After reading the many negative reviews on Yelp, I was worried to shop at Jala Auto Sales; however, my experience was completely different from the negative reviewers. That said, I feel compelled to state that I am not writing this review to invalidate others experience, but to share mine. Recently, I purchased a Volkswagen CC from Jala Auto Sales. I contacted Carlos before traveling from Los Angeles to Sacramento to inspect the car. Carlos was EXTREMELY professional and kind. He did not badger me or ignore any of my questions (I had many). After speaking with Carlos, reviewing additional pictures, and purchasing another vehicle history report, I hired a mobile mechanic service to visit the dealership to inspect the car. I notified Carlos about the inspection 30 minutes before the inspector arrived. Unlike others, Carlos did not get upset by the late notice, he simply agreed to the inspection and provided my mechanic with the vehicle history report, time to test drive, and privacy when he inspected the physical condition of the vehicle. Fortunately, the mechanic provided a positive report and additional pictures. My mechanic stated that the only problems with the car were a worn Serpentine belt, tensioner, and a broken tail light. I asked him if he would purchase the car and he assured me that it would be a good purchase. That said, I was inspired to travel to Sacramento to inspect the car. When I arrived at the airport, Carlos picked me up in the vehicle. It was evident that the car was well kept. Actually, to say that it was well kept is an understatement. It was beautiful! The photos did not do the car any justice (haha). Also, Carlos was extremely kind and accommodating. His kind spirit was surprising, especially after I surprised him with a request to stop by a nearby authorized Volkswagen service facility for a second inspection. He was shocked; however, he did not deny this request. In fact, I think he took some heat from his boss for taking a long time to close the deal. Nevertheless, as mentioned earlier, this did not stop Carlos from accommodating my request. The service facility thought it was a beautiful car. The inspector conducted a complete inspection (without reading the mobile mechanics notes) for nearly an hour. There were a few things noted, which were small things that would have to be address in the future (normal things like brake changes). Also, to my surprise, Carlos got the mechanic at Jala to replace the serpentine belt and tensioner. The second inspector confirmed that the belt and tensioner was completely new! The other issues were identical to the mobile mechanics notes. They assured me that the other mechanical components were in great working condition (engine, transmission, fluid levels, no leaks or products used to cover up leaks, ac condenser and compressor were excellent, etc.). After the mechanic replaced the tail light, I drove the car from Sacramento to Los Angeles without experiencing any mechanical issues. The car drove extremely well then and now! I love my CC and value my experience with Carlos at Jala Auto Sales. In essence, most problems communicated on Yelp seem to be from individuals that did not pay for a thorough car inspection. It is unfortunate that some individuals experienced horrible mechanical failures after purchasing a vehicle from Jala Auto Sales; however, I encourage prospective buyers to pay for an inspection BEFORE purchasing any vehicle. I was not willing to take a chance with an "AS IS" purchase. In fact, as I mentioned earlier, I paid for TWO inspections, which set me back $220. However, I was grateful to receive a review from two well respected mechanics. This made me more comfortable to buy. Also, I have not experienced any issues with my car! I sincerely appreciate Carlos for his honesty and genuine personality. He showed no signs of stress or aggravation during my last minute inspection request, which made me think that he had nothing to hide.

It was refreshing to find that Terry and George took such good care of me in the entire process of buying a used vehicle from them. I am always apprehensive about buying a car, especially from a used car dealer. But from the start Terry was Awesome! He was not an aggressive typical used car salesman. So I talked to him about a Rubicon Jeep that was on their lot. I asked him if I could test drive the vehicle. He informed that it had a check engine light on and they would not allow test drives until it was fixed (this was a good sign). So I asked Terry to call me back when it was fixed, and he did! At first I was skeptical that maybe they had simply cleared the light, but since I own an auto repair shop, I brought my own scan tool and checked for codes and checked readiness monitors, all clean! I then told Terry that I wanted to fully inspect the Jeep at my shop. He told me not a problem and he even personally took the time to drive the Jeep to my shop. I was glad to see it all checked out great with strong compression! So I told him I would like to purchase it. We came back to the shop where I already had a loan for the vehicle so financing was not necessary. Terry then introduced me to George, who saw my loan terms and requested to try ad save me money. George was able to get me 3.0% LOWER INTEREST, SAVING ME $2,750 over the loan term! And while I was waiting for George to negotiate the loan terms, he bought me lunch! I have to say, this was a great buying experience. For me, trust is earned, not given. I can honestly say that Terry and George earned my trust through this car buying experience. A big THANK YOU to Terry and George at Jala Auto Sales! - Justin B.

After reading the posts on here I was nervous about shopping for a car alone. I could most certainly be sucker. After reading these bad reviews, I checked the BBB (A+) and decided it was worth a shot because I realize 2 unhappy people meant nothing as long as the greatest majority was happy and maybe just never commented on here. I have to say the service was great! Ive been hunting for a particular car for over a year and encountered SEVERAL pushy and dishonest sales people! Jala was honest, had the autocheck report available, The car was exactly as described on craigslist, I drove a long way and there was a minor confusion with the car but the fact that they kindly offered to take care of it and even bring the car to me (I lived over an hour away) so I could test drive it was very thoughtful, They were the first lot that didnt get irritated that I wanted a 3rd party inspection (They even helped me google dealerships and mechanics) and didnt mind that I chose one farther away, The car was beautiful (So were the others on the lot) and the mechanic I chose to inspect it was impressed with both its condition and sale price, They worked out a great deal and payment plan with me and I felt in control, comfortable and informed throughout the whole shopping experience. I took business cards to refer my other single gal pals and clients. I would absolutely buy my next car here! Thankyou Peter, Issa, Fadi and cute fella I missed the name of! Oh- and I never saw a "frank" or a "MO" hahaha!

Jala Auto Sales was the VERY first used car dealership I have ever been to. I moved here from the east coast and I was very hesitant to attempt to go to a used car dealership due to the fear of being "attacked" by the dealers and forced into a shady deal or being ripped off. The moment I arrived at Jala, the gentlemen standing in front of the building were very kind and not pushy whatsoever. One man did ask what I was looking for and I stated that I wasnt sure and he told me to "take a look around" and even recommended that I look at the competitors lots as well! He didnt follow me or constantly try to push me into a vehicle that I did not want like at the other dealerships and after I finally had my fill of the other awful dealerships, I came back to Jala and settled on a car. The sales process was very smooth and they were very helpful. I ended up waiting for a few days until I went back to get the car (had to convince the wife) and I only received one call from them to confirm that I was interested. I didnt get hounded and I wasnt harassed by daily phone calls. There is a reason that Jala is number one on suggested car dealerships in Sacramento. They made my first car buying experience a very positive one and if I need another vehicle, I will return.
