Awful experience. I took my 2.5 years old little dog Bambi to the Petsmart located in Euclid Ave for 8:30 appointment. Somehow they told me that my reservation was on 8:00 (which is unbelievable). Anyway, they took my dog and after that I received a phone call about an hour later telling me that they simply couldnt do the grooming because it was busy hours and Bambi was so active and it would be very hard or perhaps dangerous to do the grooming. They offered me two options: let them try their best to get this done in 4 hours or take Bambi home and schedule another appointment to get rid of the busy hours. This was just ridiculous cuz I have never received any complaints about my dogs behavior during grooming before. It reminds of the previous experience that I had with this store, when we picked up my dog, there was bleeding between his nails, which I believe is because the staff there is not well trained to groom dogs. Anyway, go back to todays experience, I asked them to try their best and give them a call three hours later to pick up Bambi. When I was there, they told me that because there are fleas on my dogs skin, they put some preventives on which would add 27 more dollars. I was confused because they should at least call me to state the fact and ask me if I would like Bambi to have those preventives or not. Unfortunately, despite that they claimed calling me 3 times, I never received any phone calls from them and after I showed the cell record to them, the manager came in and told me that they could void the grooming service but I AM NOT ALLOWED TO BRING BAMBI IN FOR GROOMING SERVICES ANYMORE!! Thar was really rude and as a guest, I feel strongly offended by their behaviors. Of course, I would never come to this store for grooming service, but it shouldnt be them who could decide whether I could request grooming service or not. Thats just really awful experience!!

I have two fourteen year old dogs, a Silky Terrier named Tracy and a Pug named Rhianna. I have fed them Science Diet that I bought at PetSmart since they were puppies. I recently purchased a new bag and after the first feeding both of my dogs were vomiting and having bout of diarrhea. I called the vet and he said to take them off of the dog food for a couple of days and feed them rice. I followed his instructions and both dogs got better. When I reintroduced the food, both of the dogs got violently ill. At this point in time I decided to check the internet and found that the dog food had been recalled. I took the bag and the recall notice to PetSmart, when the manager saw the notice she told me that PetSmart does not pull tainted food from there shelves if it is a voluntary recall. She then tied to get me to exchange the bag; when I refused she offered me an in store credit. I explained to her that I would no longer be a customer of PetSmart, so the in store credit would be of no use. The only reason she gave me cash back was because several customers noticed the exchange and were looking on. The manager had no regard for my animals. I will not shop at an establishment that will not pull tainted pet food from their shelve unless the government forces their hand.

This is not towards PetSmart but to Banfield Hospital. I purchased their Wellness plan for my Kitten that they praise as gold and the ultimate money saver and was SCAMMED. The Assistant told me it would cover all major surgeries, operations and procedures including: Neuters and declaws. I come to find out I was mislead. I paid for the operations out of pocket because the Manager said only some things are covered. Then down the road, I find out my kitten has an umbilical Hernia that the Nurses AND Doctors didnt find, out of all 7 plus of my visits and guess what, they wont cover the procedure and gave me an estimate of $1400 plus to fix it. This plan basically covers your shots and neuter. You will probably save more money just paying out of pocket regardless since it was come out almost the same. All the company could do was issue an apology with a big F-U sign basically. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PLAN. Read all the other terrible review about how hard it is to even schedule an appointment. It is a nightmare! There are so many other things wrong with this hospital but everyones review will help clarify. This lesson cost me a fortune.

I find it absurd that people are paying for their dogs to be in a daycare/play date setting at petsmart.I go in to shop there at least once a week and always go to look at the dogs playing while we are there (my son likes to look at them) Anyway, they are never playing,as no toys are provided to them and if they start to play with each other or they even bark (god forbid a dog should bark) they are immediately squirted with a water bottle and scolded by the grumpy worker that always seems to be present everytime we go there.I for one am pissed and I have brought it to the managers attention more than once...they never offer an excuse. Please people, dont waste your money and take your dog elsewhere and they just might enjoy their time while away from you.Just thought you all would like to know...dont believe me,just go in and see for yourself. It really is pitiful.

Went to pick up a few things at this location when I saw a store employee appear to be training a tiny dog to walk through a makeshift obstacle course in the stores aisles. As we were looking at items, this "trainer" kept yelling at the dog to sit while he was holding on to the leash. The poor thing started trembling and this guy just got louder. Really? What kind of training involves screaming at an animal, Pet-Not-So-Smart? Are these the kind of people you want representing your store that dont respect animals? Plus, why dont you get the person who is watching the dogs to smile and interact with them? If anyone is worried about a pets temperament, you should check out these employees instead. If I ever hear an employee yell at another dog again, I will be contacting Corporate. You can do better. Shame on you!

I am sorry that the two previous reviewers had bad experiences at this PetSmarft superstore. Our experiences have been exactly the opposite. We began with training there when our dogs were just puppies. It was a wonderful experience with one of the best trainers we have ever know. We have left our dogs there numerous times for day camp. Once again, the staff could not have been more helpful, knowledgeable, and courteous. We have boarded both dogs for a couple of extended periods and had the same treatment. In fact, when the staff detected a urinary problem in our female dog, they called us and arranged a visit with their pet hospital on site. When we returned we went back to our regular vet who said catching this early saved our pet a lot of discomfort. We cannot say enough good about this pet store!

I enjoy shopping at this Pet Smart. The staff is friendly and helpful. I am shocked and horrified to learn (accidently) that my rescue dog, possibly all three, who suffer from anxiety due to the terrible past they had (puppy mills and abuse) has been coned during grooming. I was never told of a problem. When I pick them up, I am always told how wonderful and well behaved they are. The report cards they give you are all positive .If you have a problem with one or all of my babies, talk to me about it. I should make the decision on how I want to go forward. Do not torture my dogs behind my back! By the way, I am still waiting for my call from corporate. Beware of this Pet Smart grooming salon!!! This got 1 star from me only because I could not send without one!
