Ive grocery shopped here for a few years and I have now decided that I will not be returning. I live in one of the local subdivisions about 5 minutes away so could not be more convenient, however based upon some recent experiences, Im done shopping here and Ill drive it another 7 minutes down the road to go to Harris Teeter. The event that has compelled me to leave this review is the fact that I recently purchased food that had been clearly opened and partially used by somebody at home and then taped shut. It was a little bag of grits sold in the local section near the front of the store. It was packaged in a little fabric couch which was tied shut so I did not see that it had been opened before I went home. Grits. Not exactly something that somebody could just grab a little taste of and walk off. They were clearly cut open at the corner with a pair of scissors, at which point about half of the package was poured out and (I assume) prepared. My theory is that somebody had to have returned these to the store and customer service decided that instead of discarding the food they would just put it back on the shelves for somebody else to buy it. I went through all of this with the customer service manager and the store manager, and while they both apologized, they refused to entertain how this could have happened. The lackadaisical attitude really does nothing for my confidence in how they handle food. This isnt the first time Ive been sold food that had been tampered with, along with close to a dozen times Ive come home to find that was moldy, expired, or otherwise spoiled the same day it was purchased. If you shop here, you better be sure to check dates and inspect any packaged foods as well as you can for hidden mold. Ultimately this store got a fancy renovation, but they need serious help where it really counts.

Since the remodel, this store has upped their grocery game. Now you can get fresh meats, salads, and sandwiches at the deli. There is a pick and prep area where you pick the fruits and vegetables and they do all the peeling and chopping for you. Produce is always fresh with a great variety. There is a bakery and a "Sausage Works" that will custom make any kind of sausage you like as well as producing some home style favorites. There is a small sushi station that always seems to be running on empty, and it is tasty with Sushi Wednesday specials for $5 all day. I am not a drinker, but I hear they have some unique and worldly beers in the Beer Den. These are the real highlights; otherwise, youll find a well stocked grocery store with the right mix of local, unique, high end, low end, and generic options. I mainly visit the store for the fresh options like the deli, sushi, and produce and supplement my big box trips with items intermittently. The store is clean, and the staff is professional and kind. Parking is plentiful and the area is up and coming with a good selection of restaurants nearby. Its an awesome anchor location with potential to grow the community.

I love going to lowes foods, they have great food options and the employees are really nice. I popped into the lowes today to get lemons, I got to the counter and realized I left my wallet at home. I told the cashier Linda plz hold them Ill go to my car Ill have some spare change there that I can use. She said no dont worry and she paid for it. It was $3, but the gesute Ill remember for ever it saved me the trouble to run home and run back to the store. Thank you LINDA, a big shout out to you. You are very kind!

Love to shop here! The store is clean, staff is friendly and the food is fresh! Bakery department is wonderful, they go above and beyond to help you choose your sweets, and so is the floral department. They always LISTEN to you - and then make the most beautiful floral arrangements, just right for your occasion. I also love that true community feel, with all the local street names displayed by the cash registers, what a nice touch!

This Lowes foods has my favorite employees of all the Lowes foods across Raleigh (of which I have been to most!)! I am yet to see one without a smile on their face and a kind word to say! The food is fresh, the chicken kitchen is always well stocked and delicious, and the baggers do a great job with my reusable bags! Its also always very clean!! So important with the food I want to feed my family! I am pleased every time I visit!

Employees are always helpful and friendly. The store is easy to navigate and they always have the products we are looking for. The updated bakery, deli, and meat departments are a nice addition after their renovation. The prices are a little higher here than at other local grocery stores but the shopping experience is also much more pleasant. We use Lowes Foods to Go often and have found it to be a huge time saver!

Generally a nice place to visit. Occasionally some of the younger employees will act like kids such as the last time I was there and an employee jumped line because "I dont have long on my break man". I started out in a Food Lion at 16 and never skipped lines even with a 20 minute lunch, plan ahead better and dont piss off your customers. That place is too costly to have service inferior to Food Lion and Aldis...

Service here is not very good. Occasionally get a good cashier. Dont go self-check... never works and for some reason whoever is supposed to be over there never covers their station so you stand and wait, wait, wait... Good craft beer selection, gourmet cheeses, wines. Prices are a little bit on higher side in some areas, but pretty average for a grocery store. Newer store, relatively clean. Good selection.

Prices are always on the high end, but they do have a very large selection of just about everything. Whenever they make deals or bargains—like buying 5 cases of soda for x dollars—they drastically raise the price of the individual product to trick you into thinking that youre getting a good deal. Most of the cashiers are nice, but its evident that they hate being there. Its just dreary in there.

I can honestly say I have never been to a normal, chain grocery store that has had a more impressive fresh seafood/fish display. Everything always looks awesome and you can tell the employees take a lot of pride in their work. I make a point to compliment them whenever I can. But yeah...fresh seafood/fish...great quality...great display...great employees. Keep up the good work! =)

Customer service is bad when it comes to sending western union, Im a regular customer at lowes. Whenever I go to send money through western union and the one whos at the customer service desk doesnt know how to help me do the transaction they tell me, oh the system is down! Are you serious? They may need to train more people when they put them on the customer service desk.

My wife and I recently moved from Florida, and were sad to see Publix not as prevalent here in NC; however, we have grown to love Lowes Food. The store environment is very inviting, and clean. There have great selections in every department. Whether you are looking for fresh custom sasages, custom cakes, or draft beer, they have just about everything you could need.
