Pretty long story but worth the explanation. I went to buy a fish for my daughter. Waited around almost 15 min while no one came to help me (even through there were 2 people right down the aisle from them who looked over at me multiple times). Get help and as I tell the guy what I need he says he needs to get the fish guy, which is great since I needed to know about the fish. The guy didnt tell me much, including that the water should sit for over 24 hrs before adding the fish (he died that night). Aside from that the cashier was less than helpful when I asked about their loyalty card and I had to ask a second time if I could have one. I left unsatisfied but didnt plan on saying anything. However they send an email so I went ahead and took the survey honestly and sent it. Went back in the next day to buy a beta at the advice of friends. Told the cashier I wanted to make sure I had the correct food and they were more resilient etc. She realized I was the one who sent an email (not a manager so not sure why she was privy to my email, nor why he thought it ok to bring it up then and there as she is NOT the manager) and said oh you emailed the complaint. I told her how it took me asking for help to get someone to come by the live animal area to help her answer was well they are young so sometimes it takes them a min. Then she asks me if I need the manager to contact me still or if Im ok. I said it was fine as this point I wanted to just leave it be, and walked out. Getting to my next location I realized I wasnt given my 12$ change at all and called back, speaking to the same woman who said "yea you did, remember I waited for singles". This was not the case at all. I told her no, must not have been me as I was the one she asked about the survey and complaint and I didnt wait at all. Honest mistake I assume, because thats what I assume of all- bad day honest mistake-just move forward and fix it and apologize and we are all good. She calls back 15 min later as I was parking in the parking lot (confident they had my money as I had it nowhere and only started with a certain amt and didnt have the change from this transaction left)She says that there was a $7 discrepancy and that must mean and other discrepancy earlier in the day so yea come get my $12. Would have been all good if that didnt sit well with me but worse yet as I come walking in shes got the whole store of employees around her - all I heard was the tail end but you can bet they were standing around talking about me and the whole ordeal. Not acceptable. You dont make a customer feel like they are in the wrong and then stand around discussing it in fron tof other customers either. I truly hope they are all given are lesson in customer service and shown how to treat customers for the future. It seems they could all use it as I do not feel like any of this was handled correctly and I never got mad, raised my voice or anything like that. I had valid complaints and was made to feel as if I did wrong by taking the survey sent to me which I would assume is a way to make sure they are on the ball and if there are any issues correct or retrain.

We have been a regular customer at their grooming service for a long time..we take our 3 dogs in regularly. The grooming is usually fine but the employees are rude as can be. Its disappointing to see that customer service is not a priority here..we bring you our pets, who are valued members of our families..if you treat us poorly I can only imagine how you will treat our dogs. Today was the last straw for us, i could deal with the poor service because the grooming was usually fine but today we had an issue with one of the dogs getting there and we called several times to explain and let them know we would be late, not only did they not answer our calls but when I got there there were several employees all standing around...clearly they could have answered. We arrived a little late and they refused to help us..mind you there was no one else in there, and we had a huge block of time set aside because we were bringing all of the dogs in to them.We made the appointment for several days prior and THEY called US to reschedule because they couldnt do it..because they rescheduled it really incovienced us, and then when we get there they are rude and inconsiderate to the issues that ensued trying to get there..and we are going to bring them 3 paying customers!? Im sorry. That is not how you treat customers, let alone repeat customers. End of discussion. They ask would you recommend? The only recommendation I have is to get new employees that have enough smarts and personality to provide adequate and sincere customer service. If they dont want to be there fire them because they are costing you customers. And we dont want our pets treated the way we are. Its really very simple.

I have had it with the way this store cares for their animals. In the past, I have seen everything from dead fish to filthy water, etc. I dont know why I continued to shop there. Today, I went into the store and there was a three-year-old black feline up for adoption in a cage. Upon looking at the cage, I observed a litter box filled with loose stool not only in the litter box, but all over the cage. Not to mention the cat appeared sickly and in distress. For the prices this store charges, I would expect better care of their livestock. On a positive note, the staff is friendly.

Never seems to be able to keep things in stock properly. 2/3 of the time when I go there for Natures Instinct Raw Diet, they dont have it in stock... the same goes for any of their freeze dried products... if its there, you might as well buy as much as you can afford, before someone else does because it may be a month before they get it stocked again... They have been out of bulk marrow bones now for going on 4 moths or more! Dont get me wrong, the staff is generally great, but whoever does the invetory control and ordering seems to have no clue what there doing...

I dont agree with the bad reviews about the employees based on my personal experience. Im in my fifties & have back problems, at times severe pain. Every time I have shopped here on my "bad days", Ive found the employees to be very helpful & sympathetic to my situation, at times even insisting on helping me get my pet supplies out to & into my car, even after Ive assured them I could handle it. I thought at first they were looking for a tip, but have refuse to take a tip, even when offerred more than once. Theyve been friendly & seem genuinely happy to help.

Great, knowledgeable staff. They really care for the critters. Great customer service. Very clean store. Cages and tanks are always clean, adoptable pets are always well fed and proper access to food. Great prices. Great deals if you catch them on time. Love this store!! Parking can be a headache, but worth it.
