This is a low-key Persian cafe inside the Super Irvine supermarket. They serve the same food as almost every kabob house in Orange County - kabobs, Persian stews, several types of rice, kookoo sabzi, tachin, ash reshteh, etc. Everything except the kabobs are reheated and displayed on the steam table for customers to pick and choose from. If you order a meat dish, you can be guaranteed that the meat comes from the butcher on the supermarket side. I ordered one of the specialty rices that was running low, and the owner was kind enough to tell the chef to make me a small batch from scratch. The chef was dispatched to the meat shop, where he picked up some beef. He assembled all the other ingredients and cooked the rice dish fresh on the grill. Unlike at the Persian restaurant next door (Caspian), the stews and rice here did not appear to be cooked very greasy. For once, my order of beef koobideh was not super dry and overcooked! In addition, Super Irvine provided the proper Persian herb plate including fresh mint, radish, and onions, even for to-go orders, which was nice to eat alongside the main course and helped with digestion. No other OC Persian restaurant supplied this to me, not even the fine dine places like Hatam or Darya. Why would I ever order take out again at Caspian next door when I can get the same thing from Super Irvine Cafe at 1/2 price?

I recently discovered the new Arias supermarket in Tustin and love it, but since I live in Irvine I thought Id check out the Irvine store since I had a few minutes to spare before my haircut appointment. I went in and out of the store in about 5 minutes, checking out the produce and other grocery isles, mainly for prices and variety. I went back to my car because my intention was not to buy, but to observe. I was followed by the manager who asked me if I bought anything. I said no, I only came to check out your store. He said the camera showed me putting something in my purse. THE NERVE! I invited him to check my purse to prove I had not taken anything. He at that point turned around and started walking away--without a single word of apology. I returned the favor by telling him I wont be back. Id rather drive to Tustin!!!!! BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. You just lost a valuable customer, mister! Once I told my husband about it, hes ready to go back to TALK TO FRIGHTEN this manager!

Great product , produce people very nice and very helpful on anything you need. Henry - one of the workers there is very nice and shows you everything and gives you taste on anything that involves fruit and veggies. thats what i think a store should be like. I would personally go back to this store, everything is very clean and prices are very cheap. 100% recommend it.

Came here for the first time for our Friday night family dinner and I must say it is by far the best Persian food that I have had in Orange County. All four of us agree that we are going to be going to eat here every week! We all ordered koobideh and chicken shish kabob. The koobideh came out cooked perfectly. The chicken was VERY juicy.

Local grocery market that has fresh produce and very cheap. You can find all kinds of herbs and spices and very trust worthy if you are worried about big industrial grown fruits/veggies. Also, if it is your first time, go to the back and order a sangack bread, very delicious.

For a average grocery store, there are great ingredients, good selection, and low prices. I like organic selection on greens and roots, but the selection of organic is minimal in that area otherwise theyd get a 5 star review.

The quality of meat, and chicken here is amazing. Top notch deli, also their bulk feta cheese is very good. Fruit quality is a bit lowet than normal. But fresh bread is out of this world
