I went to get a home made tattoo of a cross made into a rose back in 1979/80 at mikes tatoo shop on Calder. I was 16 YEAR OLD AND HAD TO HAVE A NOTE FROM MY MOM. LOL. Drove to my friends to come with me. A JEHOVAH WITNESSES CAME TO THE DOOR .MY GIRLFRIEND LET HER IN AND THE J. W. LADY DROVE US TO TATOOSHOP. I COULDNT BELIEVE THIS WAS HAPPENING. But OK go with it. WHEN we WENT IN MIKE WAS MORE INTERESTED IN TALKING TO THE J. W . Lady then my tatoo. So he had John do it. John had just started. I had no clue. He put a rose over the cross instead of using the cross as a stem and leaves. It ended up dark but not bad for a new guy. Plus covering up dark blue. He put a star and a L that looked like the L on Lavern and shirley show. I was at the mall years later and a lady noticed my tattoo(on my arm) and said John did your tatoo. I told her the story and she said "we use to let him practice on people back then". What? I was an under age female getting a cover up on My Arm. Am I the only one that thinks thats nuts? Anyway I had music notes put around it at chucks in the 90s. I never knew what happen to john til tonight. I was at waffle house in vidor and saw a guy I thought I knew. The lady told me who he was. I still didnt put it together til I read a review about the star. So john if you remember a blonde you covered up a cross on back in mikes tattoo shops days and a blonde at waffle house about 3am in vidor. 8/2/16 That was me. . Sabrina. idk what all these other comments are talking about but this place is trash. it looks very unsanitary Im pretty sure weve all had the same needles put to our skin. he puts a star within the tattoo so people knows he did it, the color fades and mine blistered up and got infected that night. his lines arent straight if you really look at them and is gun is homemade I wouldnt recommend this place to my worse enemy

I went and got a nose piercing and he did not pierce where I said too. I went back to get it repierced (free of charge) I wasnt gonna pay anyway because this second go round it was like he was angry that I didnt like it so he smushed the ring into my nose .. so its tighter than it was at first . If youre looking for a piercing paying extra is so worth it . Go to spirit house !

I received bad quality ink and a bad botched tattoo. Think twice!!! And the sentence you see saying good price for good tattoo on reviews..they also took my review and posted the first sentenc because it sounded good but didnt include the rest of the review. I was told a good price for a good tattoo and instead got bad bad job with bad quality ink.

Omg never go! Not even if its the last shop on earth i got matching tattoos with my cousin and they look totally different, foolishly i went back to get my nipples pierced and my left nipple ring is crooked and not pierced deep enough so its sitting right underneath my thin layer of skin. Basically dont waste your money cause John sucks!
