I had a daith piercing done by Shane in June. He was very nice and professional. When I told him I was doing it to help my migraines (had been told this by another migraine suffer that it could help), he got on the internet to see if there was an exact/specific place to do the piercing v.s. his usual placement (he has been doing them for MANY years). He was gentle and quick with the piercing. The pain was minimal and I was able to sleep on my ear from day 1. There was very little bleeding and was done within a week. I have been very happy with the piercing and get many compliments on the piercing and earring. Since having the piercing my migraines no longer migrate to that side of the head. I will eventually go back and get the other ear pierced. Maybe then they will be gone or at least restricted to the top of my head alone! Thank you Shane!!! :)

Do not make an appointment with them! I scheduled mine two months early for me and my sister to get tattoos - they made me pay a larger deposit since it was so far in advance. We showed up and the artist wasnt there. No one contacted us to cancel or reschedule, nor did another artist volunteer to step in. We went to another location that was great; however, Wingnut would not refund my deposit - the owner claimed he would look into it and call me back... never did, and three days later I called, they still hadnt. Horrible customer service... If they had given me my deposit back, it would have been fine. In the end, Ive been able to redirect my friends getting tattoos to this other spot (The Inkwell), and taken away more business from Wingnut than my lost deposit. I will continue to warn people about this shady business...

My family went into the shop last night - 2/11/17. My mom wanted to repierce her cartilage on her ear. They were kind of busy, but everyone had been helped and were waiting. The guy who helped us was rude, not welcoming and acted like he didnt have time for us. We stood and waited for about 10 min and in this time we heard a tattoo artist tell a client that they were only half way done with an arm tattoo and it was crooked. He said sorry, but also mentioned he didnt know how to fix the tattoo. With them not being friendly and then hearing that, we were not confident that they would do a good job. I would not recommend this place, there is other tattoo shops that are more accommodating and make you feel comfortable.

My husband and I got a tattoo here by John. This is not or first tattoo done by John and wont be our last we followed him to Wingnut from Happily Ever After in Harris. John does an awesome job and he really cares about you as a customer and the tattoo process from the start to the end. I also got my lip pierced by Paxton who did a great job by helping me through the process from picking out the jewelry to getting it done. This is our first time at Wingnut and the expierence was awesome. Everyone is really friendly, funny, and there is a great energy there. Everyone is also very professional and take their art seriously. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking to get a tattoo or piercing.

I went into the anoka wingnut for my nose piercing alittle over two years ago and to this day their jewelry is still strong and good quality metal, no mark on my nose like other metals and no infections. When I went in on my 18th birthday and I had no appointment they got me in right away, the place is clean and they sterilize the area after they finish with you. The jewelry costs more, but you are paying for good quality so its worth it. I was afraid cause I hate needles, but it was so quick I felt no pain, Shane did a fantastic job and he was funny which lightened my fear of needles. I would definitely recommend them to anyone they are professional in everything.

Worst experience ever! If I could zero stars I would. I went in to buy a small nose stud for my nose piercing and there was confusion with the gauge of the hoop I already had in. The piercer brought me in the back room and I thought he was going to take a look at my nose hoop and show me what he had for studs. Next thing I know he is taking out my hoop and shoving a new one in! It was the wrong gauge and it hurt and I told him I didnt like it and that it was the wrong size and he said "too bad its already in your body so you have to buy it." Forty dollars later Im left with a nose ring in the wrong gauge and not even the one I was looking at. NEVER GOING BACK!!!

Ive been hearing that this place is shady. But heres what I think first of all I got my nose peirced here two years ago. My nose never got infected, they gave me really easy cleaning supplies and the guy who did it was awesome . Second of all I got my first tatto there, inside an appointment in June for October my deposit was 100 bucks. Thats it?! I got my tattoo done by Darryl, he was so calm and sweet and tried to make me giggle and would make jokes about spelling it wrong ( because I was afraid of that) . I love my piercing and my tattoo I really want more, but only from wignut

My experience was a pleasant one , first off I found the shop to be very clean . I was a walk in last Saturday night and there was a gentleman cleaning and sanitizing and when I came back for my appointment on Monday when they opened the doors the same gentleman was cleaning and sanitizing. It smelled like an operating room. I like that. The artist that did my tattoo ,Daniel , was very friendly and personable. I love my new tattoo . And will be back to Wingnut.tattoo in the future. And would highly recommend this shop. Yvette

Apparently calling in and conferming the artist received the emails of your tattoo ideas means youre rescheduling the appointment. Went in on the date I believed the appoitment was still on for after eagerly waiting a month, only to be told after sitting in the waiting room for 45 minutes that there was a miss communication by Joe on the phone and there was an appointment booked then in my place. I got my supposedly non refundable diposit back and got the heck out of there. 50 minutes to Anoka, and 50 minutes back for nothing. What a disappointment.

Have gotten two piercings done by Paxton now and I must say it was an extremely positive experience; his answers to my questions made me feel very relieved and his professionalism made the piercings practically pain-free (they are piercings after all haha). Wingnut has great advice and info on aftercare and jewelry suggestions so that you can be free of infections and they really make you feel comfortable and welcomed. I highly recommend getting any and all of your piercings done here, I couldnt imagine going to a different shop!
