time. I dropped them off a little before 10am and spoke to the groomer who made some suggestions on length of hair for the body and legs (some similar suggestions to what Im used to, some different). In the end, I trusted her professional opinion but I did say, twice, please leave their ears and tails long. She agreed. As I was leaving she said it takes about 1.5 hours per dog and asked if sometime around 2:00 would be okay. I said that would be fine. At 1:15, I was about 10 minutes away and thought I would call to see if they were finished. (1.5 hours x 2 dogs=3 hours/10am+3 hours is 1pm, right?). The male voice who answered said, Which dogs? Oh, let me check. He picked up and said No, theyre not done, itll be around 2, LIKE WE SAID THIS MORNING. I thought that was a bit snarky, but whatever. At 2:30, when I still hadnt received a call, I headed over there. When I walked in at 2:36, his first words to me were, Did you not hear me say they would be ready at 2:00? I replied, Oh sorry, I assumed you would call me. You both said sometime AROUND 2 and Ive always had my groomer call me when theyre ready. Just a miscommunication on both our parts. I paid while waiting for my dogs and was asked if I wanted to leave a gratuity (BEFORE I saw the quality of their cuts). I left one. When my sweet Blenheim cavalier walked out I couldnt help but say OH NO, WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR EARS?!? The groomer immediately responded they were really matted underneath so I had to cut them. Our dogs have been groomed every 2-4 months for 4 years. I can assure you, Cavaliers ears can get snarly but they ABSOLUTELY did not need to be cut to her puppy length. Not only that, they were completely choppy. No apologies were offered. I left. In utter shock. When I got home, I reread all of their reviews and knew I wasnt alone in feeling this way, so I decided to call them to see if they would be open to my feedback. I was put on the line with the groomer, who apologized for not calling me to tell me that Mollie was having a hard time while getting her ears brushed and would she like me to cut them as short as humanly possible. When I said, wait, so she was getting squeamish so you decided to take a shortcut and just chop off all the hair so you didnt have to deal with her fussing? Of course she got offended and said that she just made the professional call to cut them since my dog didnt like getting them brushed. She again said I admit, I should have called you first. She asked what she could do to make it up to me. I said, What CAN you do? At this point, she looks like a male hunting dog instead of my sweet, pretty female cavalier. She said Are you looking for a refund? I said I guess, I dont know what else can be done. They wont grow 7 inches in 2 weeks for her Christmas pictures. She said Ill put you through to my receptionist and he can take care of it. The male receptionist said Okay, I can refund your $65 (no mention of refunding the tip, of course) but I want you to know our policy is that if someone gets a refund on a grooming, your dogs wont be able to come back to our store. I couldnt believe it! I told him I would write a review so others would know if theyre dissatisfied with a grooming (that the groomer admitted was her fault) you will be BANNED FROM THE STORE. His response takes the cake, Im not too worried about losing your business since we already have a really good client base. Have a good day. CLICK. Wow, imagine how many more customers they could have if they took feedback seriously and didnt project an immature, unprofessional attitude in response to it. Dont worry, I definitely wont be back.

Deidre has been an amazing groomer for my "special needs" Shih Tzu for over 5 years. Walter is "special needs" because he is a HUGE pain in the neck to try and groom... He is a very strong personality and a control freak who HATES to be touched by strangers. Walter had been turned away by a few different groomers before we found Deidre. She worked very patiently and tirelessly with Walter over the years to ensure that his grooming experience was as pleasant as possible. Very sadly we had to leave The Wag Shop behind because we moved out of Colorado. As if Deidre hadnt been so incredible already, she then helped me find ant vet a new groomer for Walter where we live now. WAAAAYYY above and beyond the call of duty! Deidre has been such a blessing. I recommend her over and over.

My dog is literally my lively hood. Deidra and her staff have been nothing but wonderful in taking care of Macaroni the bed bug dog. My weeks can be very, very busy and making it difficult to schedule ahead of time. They always manage to be able to make time for Macaronis anal gland maintenance and toe trim needs at a moments notice. Also they stock Taste of The Wild dog food. It is great for my pup. So weird... I walked into the shop and asked to have dog groomed and was immediately told pooch could stay and get groomed. A month later I called (today) and asked when the next available appointment was. The guy on the phone says they are booked 2-3 weeks out. I say, "ok" waiting him to give me the date I can schedule my appointment.... He said sorry and hung up. Uhm......ok guess my dog cant go here and I live 2 blocks away. Ill walk in and see if its a diff story tomorrow.

The people at the Wag Shop do a great job with our Japanese Chin, and they are always very friendly and accommodating. They offer a wide variety of services and their prices are very reasonable for the quality that they provide. Weve tried several groomers over the years, and they are the best, by a long shot!

Love going to this shop! I take my mothers mini-schnauzer here and Ellie (the dog) always leaves happy as hell and clean as a whistle. The grooms are top notch and I couldnt be happier. This is certainly one of the top grooming shops in Denver.

Stopped by while on vacation. Clean, organized store. The employee was very knowledgeable and helped me find a tough stuffed toy that my dog loves! There are also items for cat lovers and unique CO souvenirs that you can get for your dog.
