I dont have much experience with the main restaurant but I live in town and shop at the market which is my go to place for local last minute groceries and produce, but why have I never, until today, eaten in the back restaurant?! I walked over on a whim from the laundromat for some dinner and it was awesome!!! I got a big plate of pollo asado (basically rotisserie chicken) rice, beans, salad with avocado and tortillas which it looked like they were making fresh in the back. Everyone was super friendly in the back and the food was great. This was a nice option if you want a more low key meal. I am totally eating there more often.

I dont know if anyone can understand how special La Tapatia has made my family feel. From the first time we walked in to La Tapatia to tonight which is maybe the 50th time they have always treated us like family. Not to mention the AMAZING food. Every time we eat here is better than the last amazing time. I cant say enough beautiful or wonderful things about the prowl and food

Revision: This place was okay until they started to over charge. For beeing the place it is, in the back of a grocery and meat shop, they can not charge like a restaurant. Its just not right. Besides that, its still convenient. Place its very convenient. Market, liquor store and fast restaurant at the same place. Food is delicious at a great price.

Convenient location for groceries and liquor, open until 10pm. Best feature is the Mexican food counter at back of store that makes their own tortillas fresh daily. Also has locally grown produce. Helps if you know Spanish but not a requirement.

Local crowd, great margaritas, very good food, and reasonably priced. Parking is on the street, and it can get dicey looking for a spot. Go early.
