Bought simple tropical fish here in their fish department that brought disease to my tank and completely wiped out my long-established tank with some strange ich that would not respond to any medications. When I told them they wiped out my tank, although they believed me, they refused to compensate for my large fish, only the little sick ones I brought back, because I didnt save my large ones bodies for them to see they said. They gave "store credit" for 50 dollars, much less than the value of my entire 50 gallon tank of fish that were bigger than anything they sell here. Bought an aquarium lid with that credit which turned out to be a big piece of junk with a melted stinking light holder and obvious brown melted plastic around it. Went to return that and because I had no receipt, the manager was intent on ripping me off by giving me 22 dollars of store credit rather than the 50 that the light cost originally. Dont buy new fish here -ever- if you have an established tank. If you have a brand new tank, no worries, just be prepared to save all your dead fish in your freezer and for Gods sake- save that receipt! Otherwise youll end up with pennies on the dollar! If anything at all! The fact that they say they care about animals is a money-making giant joke. Customers dont mean anything to them either!

I brought my dog in for a hair cut. Ok, not really actually I took him in for a rabies shot because they wouldn’t do anything for him without shot records Ok Fine, so he got the shots. So I made an appointment to bring him back for his hair cut (Finally) this is two weeks later so I dropped him off and the girl at the counter asked: "what kind of hair cut does he want?" I said; "Just shave him and leave his ears long but cut straight, She asked if I would like the teddy bear face? Sure I said sounds great. Right? Wrong when I was able to finally pick him up which was at least six hours later Danny was a little gun shy to say the least. His hair was short; his face resembled no teddy bear that I had ever seen. The gal told me he had hot spots and I should take him to the vet and we left. I brought Danny home and our son thought Danny looked like a transvestite not a teddy bear. We laughed about it a while then started looking a little closer at our dog and noticed that he has had all his nipples shaved off and was in considerable pain. It took several weeks for him to recover from his haircut. I hope if anyone reads this they check out who cuts their dogs hair. Check references and credentials because this is just very Lazy, unprofessional and inhumane. They should be put out of business!

My dogs have been going to the PetHotel at PetSmart in Tukwila ever since I moved here 3 years ago. My dogs had never been kenneled before as I always had family around to watch them. Naturally, I was very nervous about leaving them. Since finding the PetHotel, I ended up traveling several times a month for work. My dogs have always gone to the PetHotel, where they are spoiled and pampered beyond my imagination. The staff does a great job with my girls, and they are always glad to arrive. Even though I dont go as often since my job has changed, they still remember my dogs and give each of them special attention. The people who work there are truly what makes this such a great place to take the dogs. It is slightly out of the way for me as I live in Tacoma, but the proxmity to the airport is very nice. In addition, having the vet clinic on site came in extremely handy when my Border Collie became ill while I was out of the country and had no one who could come get her. I have found it to be a little bit pricier than other kennels, but the level of service is more than worth it. I appreciate the 24-hour care, and I never have to worry about my dogs, who are like children to me. I highly recommend the PetHotel in Tukwila for their amazing staff.

-The store itself is like any other Petsmart. I get greeted every time I enter. - Grooming: Terrible. I used it twice and gave up. First time they missed a few nails, choppy haircut, overall a poor job. The grooming area smells horrible. Second time with a different groomer was the last chance. Didnt empty out my dogs glands and I had to pay extra for our vet to do it in less than a week after grooming. Overall poor service and a waste of money. - Pet Hotel: First time was great. I left my dog for about 4 days (Oct 2016) and all was well. Second time I left him for another 4 days in April 2017 and he was so sick I had to take him to the vet and get antibiotics. It was so expensive. When I picked him up he had urine on his tail, paws, and bottom. Absolutely filthy and not himself. Tried for the third time last month. I left him for just one night and thankfully he wasnt sick. He was however, wet with urine on his paws and he look and smelled horrible from just less than 24 hours. Not Sure if theyre not cleaning up and neglecting the dogs. My dog never gets so dirty and sick at home. I cant seem to figure out what it is. Ive really wanted this place to workout but I am not sure Ill try it again.

Recommend coming to the grooming!! I came looking for a flea & tick shampoo because my pup would cry at night due to irratation and it was the 2nd day of owning a pup so I really aint no expert so I went in to the dog salon asking what they recommend for a pup. Jackie H took a look at my pup and she recommended since my pup is infested badly with fleasand she is old enough (8 weeks) she would bathe her with a certain type of shampoo with chemicals that will kill the fleas. She was great because not only she recommended on what shampoos not buy or use but she also advised us to deep clean our home a certain way to stop the cylce of the flea reproducing at our home so our pup would stop suffering. She also recommended for us to buy shampoo that has oatmeal for our LO for her coat so we wont damage her coat. I highly recommend coming this store, definitely coming again in a month! The down side is that we lost our new pup booklet of coupons so we are going to miss on the free exam & consultation for the vet.

STAY AWAY FROM THE GROOMING AREA . We brought our puppy in for the first time nail clipping, bath, comb - first of all the place was in a zoo-like state. All of the so-called groomers are obviously under trained (or not all trained) amateurs that could never make it in a real doggie grooming/day-care facility. We called on a Thursday to make the appointment and the person said be sure to bring your proof of rabbies vacine for the Saturday appointment. I explained that the puppy had just turned four months so he was just now able to get the vaccination and that I would take him to the vet the next day. We show up on Saturday for our appointment and then they tell us he has to wait 48 hours after being vaccinated. Would have been nice to tell us that before the 20-mile drive each way. But, based on the horror stories below, I suggest you avoid this place no matter what type of deal theyre trying to dish - they have to deal, they dont get any repeat customers.
