The first day we went there, the boss gave a good show. Sure, theyve got a lot of appliances. The story was quite different the second day (once he had our money). Bought an appliance and experience was bearable (notwithstanding bad language, smoking, dumpy place. Watch for dog poop on the warehouse floor.). Of course I have to wonder why the warehouse is so full of appliances. How can they pay rent/property tax/salaries? Cant expect them to stay in business long. The appliance ended up not fitting in its slot in the house (measure every dimension!), so we had to take it back later in the week. Called them & they were fine with it. Took it back & business owner saw a large dent which was on the appliance when we bought it (we assumed the appliances to be used/dented/seconds - didnt think much of the dent when we bought it. Try to find an appliance without a dent there - bet you cant.). He made a big deal that the dent "wasnt there when you took it the other day."(lie) He called a kid over who "works" there who (of course) said "no, boss. It wasnt there when we had it."(lie) $$$$$ We repeatedly contradicted them. Told them the dent WAS there when we got it. We wouldnt lie about that. Were not trying to cheat anyone (even if he was). We just expect folks to respect us if they want us to respect them. Thats part of the problem today. Why cant a mans word be his bond nowadays? Why? Do your part. We want to be able to trust people. Fortunately there were two of us & two of them (the most "workers" I saw there at a time are three). We played their game tough and seriously were ready to go home with the appliance and take our business elsewhere. We told them "fine, well just not do business with you again" (which, I dont think we will). We persisted that the dent WAS there when we bought it. So, I think that playing tough worked for us. The owner let us get an appliance (about the same price) that is the right size - hopefully isnt a lemon. Moral of the story: Definitely take at least one other person with you. DONT GO ALONE. If you tend to be timid, Id suggest not even going there. Take one or two tough friends with you who will back you up (especially if you have to return something). HAGGLE, talk down the price. Better yet........dont go there. Find a respectable used appliance dealer to do business with. The Golden Rule is still good for today: Everything that you would have men do to you, do you also the same to them (Mt 7:12)

Oh. My. God. DO NOT GO HERE! To those of you who say how great it is he takes your "scrap" for "only a $10 dump fee," guess what? He DOESNT DUMP it, he SELLS it! We bought a "brand new, never used" mini fridge from Don for $200. (Same price as new, too, weve checked). We asked him repeatedly if it was used, he said no, and had all the new warranty papers for us to back it up. We bought it. It worked 4 or 5 days. We called to return it on warranty, and he was so verbally ABUSIVE that I hung up. He was there, and open, yet demanded an "appt." to return it, then refused to make one, yelling at me "What did I just TELL you?!!!" when I asked when we could come. He said wed just have to keep calling back and get lucky. RUDE doesnt do the man justice. Hes ABUSIVE and obnoxious, and sadistic. My husband has called twice more to return it, and the answer is always "no" not now. The CLINCHER: We had mailed in the warranty, so we thought we could just have it fixed by Frigidaire, and called them. They told me that warranty had already been USED to replace a fridge sold at Lowes back in 07! That unit had broken down TWO YEARS ago, and been replaced on warranty already. The warranty was no good. The one we had was sold to Don as "scrap," because the unit is "not repairable" due to it being "an enclosed unit." We were LIED to and RIPPED OFF. Joshua (probably a buddy of Dons), just wait til you need your warranty! Its FAKE! You may think the prices are good, but youre getting someone elses old problem with used up warranties. Don is a fraud and a liar, on top of the abuse. Were going to "7 on Your Side," the BBB, and any other consumer agency we can.

I called this establishment to schedule an appliance repair for a tenant of mine with a problematic refrigerator. An older sounding man answered the phone who was very gruff over the phone. Every time I tried to speak he shushed me, saying he was with a customer. Finally, after many interruptions, I scheduled an appointment; but when I indicated I would be paying with a credit card, he said he didnt like to take credit cards over the phone and would only accept a check. At that point I said I was going to call someone else, which I did. The next day I was surprised when his son called to say he was ready to go the tenants house. He said that they would accept a credit card. A part was ordered, the repair completed with a reasonable charge. The son was very pleasant to deal with. But, when the father called to take the CC number, he was so rude, complaining about how it costs him so much more to submit a credit card. He was so disagreeable he made me feel like I had ripped him off instead of giving him my service business. I ended the call by hanging up on him. I will never call them again for anything.

SO I called Dons to schedule an appointment to see some refrigerators. I was scared that I was going to get yelled at because I read the reviews...But he was nice. I went over there, looked around, he gave me prices and we chatted a bit. He even gave my son a Popsicle. wow what a jerk! ha-ha. well I left empty handed ONLY because I still needed to decide what I really wanted. After looking at different appliance places I decided to go back to Dons. He was very patient while I was deciding what I wanted, even with my antsy kids. I picked out the one I wanted, he loaded it, showed us how to unload it, although he makes it look easy :) lol (I guess it is for him.) Over all he is a nice guy (with really cute Boston terrier puppies) who doesnt have time for lowballers trying to get stuff next to nothing. His prices are already low and the best part..he gives a warranty. I would defiantly be a returning customer. And for all of you saying he is rude and mean.. you are probably a Yuppie from Rincon valley who should probably be shopping at Lowes where the customer is always right…even when you are an idiot!
