Awful service. Michael Bonaventura, former manager at Mini Tinley Park, assured me emphatically, prior to me purchasing brand new 2013 Mini Cooper, that both Mini warranty and maintenance was available world-wide. He literally said that if I brought my car to Europe, it would be fully covered for both maintenance and warranty. Well, as a Canadian working in the US, this was a relief, because down the road I thought might be living back in Canada. Sure enough, when I brought my 2013 Mini into a dealership in Ajax, Canada, to get the first maintenance service, they said the maintenance would not be covered and the pre-paid contract would not be honoured. Only warranty would be honoured in Canada, but not maintenance. Both miniusa and Mini of Tinley Park have washed their hands of this matter. They point to their website which “clearly states their policy.” Unfortunately, both the former manager and sales people appear to not have read that policy. Both miniusa and Mini of Tinley Park have repeatedly apologized, but offer no remedy or compromise. So, the built in maintenance that comes with the price of the car is effectively null and void outside the USA. This is a matter of communication, and one could say that the onus is on the buyer to perform due diligence. I guess I am not used to being lied to so egregiously, and I foolishly took Michael’s word at face value. I have since spoken to Michael’s replacement, Pete. Pete also offered no solution beyond suggesting that I ask the Canadian dealership to get “comped” from miniusa. BMW simply does not give a crap about their brand, mini, being sullied by disingenuous dealers. If this was McDonalds fielding a complaint about one of their “restaurants,” one would imagine that headquarters would be interested in quality assurance. BMW on the other hand seems to not care if their employees were “spitting on the fries”, so to speak. Or, more accurately, they seek only to “document” any complaints or concerns. They will not even disclose what exactly they are documenting to me. So whether my concern is filed away into the blue bin or actually gets looked into, I will never know. Buyer beware! Sales people and management at Tinley Park are either incompetent or straight up liars – maybe both.

I probably should have stopped here first on my quest for a MINI and saved myself some time. Ive wanted one since they first hit these American shores in 2002. I had been to a previous dealer the week before and waited a good 10 minutes before anyone asked me if I had been helped. Even when I was helped, I had to ask for a test drive and was thrown some figures and basically told to have a nice day. Such was not the case at MINI of Tinley Park. As I pulled up, I could see they had a decent selection of MINIs to choose from. I walked in, albeit, a little apprehensive, and right away I was waited on by Jake. We talked about what I wanted and what I could fit in my budget. He took the time to fill out some sheets to better understand my needs, asked some questions, and found a car that best fit my requirements. The previous dealer didnt even bother. A few minutes later, Jake pulled up in a car that little did I know, Id be pulling into my own driveway a week later. He took the time to show me all the controls, explain a little about the mechanics, and basically told me to have some fun on the test drive. I was 99% sure I wanted a MINI, and after that test drive, I was 100% sure. Of course, part of getting a car is all the deal making. It was my first time doing so, and it took a week, but in the end Jake and MINI of Tinley Park worked with me and I am currently driving the car Ive always wanted- a MINI Cooper. The MINI sells itself, but I was really glad I came to MINI of Tinley Park. Jake was super helpful, and fun to deal with, and everyone else I came to encounter in leasing my car was very nice. Provided that MINI lives up to my expectations as a car, MINI of Tinley Park will be my next first stop when looking for a new car. I hate car shopping for all the obvious reasons, but Id highly recommend them if youre in the market for a MINI.

We arrived at the dealership at 4:30 PM on a Saturday (they close at 6) and zeroed in on the model we were looking for. Our salesman, Jake was very helpful and knowledgable about his product. After looking at several other used Mini Countryman models at other non-Mini dealers we were impressed by not only the selection but by awarness of what a Mini customer valued. The process was not rushed - even given that we had not made a finial decision until we were the only ones in the locked building after 6 besides a few dealership employees. In the end they offered a very fair price for a 2012 Mini Countryman 4WD that was a demo with only 5K miles on it. The closing staff was respectful and did not try to sell add-ons once they had described them to us - it was a good experience. Jake even mailed us back our garage door remote after we left it in our trade that night. We would certainly go back to the dealership and hopefully see Jake. The porter service closed the deal since we live in Indiana, Minis need to be serviced at a Mini dealer - I accept that fact and they make it easy to do so.with free scheduled service for 36K miles and a 50K warranty.

My wife and I were looking for a car for quite some time. We didnt know if we wanted a full-size car a midsize car or van or an SUV. As an educated consumer we did your research on dealerships that are in the area and we kept coming back to mini of Orland Park. And we kept seeing Kevin Notter name pop up in all of them and his reviews were great. We found a vehicle that fit our needs on Kevins website When we came in we were greeted by Kevin he made us feel very welcome and we had a good vibe. We did bring her daughter who is 16 months old with which we were unsure of doing as we have bought and several cars before and we know that it is a long drawn out process. After Kevin showing us the vehicle we got down the negotiations this was by far the easiest transaction that we have ever had. Kevin was able to work the numbers out to fit in our budget. Kevin showed us around the dealership and introduced us to several different members of the minis staff that were there. We cannot give any more than a five star but Kevin and Mini would get 100 stars if we could thanks Kevin and mini of Orland. You have a customer for life

WOW!!! WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!!! I WENT TO SURPRISE MY GIRLFRIEND WANTING TO SPORT HER WITH A BMW 369 CI SERIES CONVERTIBLE AND LEFT WITH AN AWESOME MINI COOPER CONVERTIBLE ALL THANKS TO THE MANAGER OF THE DEALERSHIP KEVIN!! People, I am one of those who does not like being chased around by the sharks at car dealerships, but Kevin delivers a personable experience, just like that long lost bestfriend that you had a few years back, and picked right back up on the same page you left off! He explained to me what the Mini has to offer, with their power train warranty, the certain specs, fully loaded options, maintenance, in-dealer care, and I couldnt pass it up! I love my girlfriend so dearly much after dating for 6 months, and I had to get her something nice yet safe for her and my wallet since her Altima was starting to see the end, and Kevin un.der.stood. She couldnt be more happier with the purchase!! Be careful guys, when you see a blondie sporting around in a candy blue cooper! you know she got it from Krazy Kevin!!
