posted on FB 10/3/2016. LOWES, if this is true, you are a despicable employer. Im sure an attorney in the area will pick up this case Pro Bono. DO NOT FIRE THIS YOUNG MAN. Hilary Farr 1 hr · The boys picture you see is of Paul, the brother of, Elaine Harrison, my beloved and trusted make-up artist. We have worked together for 2 years now and although I havent met her brother Paul I feel I know him. In those 24 months I have learned how much he loves his job. How much he loves animals and how much he loves his family. So yes, I have a soft spot for him personally. I also have a soft spot for anyone who vulnerability is exploited or abused. Below is Elaines cry of pain and anger and hope that she is heard and her brother can be protected from from what is happening to him. From ELAINE: My brother Paul has cerebral palsy. He is 41 years old. He is handicapped. He has worked at Lowes, one store on Strickland road in Raleigh, for 15 years! Now, due likely to their cooperate expansion, he is being threatened with termination for, get this, not efficiently cutting fruit. His dominate hand is his right hand which he is unable to use due to his disability, he does the best that he can, and does very very well. All of a sudden after 15 years with no issues hes been written up 5 times in a week. This smells of corporate bullshit! On top of that they are trying to intimidate him into quitting his long time very needed job. My brothers job is everything to him, it keeps him going, inspired and busy! Bullying a handicapped person? Really LOWES? Im outraged and absolutely disgusted by this behaviour. They refuse to speak to me or any of my brothers family. We have formally requested to be in the meetings with him so that all communication is clear for both parties, but they continue to sneak attack him with meetings, leaving us in the dark. They have had formal meetings with him and refused him representation which is HIS RIGHT BY LAW; not to mention he is handicapped so the likelihood he understands fully what they are saying is pretty slim! Im not sure how I will proceed but know I will let this happen over my dead body! Elaine Harrison

This Lowes is a typical suburban grocery store that leans to the upscale. Besides convenience, the thing I like the most about the grocery store is that its always a pleasant shopping experience. Its isnt so crowded that you feel like youre going to be run over with a shopping cart. The atmosphere is calm. The cashiers and managers are pleasant. Whenever I have questions or need help, I get assistance pretty quickly. They have nice fruits and vegetables and emphasize produce from "local" farms. Ive been known to pick up some of their prepared foods which are pretty tasty. I like their meat and fish selections too. Their prices are a little higher than some of the other grocery stores. However, the company is a North Carolina company and they are trying to support North Carolina businesses. I like to support that as often as I can.

I came in here to get a couple things and had the worst experience with the worker at the customer service desk. I came in to get a money order and the when I asked the worker she said I could only get one with cash but didnt offer to give me money back so then I had to ask her if I could get money back then she rudely said yes but you have to buy something so I did. Then when I asked her for the money order she said it would cost me 95 cents but I could only pay cash so I had to buy something AGAIN and get cash back AGAIN. So after I she gave me the money order she walked away didnt say thank you or do you need anything else. Worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life! Will not shop here again.

Tired of bagging own groceries with kids in tow. Something has changed at this Lowes location, management? I have overheard managers talking to employees about cutting hours while in the checkout and it is clearly leading to everyone bagging their own groceries, I mean everyone. If you wait on the clerk (not their fault) to bag the lines back up. People walk by including the manager and watch women, grandparents etc doing their own bagging. You cant keep track of your bill while bagging. I have never minded doing this on occasion during busy hours but its every time.

I love this store, I wish I still lived close enough to frequent it. They have updated the whole front of the store with a single entry/exit and put seasonal and sale merchandise right in your view. The produce is fresh and I always saw someone there in that section looking after the merchandise. Selection is typical of a supermarket with a very good bakery (I love the apple turnovers!!!).

Good prices, bad food. We went on a Sunday. We saw moldy packets of sliced cheese hanging in the coolers. We bought milk, sausage, and ground beef. It turns out the milk we bought Sunday had expired Saturday. The ground beef went gray after a day in our fridge. We returned the milk, sausage, and ground beef. We wont be going there again.

The store is OK. I feel it is a bit junky. Front end supervisor or whatever she was annoyed with me because I needed help on the express check out. Was over sitting down with security, then called security over to watch me because I asked if I was bothering her. I will not return to this store. Never liked it anyway.

Nice store. Beer prices are higher than local gas station convenience stores. Example: Hoppyum IPA 9.99, its 9.69 at Handy Hugos. If you are trying to focus on beer consumers (beer den, fill your glass and go shopping), then you should show some value in your offerings. For me there is no reason to go to Lowes.

Good store before remodel, fantastic after. Great produce and products. Sausage works is continually taken advantage of. Beer den is great and the fact that you can enjoy while you shop is great. Foods to go service customer for going on 20 years. Its another example of how great this store is.

This Lowes has a great beer selection and overall is in line with the offerings youd expect from an upscale suburban grocery store. My two favorite things about this location have been the friendly staff and the store isnt super crowded like the nearby Whole Foods.

My go to store for organic groceries and meats/deli/seafood. Great workers in the fish/meat/deli area. Seafood is especially fresh - only had one issue in 8 years. Food Lion - not so much. I never wait more than 5 minutes to check out. New bakery is fabulous!

Wouldnt be able to how it was because I called before I went and the phone was never answered. ....rang at least 20 times just for someone to pick up and hang up....called back, same thing. Oh well, guess they didnt want my business

Lady running the meat shop is awesome! Store management terrible, usually standing around talking among themselves while long lines and departments struggle to serve customers. I got fed up and will only come here for meats now!

Fancy. A little pricey. Its a different kind of grocery experience. They have this weird animatronic chicken in the ceiling that talks and sings. Its in the chicken kitchen. But the fruit and veggies are fresh and good quality.
