SIR TJ Pigsworth
Me and my wife went in to this whole foods today to get some lunch. We are both Vegans, I have to maintain a Vegan diet As I am death allergic to dairy, amongst several other allergies. As a vegan you know their are not a lot of choices. Well today I was very excited to see a vegan Mediterranean crunch salad that At first looked extremely appetizing and delicious I proceeded to get some from the food bar for me and my wife to have for lunch as my wife came back over to me she asked what I had gotten from the food bar. I opened the brown container that I had filled up she looked at it and noticed it was full of feta cheese I said no way they wouldnt put feta cheese in a vegan salad and label it as vegan. it just didnt make sense My wife made me pull it out of the container and pointed out that it was feta cheese when we asked the person working the food bar they said yes it is feta cheese when we explained that the sign said vegan we wanted to know why their was feta cheese in it. The worker stated that they couldnt find the tag to go with the salad so they just used that one. It didnt seem like they had any intentions of changing the sign or removing the food so we then proceeded to find a store team leader. When we found the store team lead he didnt even give us his name another employee told us we spoke with "Geoffrey Garbaccio" who was very cocky and arrogant, we informed him of the situation and what was going on he replied with OK Ill get to it then walked off over to a going away party for one of their employees and acted as though we never said anything. We decided to walk around the store to see if there was anything else we can eat for lunch 20 minutes later we walked by the food bar again and it was still sitting there. More than half of the tray was empty which means that several other people who assumed that this was vegan had eaten this salad. It wasnt until an hour later after we spoke with the deli manager that they finally removed it. I cannot believe that we had to speak with three different employees including the store team lead and another manager before they finally removed this food. This store is absolutely deplorable they do not care about their customers health or well-being.

The Charlottesville Whole Foods does NOT live up to the companys reputation of offering the highest quality natural and organic products. Whole Foods has a standard scoring system (1-5) that corresponds to the level of "Animal Welfare" that the animals experienced before they became... err.. Whole Foods meat products. One being the lowest, five the highest. Look it up on the Whole Foods website. The Charlottesville Whole Foods does not carry chicken above a level 2. Heres what that means: "Animals are provided with enrichments that encourage behavior thats natural to them — like a bale of straw for chickens to peck at, a bowling ball for pigs to shove around, or a sturdy object for cattle to rub against." Only at Level 3 do the animals have access to outdoor areas. The cville store also carries plenty of Level 1 beef, which corresponds to the welfare experienced by any animal at a factory farm. This Whole Foods offers a significant amount of produce that is either genetically modified OR has been exposed to pesticides. This would be anything that is not marketed as "organic." People should shop elsewhere if they are concerned about what they are eating. This store sells low quality unnatural and inorganic products at extortionate prices. If you are the owner of this store, please start carrying more organic produce and meat that is at least a Level 4 on your companys Animal Welfare scale.

i live close and my fiancee and i love shopping here. whole foods CAN be expensive, but we pay close attention to prices and find that by careful shopping we get higher quality foods at the same price as other stores. we often buy our whole-foods brand staples by the case for the 10% discount. with savvy shopping we avoid preservatives and receive competitive pricing. it is also so nice to go shopping in a place where the employees seem genuinely happy to work there. everyone is so friendly. we even had an employee insist on calling the manufacturer of one item to determine the exact ingredient in a product when we inquired about it. if you shop smart, this is such a nice place to buy groceries and you feel like part of the community!

Whole Foods will only become Whole Paycheck if you dont practice safe grocery shopping: 1. Dont shop while tired or hungry. If necessary, get a small plate of WF prepared food first. 2.Check out the specials for the week or day before leaving home. 3. Go with a list - preferably pre-printed w/ all the basics + any bargains from the WF coupon page. 4. Be prepared to change your list if you find unexpected sales. 5. Get your basics elsewhere, saving Whole Foods for their organic and/or house brand specialties. Whole Foods is a real treasure. If you live on a budget, its a treasure to be treated with care.

Ive been to about 12 Whole foods locations across the country and this one is the only one where you have to get your water from a water fountain outside the bathroom. Really? - Cmon, how about supplying the patrons with a water station - its seems like a minimum service measure that would provide alot of customer satisfaction - the other locations "get it" so whats the hold-up here? This is also the most crowded location Ive visited and has inadequate parking spaces. Cville has exploded with population and the local stores along 29 dont seem to be equipped to handle it.

Weigh all bulk food items and write the weight down before you go to the checkout here. Many common mistakes at checkout....example...5 ounces of beans entered as 0.5 lbs, wrong number of cans or number of items, wrong numbers on other items (5 rolls instead of 3)....you do pay dearly in the long run. This is beautiful store, but everyone is always in a horrible hurry. Wish they could come up with a fresh seafood day once a week during the warm season!

If youre looking for a place that doesnt have hybrid fruit and vegetables this not the place, all their fruits and vegetables are seedless mechanically grown, how can you have organic fruits and vegetables thats been grown in a lab...One star for me and any others whos really into their health and fitness, big chain stores usually cut corners to make money and really dont know the true meaning of wholefoods, your better off going to the farmers market

Whole Foods Market kenne ich aus Kalifornien und hatte dort immer gute Erfahrungen gemacht. Hier haben mich die frischen Salate, Gemüse und sonstigen Gerichte nur bedingt überzeugt.

Well done. Grocery store. Good selection of organic pork, beef, sustainable fish, and poultry, eggs, and. Dairy products. Excellent produce with great selection and quality. The price are reasonable, but slightly high at times. Excellent selection of beer, and wine. The staff at all the Whole Foods are excellent and very helpful.
