I thought I had left a review back when I had this experience with the store, but it looks like I didnt. I purchased a Siberia husky here 3 years ago. Just short of her 1 year birthday she was diagnosed with hereditary cataracts in both eyes. According to the manager of the store at the time( and the paperwork I was given at the time of purchase), if any kind of hereditary disease was discovered within the first year the cost of the dog would be returned. I contacted the manager about it she took a copy of the vet records and said shed get back to me within a week. She gave me a business card and wrote on the back her name, and that shed call in a week. 2 weeks goes by without hearing from her so I returned to the store. I stood by the counter in view of two employees who were busy stocking a Halloween display. I waited for them to come and greet me and offer assistance, they looked at me but said nothing and made no move to come to the counter. Finally I approached them and asked for the manager. I was told she wasnt there. I explained why I was there, asked for a copy of the guarantee and left. The next day the manager called and was exceptionally rude accusing me of acting threatening towards the employee I had spoken to the day before. She claimed she had said a month not a week and berated me for harassing her employee (not true at all, I may have acted irritated because of the poor customer service, or frustrated because i was begining to feel i was getting the run around, but I was not rude, threatening or harrassing). After the call I went into the store to get her new assessment of a month in writing, as well as record our conversation to prevent any further accusations or lies on her part as well as document everything in case the issue needed to be settled in court. She was unapologetic for her accusations. I continued to get the run around from them for the next 6-8 weeks. She claimed that their guarantee was actually the breeders guarantee and they needed to get their money from the breeder before I could get my money from them. I persisted that that was not what the guarantee said and finally was successful in getting refunded. This is a very shady company that seems to try to get out of their promises by changing their story as needed or accusing customers of wrong doing. If you have made the mistake of doing business with them and are in a similar situation as I was, document EVERYTHING. Hopefully theyll finally do the right thing but be prepared to take it to the bbb or court.

There isn’t a better place out there to buy a puppy and that’s a fact!!! My puppy and my family are living proof!!!Not only did I get a happy, well socialized, and healthy puppy but I also talked to the breeder of my puppy because he was delivering her right as we walked in. He knew everything about her personality and even what her favorite toy was (which we bought) and he was right about everything he said about her. There is just no way he would have known what he did about her if he hadn’t spent a lot of time with her and I’m positive no bad or puppy mill breeder could have given us the information he did. I know puppy mills are the hot topic and I had always said I would never buy a puppy from a pet store but after going to this store there was no question this was where I would buy my puppy. I have a daughter with disabilities and didn’t want to adopt because of her and my 3 other small children. I wanted the history on my puppy for my kids’ safety sake. I searched high and low for a soft coated wheaten terrier breeder I liked in Colorado and could not find one and didn’t want my new puppy shipped and there are just too many online scams on puppies. My neighbor recommended this store so I decided to check it out. So after three trips to this very clean and great store I put a deposit on a wheaten terrier that was arriving in two weeks. Every time I went into this store I can say I have not seen better cared for, loved, and healthy puppies as I did here. And I waited several months after my purchase to write this review to see of any problems arose and there are none. This store has great puppies, they use great breeders, and they are true to their word. I know many say if you buy from a pet store you buy from a puppy mill well this store is the exception and I highly recommend you see for yourself you will not be disappointed. We love Sasha and she is a perfect fit into our family. Thank you Pet Ranch you made 4 small children and 2 adults very happy.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE. We bought an adorable bassett hound last week...fell in love...he was training very nicely. The first disturbing issue was puppy didnt know how to walk very well. They never let them out of their cages to exercise and strengthen their muscles for cordination. We had to rehab him to walk on solid ground. He gagged and yacked off and on but we didnt think anything of it because we thought he was being a puppy eating grass/sniffing dirt ect..but when our older 2 dachsunds began coughing, gagging and coughing up junk too we realized the puppy had kennel cough and our other dogs contracted it from him. We were not able to get into their designated vet and were referred to an after hours emergency vet clinic because puppy started to decline. Vet said he had kennel cough resulting in Pnuemonia 80% of his lungs were filled. He didnt make it :( We only had him fo 9 days and our hearts were ripped from our chests when we lost him. The pet ranch didnt disclose his health condition when we bought him and when we confronted the owner, she didnt care and was very rude to us. She called the police because we demanded our money back and vet bills paid. Yes, they offer a free vet visit within 7 days but when you cant get into them what can you do?! Please please please, purchase your next pet with your head and not your heart. This place is way over priced even "on sale" tax return sales..blah blah blah. Ask for the vet visit paperwork (we were refused it) before you buy along with the vaccine documentation. Let puppy walk around because im sure the non exercise will have an impact on bones/joints later on as they grown. In addition to our disturbing experience, my father said he bought a fish in 2007 from here and it had disease and killed his entire fish tank. Clearly this place has issues and we intend to pursue Justice.

To answer the person who reviewed after me... No I am not an employee, and they did not ask me to write a positive review. Perhaps you should avoid judging another persons opinion before replying in your own insulting way. I will keep supporting positive local businesses above corporate juggernauts. Its truly a shame that people write such scathing reviews of small local businesses when they truly have done nothing wrong. I have visited the Pet Ranch on multiple occasions, and even after mentioning that I am not currently in the market for a puppy, they are still very courteous. I bring my 3-year-old daughter in the store to see how she interacts with the animals, and to educate myself on the breeds that I will one day be interested in. Even when the store is busy, the workers have always taken time to answer my questions, see when the next shipment will come, and discuss products for the dog I have now. I always see the employees brushing, and caring for the animals. Puppies are kept in open cages, instead of behind glass, where only one family at a time can use the play area with an animal. I am glad to see that the animals are being kept where adults and children can pet them, and give them attention. It is sad when a family pet becomes ill or has medical problems, but this is usually no fault to the pet store. Many animals are susceptible to different problems, regardless of the breeder. This is where homework needs to be done before purchasing an animal. This is part of bringing a living thing into your life. I just spent $1600 for my dog to get surgery. Not fun, but I still love my dog, and know that it is a problem that is common in his breed. My daughter loves to visit the store, and I will continue to give support to great local businesses.
