For absolutely the best supermarket experience, go to this store. The products are excellent, but the reason I love this place is the atmosphere. It is a beautiful store. Wonderful lighting and decor. Soothing music. Colorful displays of flowers and produce. Complimentary coffee. The store is arranged in small food and wine boutiques, as if you were shopping in Europe with all specialty areas under one roof. All stores in this small chain are nice, but the Winston-Salem location is the most attractive Ive seen. I feel like Im taking a mini vacation each time I shop there! Most of the people who work there are knowledgable and friendly. Many are top-notch. I mostly shop the sale items. I also buy most of my cold cuts and rotisserie chicken items there. Berries are often very well priced. The cored pineapple is also the best Ive found in town. This is also a good place to buy food, candy, and coffee gift items. You will be hard pressed to find a more pleasant grocery store to shop in anywhere in the country!

I used to like this store but this remodel is a nightmare. It turned into a crammed overprice average grocery store when it used to be an enjoyable gourmet grocer. They aisles are so close together you can barely get through. The shelves are so tall you feel claustrophobic. It looks like they made room for average brands you can find anywhere and got rid of specialty items I can only find there. The weekly deals are a great idea but most of the time they ring up wrong or they are out of the advertised items and need to substitute. Its frustrating to be in line and have to look up with the prices should be at the register. They also have good meat sales but the line to get anything from behind the counter is always so long. This place has become so sad.

Best place for higher quality foods, youll pay more of course, but for certain dietary preferences (organic vegetables/fruits, grass fed meats, gluten free, etc) or hard to find ingredients (particularly spices) and those into culinary/foodie culture this is the place to go. It is a suitable local alternative to Whole Foods or Trader Joes. Its not a typical grocery mega store and I find its a good go to for specific or special items, maybe not your regular weekly shopping or supplementary shopping for items you cant find or cant find cheaper at other stores. Unless you shop for a small household or dont mind paying more for the convenience and quality.

I love Fresh Market, just not the one on Robinhood Road, I have made several complaints regarding the customer service and quality of food in the deli, and the manager was nice enough to respond to my emails. After the last incident I decided that I was not going back...however yesterday I decided to give it one more try, only to be disappointed. Went at 6:00pm, when lots of folks go to pick up dinner items. There were no fruit and nut salads which was specialty sale item. Lots of other salads but none of those...I give up...

Fresh Market, although some may find this an interesting store, when you are on a budget this is not the place to shop. A head of Iceberg lettuce $2.99 it was not made of Silver. Although, some of the items you purchase there cannot be purchased other places, it is not worth the time spent to look around. The store itself is clean, a bit tight when you have to use a scooter. Employees, well there is another story I will not get into. Check it out, you may like it.

I dont go there regularly due to limited selections for certain items, requiring a second stop for things like dog food, paper towels, toilet paper, etc. The parking lot is horrible, especially if you are driving a full size vehicle. They are great for certain things like the deli/prepared foods, difficult to find produce, unique ice cream, etc. I love shopping there at Christmas, as they have a great selection of old fashioned/traditional candies and goodies.

The staff are nice. But, because of the type of store it is. It attracts certain customers. Some of which are very snotty and inconsiderate towards the workers. The store is currently going through a remodel and product reset and being extremely short staffed on top of that makes it more chaotic. Screaming and demanding things at the staff like a child does not get you what you want any faster.

While I like the store over all, I have to say that the management has taken a turn for the worst in recent months. I witnessed one slovenly manager badgering and belittling an employee who she thought was not working fast enough. If they dont care enough about there employees to treat them respect I will shop elsewhere. I prefer Whole Foods anyway.

My boyfriend and I came in late Sunday with out a dinner plan. We decided to check out the deli area for ideas. We had such a nice experience at the butcher counter. The gentleman behind the counter was so kind and helpful. He offered ideas and drink pairings. His suggestions for dinner were great and his demeanor was wonderful.

coupled with great quality produce, meats & dry goods make for a superior marketplace. I will forego the greater variety of larger markets to receive excellent culinary tips from a competent staff and have access to a quality, select inventory, more often than not. An excellent stop to pad your pantry.

An upscale grocery store with decent selection of fruits, vegetables, and fresh meat. They can add more organic produce, especially apples. The conventional apples look like plastic, really that much wax ?? They dont go bad for a month because even yeast wont eat them.

I go to this store for fresh meat. No one can come close to the meat quality that they have got. I can feel the difference in the taste and the aroma of the chicken curry. even after 2 days the taste remains same, go natural non GMO food

The Fresh Market has a great selection of coffee and dry goods. The meats and fish selection is high quality and the bakery has a wonderful variety of frsh baked breads and desserts.

Great fresh foods. Go there for the veggies, fruits and meats. Their pastries and deli are also great. Customer service is great and the store smells fresh all year round.

Nothing seems very fresh about this fresh market. This one was dreary and the produce looked old and there were numerous gnats coming out of the grapes

They have lots of fresh products, the meet is always fresh and recently they introduced 4000 new products. We always shop there.
