UPDATE: 2/8/13 - the bed is holding up fine so far. The particle board sliding storage shelves under bed havent come apart. And it still looks great. So Im updating the rating now. Hopefully the parts that are MDF will last for a while. -- Bought a East Village Queen Panel Storage Bed recently from Smyrna Georgia branch and heres what I have to say... Piece of crap. I looked around at several furniture stores and bought this bed because I wanted a "Solid" Wood platform bed with drawers underneith. I asked the sales person twice if it was "Solid" wood (as I knew many beds I looked at other places were not) which she replied yes its all "Solid" wood. Apparently even the clearly defined term "Solid Wood" now has any meaning you want, because when I brought it home took it out of the box the next week I could clearly see most pieces I took out were made of Particle board wrapped in a veneer. This was exactly what I wanted to avoid all along since I know from experience particle board is crap and your lucky to get 5 years out particle furniture without getting lots of nicks and/or other serious damage. When I tried to assemble the bed a couple of joint pieces were removed for some reason, so I tried to screw them back in only to realize they were left off because the screw holes were stripped already. I was told by sales the bed had a lifetime warranty on defects of the bed. This was clearly a defect to me. So I called the store to return the bed, only to find out a return could only be done within "7" days of the purchase. Thats right only 7 days. Ive never heard of such a short return policy. I talked to the manager who would only keep reiterating I could not return it, but they could have a service technician come out and try to fix it or replace defected parts. After explaining the whole story to him and how the genesis of my compliant is really that I was lied to about the product, I realized I was not going to get anywhere. So now Im stuck with a piece of junk that they will try to repair. But heres the thing. The defective joints that screw in to hold these very heavy pieces of pho wood together are just way too small for the job. And so Im stuck with a poorly built product that maybe they can band-aid together and most definitely will later break again. So bottom line is I would be very cautious about buying anything from ASF. And make sure you inspect and return a bad product immediately since they have a ridiculously short 7 day return policy. All that being said, to give them the benifit of the doubt, I have bought a book case and desk from them which I was happy with at a branch thats now been closed. So maybe the store is in dire straights from the recession and really coming apart at the seams.

THE AMERICAN SIGNATURE FURNITURE LOCATED ON CAMP CREEK HAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER SEEN IN QUITE SOME TIME. NOT TO MENTION THE QUALITY OF THE BED I ORDERED WAS PURE GARBAGE. I HAD TO CHOOSE ANOTHER BEDROOM SET BECAUSE THE ONE I INITIALLY PURCHASED FELL APART. THE STORE MANAGER, BOBBY SHOULD BE FIRED FROM BEING THE STORE/SHIFT MANAGER. HE MADE FALSE PROMISES AND FAILED TO CONTACT ME REGARDING THE CHANGE IN MY WARRANTY AND DELIVERY AFTER I PAID CASH FOR MY BED. THIS WAS A TOTAL INCONVENIENCE FOR ME AND RESULTED IN ME MISSING HOURS FROM WORK. I HAD TO CALL SEVERAL TIMES TO GET A DELIVERY DATE. HE FAILED TO MAKE ME FEEL COMFORTABLE AFTER I MADE A COMPLAINT ABOUT THE FIRST DEFECTED BED THAT WAS DELIVERED TO ME. HE DOESNT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMERS SATISFACTION, IN FACT I DONT BELIEVE HE WANTS TO WORK FOR AMERICAN SIGNATURE FURNITURE. IN ADDITION TO BOBBYS POOR MANAGEMENT & CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS, THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS WAS UNPROFESSIONAL AND USED PROFANITY NUMEROUS TIMES. THIS IS HIGHLY UNACCEPTABLE, ESPECIALLY IF A CUSTOMER IS SPENDING THEIR HARD EARNED MONEY. THERE WERE A FEW NICE SALES REPS, INCLUDING MY SALES REP, BUT HE LACKED KNOWLEDGE OF THE FIRST BED I ORDERED, RESULTED IN A DEFECTED BED AND DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER, ME! THIS EXPERIENCE WAS HORRIBLE AND I WILL NOT RECOMMEND AMERICAN SIGNATURE FURNITURE TO ANYONE, ESPECIALLY IF THE CURRENT MANAGEMENT AND STAFF IS STILL PRESENT. I AM IN PUBLIC RELATIONS, AMERICAN SIGNATURE FURNITURE GETS A 0 OUT OF 10 AND I WILL LET EVERYONE KNOW. SINCERELY, FRUSTRATED AND DISAPPOINTED

I wish to thank Claudia for posting her review of AS and Dee Dee Jenkins. We had looked around at another AS store and, after thinking it over, selected the furnishings we wanted. Since the closest AS store is nearly a 1 hour drive from our home, & based upon Claudias review, we called this store and asked for Dee Dee. She was attentive and wonderful to deal with. We bought a living room set, ottomans, and home theatre seating (which, btw, is the best value out there). She explained the process, delivery, and our options. Heres where it gets better: We were looking for a particular ottoman that was no longer in stock at ANY AS locations. We lamented this to her and she said she would try to find one. Lo and behold several hours later she called and found the EXACT one that we could not find ANYWHERE. Wow! But wait, theres more: So all the items arrive in less than a week, smoothly, seamlessly. A few days later my wife shows me a handwritten thank you card from Dee Dee that arrived in the mail, thanking us for our patronage. We have bought from far more expensive (Arhaus, Ethan Allen) stores and did not receive nearly the service or attention we had with Dee Dee. Super job. AMERICAN SIGNATURE and Corporate America are you listening?! PROMOTE THIS WOMAN. In a world where good service is the exception, we just wanted to thank Dee Dee for her superlative efforts and fantastic experience.

I will Never ever ever buy furniture from American signature again. This store will waste your time and money! The Camp Creek store is absolutely horrible !!! After recently having major health issues and scheduling my entire day around a drop off time they suggested, I received the worst customer service Ive ever experienced in my life. I have been rescheduled for the fourth time and nobody calls to say they arent coming they just dont show up! Ive had to return a sofa twice, received a broken lamp returned it, and for the past month and a half they have been charging me for it. I am still waiting to receive a replacement. You know its BAD when you have $3600 to spend in he store and you cant spend it because the customer service is so damn bad. The manager and the whole store needs to be freaking fired!!!!

DO NOT BUY THE UNITERS WARRANTY from American Signature Furniture .....It is a TOTAL SCAM. American Signature furniture is cahoots with this lowlife company and I would not doubt they are getting kickbacks for preying on customers. When I called the Southlake Location & spoke to MITCH for money back he said he cant refund the warranty and Uniters denied my claim. I had you in mind to buy furniture in the very near future but it was divinely meant for me to find this out today. Well played, 2 of a kind Lowlife thieves! I cant wait for you to go belly up and you will because people are not going to stand to be ripped off. Your gig will be up very soon!
