Horrible experience. I walked in with a strong co-signer and explained that i needed a vehicle to drive with Uber. Uber has a discount code for this dealership, but they refused to help, but said they could find a better financing. They attempted to put me in a car covered in decals that had sat at Giants Stadium all year, with people crawling in and out of it. Hardly a new car. They looked at me with disdain. Very smug, very arrogant. But I played along. Actually I walked out and they followed me into the parking lot. Anyway they told a bunch of lies about how this was Ronnie Lotts dealership and they werent going to drag his name through the mud. These guys will say ANYTHING! One thing they said is that I could apply a $3000 credit to this "New" Prius. So, the $26000 sticker price would be reduced to $23000 and that is what I financed but when the contract was printed it was for $26000 at $681 per month for six years! Below is a pic of the vehicle. They also said they would remove the decals and I said put it in writing. At the closing it was not in writing so I said why? And he re worded it to say "will remove wrapping". Well, what about buffing out the paint job after they peeled that off? They said that but it wasnt in writing! Nasty people here! I would have been paying nearly $50,000 for a used Prius! It was the WORST car shopping experienced LIFETIME!! Cant wait to talk to Ronnie Lott one day, although I really doubt if he gives a damn. This company bad mouthed other dealers in Tracy also, although I had been to several dealers and no one bad mouthed any other dealer. They bad mouthed ALL OTHER DEALERS in Tracy by accusing them ALL of using roll back loans. I had never heard of this but evidently a dealer can recall a loan?? Well, they promised they would not do that, which was an indication to me that they were going to try to do that, which means that after a month they call me and say, we need to raise the payment because there was a problem with the financing so you need to pay $100 more per month than what your already paying or we have to repo the car! One way I think they do this is by running your credit score and telling you that you dont have a credit score. Probably a month later they come back and say, "oh wait we found your score and its too low so we have to recall the loan" Another thing they did was tell me that because I was an Uber driver the bank was worried i would put too many miles on it. Hey, this was not a lease and I already told them that I worked for Uber. thats Why I was there, to take advantage of The Uber discount Program, which specifically listed Tracy Toyota as a dealer. but not to worry they had another program called the "Gas and Go" program! LOL this was getting DEEP! Anyway, I used my Moms help as a cosigner and they must have sent her credit to 30 different banks because she received all these notices in the mail. It really made me look bad in the eyes of my family, who are out of state and we were talking to her over the phone. They did find a qualifying bank they said, at a $10,000 finance charge. i got up and left and the guy said hey wait! Havent you ever tried to buy a house!? He was comparing buying a car to taking out a mortgage!

Tracy Toyota has been our worst experience with car dealers by far! We were well aware that under the Cars for Clunkers program Prius cars were being sold rapidly. We did our research online and called dealers to check if they had any Prius II in stock, prices, etc. Tracy Toyota was listing about 4 different ones on their website but we knew that dealers werent able to update their online listings fast enough given the high number of customers they were having so, just like with all the other dealers, we called in advance to confirm what they had in stock. We talked to a woman in sales who told us that they had 4 Prius II in stock and that we could check this online. We told her we knew this but that we also knew that dealers werent keeping websites up to date so we wanted to make sure. She assured us that they had that. We called a second time right before leaving our home and another lady assured us that they had 4 in stock. Thinking that the over 1 hour trip from San Jose to Tracy was worth it if they actually had a good inventory of Prius and for a lower price than any listed around here, we decided to make the trip right after hanging up with the second lady. When we get there they tell us that they only had a Prius IV that was going way over than any others we found around here. When we told the sales people that we were told they had 4 in stock and that is the only reason we made the trip they couldnt answer us but continued pushing for us to buy the Prius IV or look at other cars. We were never allowed to speak face-to-face to the two ladies that we spoke to over the phone and no one even apologized or tried to make up for the almost 3 hours we lost going there and coming back. At the end of the day we got a Camry Hybrid from the Toyota in Palo Alto. They had excellent customer service and did their best to keep payments within our budget. DONT waste your time going to Tracy!! It is not worth it at all!

Firstly just want to say this review is about my purchase of a used car (that wasnt a Toyota). So at first this didnt seem like a bad dealership; we lived about an hour and a half away and the salesman was prompt in his response to our questions over the phone. He texted pictures of the car, inside and out, and told us he would be ready for us when we got there, which he was. However it was kind of downhill after that. First during the test drive the cars brakes pulsated. My father and I had a feeling it was the rotors (which it was) and they fixed it but that shouldve been something they checked BEFORE allowing it to be test driven. After we test drove it, the salesman told us that the price was non-negotiable which we knew was absurd. His reasoning was because it was an "online used car", that they didnt get much traffic for their used cars and that similar cars were selling for that price in the area. Unfortunately for them we came prepared with similar cars in the area at other dealerships that were priced significantly lower. This car had all the features I was looking for (which is a reason for my persistence) and after fixing the rotors, I was able to negotiate the price down, which is funny considering they originally said the price was "non-negotiable"! To be honest I think I couldve negotiated the price down even further. Also the finance guy that we worked with was "blah". In summary, I fell in love with the car (2008 Acura TL) not the dealership. I had done my research before and knew exactly what I was looking for. I had also test driven many TLs at other dealerships. So if you know exactly what you want in a car, are knowledgeable about the market and it just so happens to be at this dealership, then its not a bad choice. Just dont expect it to be a "memorable" experience; its get in, NEGOTIATE, and get out so that you can enjoy the car.
