I had seen some of their videos online that peaked my interest. While I was out riding around yesterday, I decided to pop in and check out the place. I did find a motorcycle there that I liked a lot. I dont really like trading in my used stuff because I feel like I can get more by selling it outright, but it was the "end of the month" and I was told they could "make me a deal." Thats when things started to go downhill. Jeremy Shepard, the sales guy, was nice enough in the beginning, but then they start doing the old school full court press on you designed to intimidate and put pressure on you. Despite the fact that I was standing right in front of them, inquiring about what kind of deal we could make, Jeremy and his "boss" kept asking me the "if we can put the numbers together, is there anything to stop you from making a deal" question. I kept telling them that I was interested but the numbers had to be right and I would want to include my wife in the purchase because I dont just go out and make big purchases without getting her buy in. Well, I wasnt crossing their required level of commitment and thats when things started to get ugly. Jeremy wanted to send me off across town to drag my wife in to prove my committed-ness without telling me the details of the deal. I started getting uncomfortable and asked for the keys to my motorcycle back and he would not comply. They took my keys to check out my bike for trade-in purposes, but then instead of just giving them back, they kept them to keep the balance of power in their favor. I had to ask several times before Jeremy would finally return my keys. Jeremys boss and "the big boss" did finally did give me a number. To be fair, it was a decent deal they were offering, but I will never do business with these people. I no longer trust them. Instead of being the people that have the great bikes and great deals and are just there to help you through the process of purchasing, they resort to slimy, old school pressure tactics that earned car salesmen their reputation. When you go into a place like this, you dont "owe" them a commitment before they "go to all the trouble" of putting something together for you. Thats their job and just know if you give them your keys, they are going to hold them hostage until such a time that they are ready to give them back to you.

I recently purchased a motorcycle from American motorcycle trading company and I had a very good experience. I received a fair price for my trade-in and I was very happy with my new bike when I flew into town to pick up. My salesman Dave worked very hard to get me the best financing with the payment that I was comfortable with.Dave also picked me up at the airport and drove me to the shop. When I had an opportunity to get a closer look at the motorcycle that I purchased I noticed some water spots on the chrome and some rust on the receiver brackets for the upper luggage. I called my salesman Dave and he asked me to send him pictures. Within an hour of sending the pictures I was contacted by Blake the general manager. Blake instructed me to get prices for a detail for my chrome and to get a price to change and install new receiver brackets. I called Blake back an hour later and gave him the prices of the items in question. Blake agreed to pay me for the cost to replace or repair those items without question. When purchasing a used vehicle...the buyer must be diligent when inspecting the vehicle when picking up for the first time. This situation was a little different because...I pressured American motorcycle to get my bike ready as soon as possible. When I arrived at the shop to pick my bike up it was raining and I was in a hurry. The typical detailing of the bike was just overlooked and not intentional. Most dealerships would have said "to Bad you didnt notice sooner". But this shop did the "right thing" and that speaks highly of the credibility and ethics of the ownership and management of American Motorcycle Trading Company. Highly recommend!!!

PLEASE do not trust AMTC when they discuss financing options! DO NOT buy a used motorcycle from them! They will put on a great face to get you in the door & take your money, but when you have any issue that needs to be resolved after the purchase they will NOT HELP YOU! I purchased a motorcycle from American Motorcycle Trading company using their recommended Test Ride leasing program. I extensively discussed the program with the sales representative Matt and the general manager Bryan and feel that I was grossly misled. I was under the impression that the $1000 I put down on the bike would result in a lower amount being "financed" through the leasing program, when in fact I was charged close to $1000 in fees that were not disclosed up front. I was not informed that I was required to pay a $595 acquisition fee, the first months payment of $189, and a $200 deposit. I feel that when I specifically asked about the fees the company representative was obligated to explain all of them to me, not just the standard TTLR, $125 doc fee, and the $195 fee they charge to inspect the motorcycle. I was also told that there was no early payment penalty to buy the motorcycle, which is untrue - the "purchase fee" is $395. Whether you call it a penalty or a fee - its still a misrepresentation of the fact about which I specifically inquired. Ive also filed complaints with the BBB of Tarrant County.

I bought a Harley from this company through an Ebay auction. The bike was advertised as "had thoroughly gone through our 32 point inspection" and "ready for the open road".... When the bike arrived, it needed $1700 worth of work just to get it to pass state inspection: front tire, front brake pads that were so badly worn that they were falling off, no directionals, inoperable horn, brake lights, and all buttons missing on all handlebar controls. After my mechanic got to work on it, he found so much burnt out electrical wiring that it prompted an installation of an entirely new harness. After some haggling with the American Motorcycle Trading Co., they reimbursed me $600 to cover expenses, which was fine, but used profane language over the phone to both myself and my mechanic when it was found that the bike was in need of much more work than initially thought. Their Ebay auction stated that the engine was a fresh rebuild, but was smoking and knocking and is now in the shop needing to be completely rebuilt. Beware: I know they buy bikes at auctions, so they probably bought mine, found that it needed too much work to have made a profit and dumped it on me for $8500 with a glowing description. As with any large purchase, get statements in writing and ask questions before the purchase, because in my experience, this company cannot be trusted to sell honestly.

Bought my bike here 5 weeks ago and rode it home 3 hrs to my place. I Was told they have a no test ride policy. Noticed the 6th gear was dropping to 4th and moving back up to 6th all without clutching when I throttled. This being my first victory I thought this was some normal function and did some research. Havent had much time to ride it since it is winter and all. Just got off the phone with Joe (Which is probably not a real name.) Joe tells me that my bike slipping out of gear is not the clutch. I bought a 2012 victory highball from them. Joe says there is no Texas lemon law and that I should use the Zurich warranty I purchased, (Which doesnt cover wearable parts such as a clutch.) he insisted I take it to a shop near me and try the Zurich warranty. I said "joe, you guys take Zurich warranties, why dont I bring it back to you so you can cover the difference Zurich doesnt pay?" He quickly mentioned that they have no mechanics certified to work on victory bikes and that I should take it to a shop near me. Thought I got a good deal up until this point. That was their first documented opportunity to request they complete the repair. All these guys go by half of a first name for a reason. Dishonest and wont return a phone call unless youre looking to buy. Next step: certified mail. DO NOT BUY HERE.
