This is by far the worst customer service Ive ever experienced! After talking to a rep in the fish department for well over 20 minutes, I finally decide on a new $159 tank / stand for my son, suddenly the rep goes to lunch and leaves me with someone else who tries to upsale my original purchase buy telling me the price I was quoted was only half the cost! The manager, who stood nearby,said nothing until I became so frustrated I asked to speak to someone in charge. He told me to buy the more expensive model with tank and stand included. GUESS WHAT - 20 minutes later I called to talk to the manager again and it was a different person. The original manager I spoke to was lying the entire time. He was just another employee covering for the other. Its not like I wasnt going to make a purchase - wed spent the time picking just the right one. Youd think in this economy customer service would be great or at least respectful, instead its become criminal. Ill never shop here or this chain of stores again. I strongly suggest others do the same!!!

Ive been a customer at PetSmart for 7 years........and when I asked to take a harness to my car to try it out on my dog......I was told no, even though I was buying over $100 worth of piddle pads + the harness. I was asked to leave my purse......which is worth hundreds plus has all my IDs. Thought this was ludicrous.........so I placed the harness ($24) in the basket and said that I didnt need this nor did I appreciate not being trusted. When I called the manager, she said that she would have come with me to my car.....and that would have been just fine. I really dont think that I will ever go back......so PetSmart has lost a customer and I will not recommend the store to anyone.......Thank you for your consideration in this matter......I am so disappointed in my treatment in the Matteson store! I took my dog here for training classes with Terri and she did a phenomenal job! I signed up for the intermediate and advanced classes and they were just as good, working well with my dog in the group so he could be more social and it has now made him a wonderfully trained dog. On top of that Ive had amazing customer service from multiple people here and they are respectful to me every time I visit. Petsmart has been and will always be my first choice for everything I purchase for my dog

Brought our blind dog to the groomer to get his nails cut and teeth brushed. When I went to pick him up the women suggested I no longer bring him there since it was too stressful for him. They ran a vacuum cleaner and it stressed him out. When I asked if they brushed his teeth they said oh no I forgot and they took him back for about 30 seconds and brought him back up to the front. It was clear they did not like our dog and we wont be bringing him back.

They have everything you could need, everyone there is very helpful. The prices are in the high side.! Things you can find elsewhere for quite a bit less if you shop around. Like Walmart, Sams, target and Costco......
