Well, after being a loyal customer for 6 years, Im afraid well be looking for another place to take our pets for grooming and food. We spend an average of $250 per month on food and groom for our two dogs and cat. I estimate I have spent somewhere between $15k and $18k in the last 6 years doing business with PetSmart. I called both their corporate headquarters in Phoenix and spoke briefly with one of the store managers today regarding my dissatisfaction in service. I know their having problems with staffing and so its too bad they simply cant get their act together. Those of you who have dropped off your pets for grooming know how chaotic that experience can be. Setting up appointments from a 3-ring binder is how we use to work 10-15 years ago. I was told they are trying to set up a "new" appointment system that was suppose to be rolled out in January 2015. Well, here it is 4 months later and still no progress. The poor ladies who do the grooming should never have to be the same person who schedules appointments. I feel sorry for the mess they have to deal with...and, by the way, rates for grooming went up a few months ago for weekend appointments and, of course, the customers got no notification of this change. And dont even get me started on the Banfield Pet Clinic experience. NEVER GO HERE! Big mistake on my part for choosing to go here. Mark my words....something has got to change or this store will be closing in Gresham. The customer should always come first!!!!

Can you put a negative star up to click? I cant rate the grooming experience because there isnt a choice low enough. I dont what those junior groomers did to my Corgi but she ran into the house and straight upstairs and wont come down. Not for a treat, to eat or drink any water. I can tell you what they didnt do .... over half of what I paid for. I chose the FURminator "a premium treatment to remove excess hair and reduce shedding"... you can pet her and clumps ... not a little bit of hair but CLUMPS come out in my hand. Suppose to include brushing of teeth ... yet dared to write down "recommend having her teeth cleaned", they did a half jack job on her nails and did not take care of the glands. I have 5 dogs and will NEVER take another one of my pups to that grooming place. As a matter of fact, I just cancelled the appt I had on Monday and threw my petsmart card in the trash. Im one that usually doesnt waste my time on reviews unless I have come across an excellent service to recommend and this is my first to take the time to do a negative review. When it comes to trusting others with the take care of my animals, I expect professionalism and the employees to care about the job theyre doing. If the teenagers working there dont love animals and dont know how to work with animals (which is quite obvious), heres a suggestion...hire some adults to oversee these youngsters or even better, hire some adults that know what theyre doing.

Had my coton de tulear pro groomed for the first time. They cut her short as I asked and didnt try to talk me into anything more traditional for the breed as other groomers have done. I dont know if three hours is a normal length of time but thats what they estimated and were right on that time which was very convenient. My girl has never acted shy to anybody but didnt seem comfortable with the groomer that greeted us. A different groomer was assigned to care for her so I went through with it. When the groomer, Meagan, who worked with my dog carried her out she looked comfortable in her arms. They rounded the corner and my Cherub was beautiful, bowed and thrilled to see me. I will go back but will probably always as for Meagan and if Cherub seems scared when I take her in we wont stay. P.S. No signs of injury anywhere on my dog. Also staff in the store were very helpful.

DR. JESSICA THOMPSON is the real deal. We brought our cat, Gino, to the vet thinking we were going to have to put him down. He was on his last leg and wasnt keeping anything down. This was our last hope. Now, Gino is getting better by the day thanks to Dr. Thompson at Gresham Banfield. She saved his life and mended our family. We are truly grateful for her. SHE LISTENED intently and showed care during our time of need. Not only that but she gave us her EMAIL ADDRESS so we could contact her with any questions (which we have and she always responds promptly) AND CALLED to check up the next day. This is the thoroughness I expect from someone who truly loves animals. We will always go straight to Dr. Jessica Thompson from now on as she is surely the authority when it comes to helping animals! Sincerely, Adam and Julie Lundbom and.... Gino, Frankie, DeNiro and Brando too!

Ive taken my dog here for her grooming at least 4 times . Usually everything was great the groomer did a great job. This time when I dropped her off the lady told me about a product called Hydrosurge. I told her my dog tends to be alergic to alot of things, and that I would stick to what is usually used. She informed me that this was ment for dogs with alergies, leaves their hair soft, helps them from itching. So I said ok. Im very upset, because my dog ended up being very alergic to Hydrosurge. She turned all red and got welts all over her body she was real bad. Ended up taking her to a vet the next day getting medicine. So what should have been a 69 dollar haircut ended up being 190.00 dollars. And my dog is still miserable 3 days later.

The dog groomer showed up late and before saying anything to my dog she just came at him with a rope to tie around his neck. He barked at her because she hadnt even said a word to him, pet him, let him smell her, nothing!! After his 1 bark she said oh we cant groom him. I thought she was kidding!! She literally said after that one bark he cant be groomed. She made zero effort to build any kind of trust with him. Then asked if I wanted to try and reschedule!??! Yea right, Ill find a place that makes things a little more personal for their customers. It should be zero stars.
