My husband & I decided we wanted to purchase a new sofa & loveseat for our living room. As we do not own a car, we did some research to find a cluster of furniture stores in one area, so we would be able to see/try out as much as possible in one bus trip. While the location wasnt the easiest for us to get to (requiring a 1+ mile walk from the nearest public transit stop), we were rewarded for our efforts. We first stopped at another furniture store, and while we liked a few of their offerings, we didnt really find anything that was exactly what we wanted. Our second stop was The Furniture Shack. We entered with low expectations due to the appearance from the outside (a warehouse-type feel). But we quickly started noticing all of the little details that the owners have added to make the space feel more homey. Upon entering, we were immediately approached by one of the owners, who, after hearing what we were looking for, pointed us in the right direction. We indicated we were going to take our time and sit on every piece of furniture, and I was thankful that we were then left alone to do just that. Someone would check on us every now and then, but overall we were given space to do our thing. Once we found something we liked, we inquired about delivery and were told it could be done (by a contracted company) the following day. We made our purchase, with no pressure to buy anything else. One of the owners even drove us back to a more central location so we wouldnt have to walk so far in the heat. My husband & I dont like to shop, and rarely purchase anything new, so we expected this to be a painful experience. As it turned out, I would definitely recommend The Furniture Shack to anyone in the market for new furniture.

I always feel so weird furniture and mattress shopping. Either the sales people are pushy or act as if you just interrupted their evening meal. Ugh. But, having moved across the country and leaving my furniture behind, I kind of needed to do this. The camping chairs and air mattress were just not going to work for me long term. I was greeted right away. Brett asked me what I was looking for. I told him the two different colors I was looking for in sofas. He pointed out my options and then let me look around for awhile. I meandered back to the mattresses-my least favorite. Ive had such back luck in the past purchasing mattresses. I had a slight idea what I was looking for. He gave me two options, but pointed out the one that I would most likely prefer based on my request. I ended up picking the mattress he recommended and went back to the sofas. The color I wanted was not on the floor, but he had one in stock and let me look at it to get the full effect. Perfection. I bought a sofa and love seat with fabric protector, the box spring and mattress and it all came in for less than what I had priced for the mattress set alone at other places. But wait, theres more! He asked if I wanted it delivered. (Im thinking like a week or something.) It was less than 24 hours. Seriously. And the delivery guys were there on the dot. I love my mattress, I love my living room furniture. Everything is solid and good quality. The couple that owns this place are fantastic, easy to work with, and very kind and personable. Im hoping to purchase a house in the near future, and if I do and need more furniture, I will be returning to see my options again. Wonderful experience that has changed my mind about furniture shopping!

Good salesmanship, not the best customer service. I went in on the 6th, picked out a sofa. Brett told me to go home and measure before buying which seemed nice - not pushy with sales or anything. I called a few hours later to tell them that I will be buying the sofa and to check if its still in stock (it was earlier), was told that theyd check and would call me back. ...never got a call back. Whatever, Ill just go in the next day and buy it. So I do so, but they sold the one from the prior day and the next shipment will arrive on the 25th, and was told it was guaranteed to be delivered to me then and that theyd call with a dropoff time. I call on the 24th since I hadnt heard anything and was told that it was delayed again and that it would come sometime between the 26th and 29th and that theyd definitely call. I was going to stay home from work and nobody even bothered to alert me that it was delayed from my "guaranteed" date? Pretty unprofessional. I wait 2 days and inquire again, now being told that it would actually be delivered on the 31st, again not being alerted about the delay. I get that it is (maybe) just a week late but its bad service to not even warn a customer of the delays and have me wait around. I didnt buy the sofa here to have to wait an unplanned 3.5 weeks. I would, however, recommended this business for their fair prices. Just be wary of the delivery time...

My partner and I had been thinking about getting new bedroom furniture for a few months, but were hesitant to go into a big furniture store where we would be bombarded and stalked by salespeople so we put it off until we couldnt deal with our old, terrible bed anymore. I googled as many stores as I could and saw that Furniture Shack seemed to have very reasonable prices as well as shining reviews, so it was our first stop when we finally went shopping. Brett greeted us immediately when we walked in and asked if there was something specific we were looking for. He then showed where to look and explained the pricing system to us and let us look around on our own until we were ready to ask him any questions. We loved that nobody pressured us to buy things we didnt want or need, and though we had originally thought we might get only a bed, we ended up with an entire bedroom set because the price was fantastic and the financing options made the purchase realistic for us. Brett and Dee are so warm and welcoming and knowledgable and we will definitely return to their store when we are ready to buy more furniture in the future. We could not recommend this company and the owners enthusiastically enough.

After going to a few furniture stores during the day, we decided to try The Furniture Shack to see their selection. We were a bit unhappy with the very strong-arm type of service wed received at those previous stops. We were pleasantly surprised and very appreciative of the help we got from Felicia at The Shack. The way she told us the necessary info and then let us take our own time figuring out what we liked was awesone. She said it was her fourth day working there but it really didnt seem like it. Felicia was highly knowledgeable about their products and services. It was a breath of fresh air. All of the products there were nice and unique in certain ways too. We love the styles and decor options they have. The pricing is very fair especially after comparing a lot of things online and in other stores. Our couch was delivered this morning through a great delivery company. It was a haul getting the couch up three flights of stairs and taking our old ones out, but they handled it well and without issue. Thank you for a great start to our new place. We will be back there definitively because of all that I mentioned. From three happy campers. ☺
