PetPartners is a wonderful store! Though it is not as new and fancy as your large chains such as PetSmart, they have been a local family owned business for many years. I am very impressed that they try and help save kittens that would otherwise be sent to the shelters or left on the street; they try to help adopt out kittens and the proceeds go to area shelters. They are more than happy to order any type of items the customer needs as well. Every time I have been in that store their animals have been well taken care of. I believe if people have trouble from the animals they purchase there, it is more than likely the care takers fault. They are very good about guaranteeing their animals and products. All fish (except feeder goldfish who have a hit or miss lifespan, which is why they are FEEDERS) have a 14 day warranty. All food and other products have a 100% guarantee. No matter if the product is half used. All in all this is a very nice store. Though it may smell a little funny sometimes, it is a pet store.

Dirty. Smelly. Disorganized. They sell a ton of feeder mice and reptiles, so you get the idea of the type of typical customer they seek. Always some type of animal for purchase or adoption thats barely looked after. Always a dog in some pitful condition tied behind the counter. A ton of flyers and notices all over the windows. The store is run down. In the past, I did a self dog bath there for my dogs, and my dogs came back with major fleas. And, my dogs were on flea treatment! Their customer service has come up over the years and the staff is much more helpful then ever despite all the other negatives. Definitely a low standard store with poor quality controls and unprofessional demeanor from staff.

Ive shopped here off & on for years. The ladies are always nice & helpful. I usually take my dogs (Jack Russells) with me when I go and they love it. They usually have dog/cat food samples you can take home and let your pets try out. Some of the prices are a little high, but most of its better quality stuff & worth it! The last 1-star review was utterly stupid. So what if they sell small rodents (used to buy them all the time when I owned snakes) and $10 for a kitten is pretty cheap since theyre housing/feeding them until theyre sold. Im sure it cost more to adopt at the shelter.

Not to place to shop if you have pet reptiles. I breed ball pythons and have never had an issue with mites, though after buying some Spaghnum moss for incubation from this location my entire collection was infested within 2 days. It has resulted in discomfort and possible disease for my collection of over 30 pythons and cost me hundreds of dollars in substrate and Jurassi Mite, not to mention a delay in the breeding process and hours of cleaning the pests off my snakes. Prices may be lower for reptile products but in the end it will cost you a lot more.

I would rate this a big, fat zero if I had the option too!! Pet partners on w state street is so dirty. Given that its a pet store, but theres no need for the aquariums to be so nasty. I purchased 8 feeder fish from there and one dies every day, besides today, I had two die. I shouldve known not to buy from there b/c they dont even care to remove the DEAD FLOATING FISH from the tank. They leave like twenty in there to float. Plus, everytime one dies, it pollutes my pond. WTC!!! You suck pet partners! Youll never see me in there again!

A very friendly and helpful environment. This is the only place that I have ever shopped that every single employee speaks to me. It is not a mindless scripted welcome either. Each associate makes eye contact and genuinely speaks to the customer. It makes a weekly chore of buying feeder crickets not so much of a chore. I spend very little money in there but they treat me as if Im dropping loads of cash each time. I dont personally know anyone who works there either. So they are just simply nice, kind, polite, and knowledgeable.

At first, it seems a little dirty and run down, but I would never buy an animal anywhere else. I have two rabbits that are in spectacular health that Ive had for two and three years. They have never had any health issues, and are very loving and tame pets. I wish I lived closer, though. We also recently bought a ferret, and he is such a wonderful pet. The staff helped us pick out the right animals for us each time we went. Love this place!

This place was very helpful when it came to figuring out what fish I could get and what all I needed. They are informative and pleasant. When asking about if it was safe for one type of fish to be with another type of fish, the employees were quick and responsive. I now have a beautiful tank with stunning fish living in perfect harmony.

Pet Partners always goes out of their way to help me every time I shop. Three years ago they even special ordered a bird for me when I couldnt find a companion for Joy. Charity arrived healthy and Joy and I couldnt be happier. The associates are eager to help and always deliver service with a smile.

I urge everyone not to purchase from this store. Besides selling rodents and other small mammals, they are selling kittens for 10 dollars. With 1000 of cats and kittens killed each day in animal shelters, I encourage someone that wants a kitten to go to their local animal shelter or rescue group.

The staff here is really friendly and very knowledgeable. My cat had a flea problem and cannot use most flea treatments because he is allergic. They recommended several good products that are all natural and smell great. My fur baby finally got some relief for his itchy skin.

Worst pet store Ive ever been in. Stinks bad in there. The guy working kept following me & my daughter around like we were trying to steal something. Wouldnt let us look around without trying to get us to buy something. I left without buying anything. Will not be back.

The people are friendly here but its kind of unkept. There were dog treats that had expired over a year ago on the shelves and when I brought it to the attention of the employees they thanked me and removed them but just seemed like a lot to have missed by mistake.

Friendly and knowledgeable, store is very clean, a good variety, I did give it a 4**** only because it is an older store an could use a facelift, but you the customer are not having to pay extra to walk in a fancy store that sells the same as new exit 7 stores!

I BUT BLUE DOG FOOD FOR MY PURE BREED. THE SAME SIZE 6LB BAG AT PET PARTNERS IS 3-5 BUCKS CHEAPER!!! I WAS BLOWN AWAY TO KNOW I HAD BEEN GETTING RIPPED OFF BY PETSMART THIS WHOLE TIME!!! PET PARTNERS IS GREAT, AND THEY WILL ORDER AND TYPE OF FOOD YOU NEED!!
