THEY LIE, STEAL, CHEAT, & DECEIT... I picked my car (2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek) up from here yesterday (Friday afternoon) after leaving it for two-days of repairs. My very new/two-week old car had unfortunately encountered some highway debris resulting in cosmetic damage to the left/drivers side. After paying and being ensured of the "lifetime warranty," I gave my vehicle a thorough inspection on site. I observed that the left/drivers side rear was missing the small front-side mudflap. The undamaged right/passenger side had the mudflap in place, which I used as a basis for comparison. The new XV Crosstrek that was parked inside the showroom area on site had the mudflaps correctly in place on both sides. I immediately made the staff (Isaac Badbinton) aware of my observation, as well as pointing out the proper mudflaps on the new showroom vehicle. He responded, "Oh I saw that piece on Erics (Alfaro, the Collision Coordinator assigned to my work order) desk. He mustve ordered it later and was going to tell you about it on Monday. It will take five minutes to put on. Just come back next week and well do it while you wait." Isaacs statement was a complete lie. Eric called on Monday and explained that he had overlooked the part. Had I not noticed the piece missing, they would have just let me drive away with a partially repaired car to never know the truth about the missing piece. I had paid for full repairs, as was outlined in the estimate, and didnt - shouldnt - expect anything less! One can only wonder how many other misled customers were not so lucky, and had driven off with partially repaired vehicles unbeknownst to them. BONUS FAIL: Two items were STOLEN from my car: the 3M EZPass interlocking tape that was waiting for me to mount my EzPass with, and a pair of Kenneth Cole sunglasses. That tape is free if you email EzPass. Those sunglasses may not be all that expensive, but they are certainly not up for grabs. So not only did this excuse of a business fail to complete the repairs as ordered and paid for, they also stole from me!!! After speaking with the manager, Gary Huss, I got an earful of excuses - "the theft happened where we took the car for the tire alignment, my staff is not like that," "Isacc probably just made an assumption," "Eric is normally very thorough," etc. My car was in your care, custody, and control; Isaac blantantly lied to my face; and Eric clearly needs more training in car assessment. Just own up to it, please. Now I have to make an additional trip for the part that should have been done from the get-go. Regarding my actual repairs and discounting the deceit, they didnt even do a good job. My bumpers had to be replaced - the material came in raw and they painted them on-site (have a paint booth). My vehicle has plastic cladding so the paint job involved masking - the lines are dirty and not straight. The clear coat overlaps the undercoat in some areas. Luckily my car is black, who knows if the color would have been successfully matched if it wasnt!

My Mom passed away several years ago and left me her 2003 Suzuki Aerio. When I inherited the car, I immediately remembered the one thing she and Dad told me most often, "take care of the car and the car will take care of you." Now most people with a 10-year-old car would be thinking immediately about trading it in for a newer model, however, I decided to hold on to it not only for memorable reasons but because she had adhered to her own philosophy on car maintenance, the car was in pretty good shape. Instead of using other reputable auto service centers, I chose to take Moms car to Fitzgeralds Wheaton Suzuki Center. From break replacement including routers and boots to general maintenance, Ive found their service to be friendly, professional and trustworthy. Its something to be said about taking your car to a dealer for service that for me, though you may pay a bit more, you cant beat the quality, trust and reliability. So my message to Paul (General Manager), Sean and all the talented mechanics at Fitzgerald Auto Mall - Wheaton Suzuki is, "Thank you for helping me to maintain Moms car!" Looking forward to the next 10 years! Best, Kellye and Terrye

I have been bringing my 3 cars to Fitz/Wheaton for servicing about 10 years. The prices are fair, the work is excellent, the staff is great, and they have the cars ready when promised in the evenings. On those rare occasions when the car is not ready, they call me to let me know. AND they extend the loaner/rental to the next day. They always keep me informed of what work is required then and what should be monitored until next time. There is never any "upselling". They even checked out one of my cars and told me that barring anything catastrophic, the car (2005, with 130k miles) should last another 6-12 months. My dad told me when you find a mechanic you can trust, stay with them. Thats why I keep coming back!

They will charge you a arm and a leg for car repairs you can get done at half the price if not less. Needed to replace wheel bearings and struts as well as getting a alignment done and they wanted to charge me $2400 for all that work. At first I went to a mechanic my dad uses and he quoted me $1600 ($800 less than what Fitzmall quoted) but luckily I ended up getting hooked up with a great mechanic who I was so fortunate to meet who completed the repairs for $870 (a whopping $1,530 less than what Fitzmall wanted!) and I havent had one issue since! Checkout this great mechanic (Lennys Auto in Windsor Mill MD) unless you like getting your wallet raped that is or have loads of money to blow on car repairs.

Went to the Wheaton branch. They didnt tell me there may be a wait. I waited for two hours to get my oil changed. I have a diesel volkswagen. They then told me they didnt have the oil for it. They also didnt know how much oil went into the car. They could have looked at the manual as soon as I told them it was a diesel and let me know if they had that oil. Instead, they didnt even touch the car and two hours later told me they didnt have the oil they cracked open their special manual on cars two hours later. I ask for you to be the judge of this behavior. I will not be going to this branch again. Im afraid of their level of incompetence.

I recently had an awesome experience at Fitzgerald auto mall in Wheaton Md, my sales person Carlington was exceptional in helping me purchase a used gmc pick up truck from them, the manager was outstanding in helping me with my trade in and the finance gentleman was very efficient and accommodating in helping me get the best finance rate and to also purchase the extended warranty. This is the 2nd vehicle I have purchased from them and Fitzgerald has always been very pleasant to deal with and they make car buying easy and enjoyable. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a high quality used vehicle.

James Shuler is the man to meet at Fitz Auto Mall in Wheaton. He gave me all the details about the car I was interested in without trying to upsell or BS me. Not to mention they gave me a great deal! He is as honest and caring a salesman as they come. If you go to Fitz make sure you ask for James!!! Best buying experience Ive had yet.
