My experience with Bettenhausen was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. My experience started when I submitted a request for pricing online and received a follow-up from Sonata within an hour of my request being made. She gave me excellent insight on car availability and worked hard to make sure I was aware of all the rebates that were available for the Grand Cherokee I was looking at. As a result of this, I was able to save a great deal thanks to a tremendous deal that Costco provides to Costco members, well worth it to get a Costco membership if you dont have one! I came into the dealership, and Sonata was currently assisting three other customers, so she cordially handed me off to the very capable Hamzeh who went absolutely above and beyond during the entire experience. I told Hamzeh the car I was interested in, and he had me test driving it within two minutes. I was trying to decide between a V8 engine and a V6 engine and Hamzeh did a tremendous job answering all my questions regarding the differences between the two vehicles. He also went to great lengths to show me the ins and outs of the car and all of the fancy bells and whistles it possessed as well as how to work pretty much everything. He happily answered every question I had and displayed knowledge that showed the high level of expertise he possessed. He has a true passion for the business, a trait you dont find very often in the car sales business. His excitement about the car got me excited, hes a true asset to the Bettenhausen team. Once we decided on the V8, Hamzeh went to great lengths to locate the specific model I was looking for as Bettenhausen did not have the color I was looking for available on the lot. He was able to locate one very quickly from another dealership and actually went out of his way to go pick it up himself so I could drive it home that night. This is a level of service that you just dont find very often. He had already worked a full day since 8am but was willing to stay until 7:30PM (hours after the store closed) to make sure he was there to hand me the car keys and set up my phone on UConnect. I cant say enough good things about him, and I really do hope the Bettenhausen team appreciates him as much as I did. Bottom line is that this dealership is the atypical place to buy a car, with excellent prices and excellent sales people who dont put pressure on you and make you feel uncomfortable. I will definitely be back to see Hamzeh for my next ride, and I will happily be telling all of my friends and family members to visit him the next time they need a new car.

The last week after seeing a 2016 hellcat online at there dealership I contacted them to inquire more about the car. The salesman I spoke to over the phone told me they dont charge anything over MSRP on the cars and no other dealer markup fees. So after running my credit they quoted me a lease price of approximately 710 a month for 36 months with XXXX down. So i immediately put a down payment on my credit card and agreed that everything was perfect with the price and being from NY ill come fly in to finish the paperwork and drive the car home on Thursday. With me putting the initial downpayment down on Saturday. On Monday I call the dealership back again looking to move forward with the rest of the transaction so I could just pick up the car and go. I ask them for a printout of the lease agreement just so everything could be straight. Four hours later I get a call back that miscalculated the tax wrong and my monthly payments would be in 1100-1200 Dollar a month range because in NY they have a usage tax. I then tell him that it is impossible because in NY state you just pay tax on the amount of your lease and its no way possible that the tax on the lease would be a extra $14,000.00 and then sent him a copy of my current lease from BMW and my parents current lease with Dodge that shows no usage tax . Long story short they stick to the story about this extra usage tax to cover up them marking the car up way over MSRP. I would not recomend a dealership that would do these bait and switch tactics.

So, many of the local dealerships have mechanics who are on strike, but Bettenhausen is the only location in the area where their mechanics are working. The thing is, I had a vent valve replaced at the Jack Phelans location a little over a month ago, it leaked and is therefore defective. The problem is, even though the part is under warranty, the workers at Jack Phelans in Countryside are on strike, so they cannot do the work. The Bettenhausen service advisor, however, told me that, while they can replace the part under the warranty, they would need to do another diagnostic, which I would need to pay for. It did not matter that another Chrysler dealership, plus an independent repair shop, already did diagnostic tests--one of which I already paid for. Even when Eliza from Jack Phelans took the time to call Bettenhausen, their service advisor STILL would not budge. And I need this work done so that I can pass my emissions test and get my registration renewed. Considering what is is going on with over 130 dealerships nearby without mechanics, you would think that Bettenhausen would use this as an opportunity to make an impression. Nope. They would rather be ignorant and capitalize on this massive strike. They care more about your money than they do about the customer bringing in the money. If your money grows on trees and you like being taken advantage of, go to Bettenhausen. Otherwise, take your business to a dealership that cares.

I stopped at this dealership on a cross country trip after buying a used Ram truck from the East Coast. I requested an oil change, fuel filter change (both), and tire rotation. During the check in process the service staff tried to push maintenance that even Ram doesnt recommend. They charged almost $400 for the fuel filter swaps which is actually $100 between the two filters and a 25 minute job. Had I not been traveling cross country I would have done it myself. After the wheel rotation the tech either forgot to put on one of the custom wheel center caps or broke it. When I got back to my in laws house I noticed it was missing and called the dealership. Eventually they agreed to buy me a new one. 50 days have now passed with numerous emails back and forth with each time the dealership claiming they are no longer made or cant be sourced. I then went online and purchased two with a 5 minute google search. Normally I would fight this on principal as after dropping nearly $1,000 at this dealership you would expect your truck to not come out worse off. Instead I have passed this story along to my wifes family that reside in Chicago, whom the majority are Ram or Chrysler owners. So congrats you lost the maintenance on 4 vehicles that used to use you because you were to cheap to correct a simple item you broke. This has been one of the worst customer service debacles Ive even been through over something so minor.
