I called and the person answering the phone was very unprofessional. They were kind of snappy like they didnt want to talk or were annoyed with me. All I did was ask if they were hiring. And when I looked at the rodents, they were all jumpy and not well socialized, not to mention a whole litter of baby hamsters came in and they all couldnt open their left eye. There were fill grown hamsters that would literally snarl at you if you looked over the cage at them. Never happened with either of the other two hamters I got from different stores. The only thing this store is good for is accessories. Those poor animals are suffering because people are doing a crappy job handling them and dont care at all. The hamster I ended up getting literally went insane and died. Again, never a problem with my other two hamsters. Just this one. Please dont go there these people dont deserve to even be open.

Daxi Wow

This place has very a poor selection for saltwater aquatics aka one tank. The people working there (3 of them) are not friendly and stay behind the counter unless they need to get something out of a tank. Most of the living creatures in this store were "not for sale", which was very odd to take up your already cluttered show floor to display things people can not buy. Also, when asked about their one saltwater tank they have and Asked if something was for sale... One person said yes, then another person said, "I dont know if I want to sell that one". Personally, they have a lot of work to compeet with other stores around here and I dont know how a store is open when hardly anything is for sale. I will never going back there again.

Sometimes you find hidden gems in the worst places, but its sad to say that isnt the case for this place. Not only was the location horrendous, but the livestock was a bigger joke than the location. I went in to look at their African cichlid selection and it was not worth the potential of getting robbed by thugs walking into the store. Im sure the workers must feel the same way as they look more depressed than the fish. On a side note, one of the workers got beat-up by a drunk and it was posted on YouTube. Be careful when going to this location. Better yet, dont waste your time here.

While the service I received from this store was friendly and they stock a good amount of products, I was appalled to see an adult alligator kept in such pitiful conditions. It has a tiny little enclosure, barely longer than the animal, with linoleum flooring and nothing else. This animal is probably bored out of its mind and in poor health. It is nothing more than a curiosity on display, much like a freak show. If they can so casually abuse an animal and put it on public display in such terrible condition, I have no desire to be associated with them.

I have been coming to this pet store since I was a kid. It was a bit better back in the day but I will always shop here it has been a staple on the northside for pet owners. Im glad that you guys stayed open thank you for serving us and staying part of our community. I miss cookie. Im glad she is in a bigger place with other alligators Ive been coming here so long I saw her as a kid and got a chance to take my children to see her.

They have all kinds of fish, reptiles and gerbils here. They have cat/dog pet supplies. The neighborhood is really bad but I was more scared of the giant pythons in the store. I went in the morning and theres a parking lot on the side. Inside the clientele were nice. The owner was kinda grouchy and not that seemingly knowledgeable but was helpful enough. Didnt want to drive too far so not bad.

I went here to buy a rat as a pet and they had them downstairs and wouldnt even let me see all of them or their living condition. They brought the rat to me in a paper bag and picked it up by its tail which is not okay. I live an hour away and wasnt even half way home when I noticed the rat i had bought was sick with a respiratory infection. Will never go back or recommend to anyone.

I have been a longtime fan of the store and used to live in the neighborhood. They have always been very informative and professional in their business. I would recommend anyone who loves pets or may be new to pets to pay a visit and see what they can do for you.

Good store with friendly and helpful people. The only thing not good is that this area seems horrible and not safe. I went there at night, thus it was not hard to find a parking lot. Overall, I am satisfied with this store and recommend it to others.
