I called to make a grooming appointment for my Lhasa Apso for 10/5/16 at 12:30 pm, that went fine. Then I asked if it was possible for me to shadow the groomer groom my dog (as I would like to be a groomer). I was told by the manager that I could watch through the store window but not the bathing process that happens in the back. Why not? What are they doing to my dog that they will not allow me to watch them bathe him. I even said I would sign any kind of waiver they would like.. she said "Unfortunately we dont allow customers in the back of the grooming section. You can watch through the window if you would like to see the nails trimmed/body clipped. As for bathing we do not allow customers in the back of the store." Uh, why the hell not? What are you doing to our dogs that you dont want the owners to see? 1 Star for Pet Co. After this incident, I did some research and found out they left a dog in a heated cage for over 6 hours on "accident." When the owner came to pick up her puppy, the dog was found in the heated cage, unconscious, and was rushed to a nearby animal hospital... He passed away. SHAME ON PET CO! 1 Star!

UNACCEPTABLE! My youngest rat, Midnight, was sneezing a lot and I had a free 30 day vet visit for any concerns. I said "why not? Its free, even if its just allergies at least shes ok". I took her to petco, they said I had to return her, theyd give me a gift card that matches her cost, then when shes ready to go home in about 2 weeks, I repurchase her. Its been 2 weeks, I call them today. Apparently theyve been trying to get a hold of me for a week...they were calling the wrong number!! After a week of no response, they returned her with the other rats. I told them over the phone to go to the rats and look for one with half of the tail black and the other clear. THERE ARE TOO MANY THAT LOOK LIKE THAT! THEY DONT KNOW WHICH ONE IS MY RAT!! THATS MY BABY GIRL!! And I cant sue or do anything because they had me return her!!!!! They told me I had two weeks, they returned her after one! They took my baby girl!

She cut my dog! I took my Australian shepherd in for a routine groomers appointment. Nothing special, just bathe, trim nails, brush, and remove a matte behind his ear. Usually Rebecca does my dogs appointments, but this time Ashley did it. Everything seemed fine at first, but then when I brought him home and looked at his ear to see if they removed the matte, there was quite a bit of blood behind his ear. It obviously irritated him, because he didnt wanna let me touch it. Evidently they thought the best method of removing the matte was by shaving the area. She was obviously not careful enough and cut him! On top of that, she failed to tell me about the injury. All she did was put some ointment on it and hope that I didnt find it. I only know she put the ointment on it because there was some goop and I could smell it. I will be finding a different groomer for future appointments.

I needed a gift for our sweet grandpup on Christmas. Gus needed a winter cost. With work and recent death in family and other things, I couldnt do much shopping. We decided to run over on Christmas Eve after church. While hubby parked the car I ran in. I was greeted by someone who gruffly told me I had 6 minutes to shop because the boss told the staff they could close early. Sales associate CHLOE TO THE RESCUE! She stepped in and greeted me kindly and helped me make my selections quickly and I paid for the goods. If Chloe, whom I had never met, hadnt been there I wouldve walked out and never returned. Thanks, Chloe. These stars are for you! (Gus loves his new jacket)

The Grooming Dept is excellent! I used to take my keeshond to Madra when I lived on the Eastside, and while I personally liked the owner of Madra, the groomers at Petsmart seem actually more compassionate and gentle with my sensitive and skittish kees. Ive taken her to the Community Bark in Bayside where the prices were higher and they worked half as long on her coat. Honestly, shes had the best grooming experience at Petsmart which I was happily surprised with. The prices are reasonable as well. Edit - Delete

a friend and i walked in the other day and while looking around the store, we noticed a dead frog in one of the tanks. so we went to the nearest associates, two ladies. they giggled at each other and said they didnt have the keys, and went on with their business. after this we went straight to the MOD and told him what had occurred and hopefully that little froggy is taken out by now. i have had many problems with this stores reptile care, though i do like their prices for food and supplies.

I purchased a cage for my ferrets on August 23rd. When I received the cage through ups the box was severely damaged. I returned the cage on August 28th . It is now September 24th and I have yet to receive my return back into my credit card. Ive called the store multiple times and no one can give me a direct answer as to when I should be receiving my money. This is just ridiculous that I have been waiting almost a month to get my money back!

I first Googled products that I was looking for and then I called in advance to make sure of product availability. I got to the store and was told what isle to search. My products were no where to be found. I was told that these cat supplies were there and they werent. I dont like having my gas and time wasted!! Also, their prices are higher than Pet Supplies Plus & Wal-Mart. I wont go back!

We get all our ferrets what they need from here....we got our end ferret from here. Couldnt have asked for a better companion! Hes so awesome....kick ass personality! Loves to snuggle! I have 3 total Izzy, Bobo and the last one we saved from horrible owners she was so neglected. And Petco has always helped with anything n everything I need for them!!!

I had never taken my dog to get groomed before so I was bit nervous about how he would react.. The groomer did such a wonderful job keeping him (and me) calm that I think he enjoyed it. I now have a crush on this wonder woman named jessica m.. I also learned a lot too very informative person.

Staff was friendly and helpful, but I purchased a plecko fish that seemed healthy. I bought it on a Sunday and it not only died on Thursday, but it also infested my entire tank with Ick. I am very disappointed. I feel like I can never get decent fish anymore.

This place has a lot of products, and lots of fish, some birds and smaller furry pets. They also host pet adoptions from animal shelters. Theres this pet snack thing in the front of the store that always makes me hungry, haha. Theyre dog treats laid out

They have a decent supply of products and friendly staff. Sadly they dont carry the high end / high quality kibble or wet food. They also carry some products which are mislabeled, suggested for animals they are unsafe for.
