This place use to be decent... However it is getting worse and worse to the point that tonight I have decided not to spend another penny in this store. Here are the list of issues: 1. quality of the produce: You better check closely when you buy and eat the fruit and vegetable right away. The fresh produces are not really fresh, they are usually very old and lowest quality, 2. Other products (rice, beans, dry vegetables) are also extremely old. last few times that I bought rice or dry vegetables, I found Moth and unfortunately did not find it early enough. 3. The food court (specifically Persian food): The quality has been dropping for years. f you know Persian food, you would know that the taste and quality is the lowest. On top of that, tonight I noticed that the size of the stew have been cut to half with the same price... At this point, I would not go there anymore, and as a matter of fact do not want to waste my time for any thing related to wholesome choice...even this review.

While this is a great grocery store, its more than that. Wholesome Choice also has an extensive selection of ethnic foods; italian, persian, kosher, latin, Asian etc. The produce section is the largest and most comprehensive Ive seen! The butcher is in house, and they carry a large selection of meat, including Kosher, Halal selections, lamb, goat, and other hard to find selections. The bulk dry good selections are plentiful, and include exotic grains and nuts, salts, peppers, and dried fruits. While this is a grocery market, they also have several delis and mini restaurants to choose from if youre in the mood for something already prepared. I highly recommend the chicken marinated in yogurt, saffron rice, and Ceviche! The bakery is phenomenal! Besides the cakes one would expect, they have a mile of showcases full of petite fours, pastries, Turkish Delight, breads, and persian, italian, french sweats and many ethnic specialties Ive never seen!

I was there in the store on Saturday August 5, 2017 and has very bad experience regarding their customer service. I had few items, one of the item was at display bin for 2lbs/$1, at register when cashier rang it for $1.49/lb. I told her it is not correct price, she called her supervisor standing nearby for price check, when I told her what is the price displayed on the bin, she said rudely that I doubt it. When I said why dont you come with me and Ill show you, again very rudely she said, "I am busy" and told cashier to change the price. No customer service ethics. Another thing; the customer in front of me was charged twice for the same item, customer had lot of stuff and did not pay attention about the same item being charged her twice. I was looking at the cash register monitor. I used to go to this store more often,I noticed that most of their employees have left the store and working at another super market. Something must be wrong.

I like visiting the Wholesome Choice in Irvine, so I thought I would be happy coming here. I have to say, I was a little disappointed. The food court was somewhat lacking. I came specifically to try the Chomp Chomp Nation restaurant. The restaurant owner was off on lunch (or something -- he left no sign) for a good 20 minutes. The eating area was somewhat cramped, compared to the Irvine location. The "water dispensing area" was a bunch of gallons of bottled water sitting on a table that you could pour for yourself. Food court issues aside, the restroom was not exactly in the best kept of states -- no towels in the dispenser. Regarding the produce, I found some good passion fruit; mangoes were on sale, but they were not ripe or sweet. I probably wont be stopping in again unless I happen to be traveling to the Inland Empire and need some halal meat (although, it should be noted that not all their meat is halal).

Cashier named Sarah is so rude! I think she is the owner the way she acts!!! Very disappointed! We are about to pay suddenly when my husband noticed they forgot to gave us one of our order, I asked her if we can wait, coz they forgot the fish that we also ordered along with the foods, she was like "I cannot wait because theres a lot of customer waiting which is just 2, which is actually okay with me too if she said that like in a very nice way, but no she was rolling her eyes, like she was insulting me infront of two more customers waiting in line.. I mean thank you for the information but it wasnt our fault that they forgot to give the right order! Please hire people who is happy and knows how to give a good customer service!

One of my favorite groceries stores. Has so many more options that other local stores dont have. I believe it is geared towards ethic food lovers. Mostly has various Indian, Israeli, Asian and Arabic foods. I have also noticed some different flavors of the common food stuffs that you see all around but you wont ever find such flavors. Also has an amazing food court but on the pricey side. But all of the exotic ingredients are being sold there anyway. Overall prices are on the lower side so thats good. They have daily fresh arabic breads section and frequent discounts too.

Very disappointed with this store!! I went to buy oxtails this morning because they advertised oxtail $3.99/Lb for Fri April 15 only, and the butcher told me that the "fresh oxtails" were not on sale!!!! He pointed me to the packaged meat section and said, "only those were on sale" Well there were only two pkgs there, and they were frozen and obviously NOT fresh!!! They were gross! Who knows how old those oxtails were!!! Now i know why every time we used to buy meat there, it was tough!! That is the last time I go to Wholesome Choice in AH!

I dont get to eat Persian food often because Im a bachelor and too busy to cook, so the prepared food is perfect to take home. I get the visit to the store being among my own countrymen and women, get home style inexpensive meals and I feel sorry for the review of Nice Sauce person or whateve, who has to bring her racist ignorance and critiquing the place based on the race of the employees. She needs to live under a rock if shes so hateful towards other people who have the right to be here.

The bad: The produce is terrible...it never lasts more than a day or two before rotting. Most of the green/leafy herbs like cilantro and parsley are full of weeds. Never buy produce here. The slightly disappointing: They must have hired a different alcohol buyer...the beer selection is worse than a gas station. The good: They have a lot of hard-to-find things that you cant get in a typical grocery and those items usually have a good price.

Ethnic Super Store - great food court with lots of halal options and a deli and bakery (mostly desserts and sangak) that rival any (couldnt find any baguette) but the prepackaged meats have almost no halal options for cold cuts and its hard to find a someone with a smile on their face that works there .. very weird. If I could ask for anything it would be more halal or kosher options when it comes to the meats (prepackaged)
