Do NOT shop here! Dirty, run down, costly and prices often do not scan correctly (how nice for Jewel)! I stopped going 12-months after moving to the St. Charles area. I had several very negative experiences with the staff, mostly high school kids, some older, grumpier types. No smiles, no assistance at self checkout, rude, snobby and childish. Most act as if helping out is a burden or an annoyance. In addition, the fruits and vegetables are horrid; poor selection; throw-away quality. Stay away; shop Blue Goose or JO on Randall!

In general I go grocery shopping at Jewel and the food has always been fine. The review is more this specific Jewel, for whatever reason, never has what I am looking for. Either the layout is different and I cant ever find anything on my list or they just dont have what Im looking for. It is an older Jewel so maybe that plays into it, but I never leave with everything I need from this particular location.

I shop here frequently and have found it it be an overall good experience. This is not the case however when I attempt to get service from the deli/hot foods counter. Here there seems a disdain for the customer that I have felt from more than one employee there. I do not plan to use the deli here again and most likely will shop at this Jewel less because of this one department.

Terrible!! Lady behind deli section came over to me and my wife and asked us if we took a roll off the cart!!!!! We said yes!!! She said she needed it back....because it was not for sale like that..and took it out of our shopping cart!!! Never in my life seen someone cry about a roll maybe 50cents!!!

They never have enough staff on or managers for over 21 purchases. The express line is torture and a quick run in and out takes 20-30 min standing in line. Dont get me started on the deli counter. Sloths are faster than they are. Jewel St. Charles youve gone down hill big time.

My Osco Pharmacy I use on all occasions on Larkin Ave in Elgin, IL always go above and beyond to help me with my prescriptions. If they do not have at their store they call other stores until found. They are all absolutely the best.

We have been shopping at Jewel/Oscoda since 1977, its The best grocery store in Chicago land, though they have gone through many ups and downs and many changes, plus their bakery very good.

Items sometimes difficult to find, no offer of help, boy at deli could not have moved slower, prices are higher than other markets. I dont normally shop at Jewel. I cant recommend it.
