(8/22/2016) W. . O. .W. . .This is a first for me . . .I had to change my review to a 5 star for the simple fact Mataga resolved a conflict with the best possible outcome. I left my original review online in hopes to show how even though mistakes are made from time to time, a good leader/manager/owner will go above and beyond to make things right. I got a call from the owner of the dealership to apologize for the mix up. I believe her when she said that this whole mess was a perfect storm of miscommunication. She offered me the vehicle for what I was initially going to pay for it. I was a bit bummed about the whole situation but I am super stoked now. It’s a kind of funny how my perception of the dealership and staff has changed so drastically. As a consumer, I feel I have become a bit jaded when it comes to car dealerships because of the bad business practices that much of them use and how some of my family members have fallen victim to their scams. I am confident that Mataga is a good place to do business. The best thing I could say is that this is probably a good learning experience for all parties involved. (8/21/2016) BEWARE OF THIS DEALERSHIP, THEY WILL BATE AND SWITCH YOU, STRAIGHT STOCKTON HUSSLE STYLE....I just picked up a 2013 GMC Terrain a couple days ago (8/19/2016). I spoke to the salesman, which name’s Jeff, about the listing. It was priced around 17K. I had a pre-approval check for 16K. Jeff told me out the door they would take my 16K and 1,600 down. I get to the dealership and everything was good up till the finance dept. The woman from finance, Rosa, was like, “Wait there is $1,600 missing." I was like, "ok well, I brought what was agreed upon.” She makes like there’s a big misunderstanding and talks to the manger. Then she comes back in the room and is like, ”OK, we’re good.” We go through the whole thing, them trying to upsell me things like warranties and stuff. We sign the docs and everything (I didn’t make her change the bottom line price). I take the car home. Next day, I get a call from Rosa, “Oh, sir I don’t know what happened but we need another $1,600.” They even graciously offered to give me two weeks to come up with the cash. . . What was a happy experience to begin with just turned into a jump kick in the throat. They expect me to still want this car after this? What world do they live in. . . . anyway you live and learn, hope this review helped someone to always watch there back and get all that stuff in writing even when they pull theatrics like this!

Went to drop off my brand new diesel truck for an oil change, tire rotation, headlight aim, & detail for the following day (dropped off at 5pm). Was not allowed a courtesy vehicle? Was told the "repair work" has to be covered under warranty and requires over 2 hours of labor to get a courtesy car. I guess Im too used to luxury vehicle dealerships that offer loaners for oil changes the following business day with an evening drop off. I wont be doing business here. On top of that, they werent even sure they could do a detail on my truck? They didnt even know the price or anything? I immediately called Valley Lexus of Modesto to see about getting my detail done with them (amazing work they do). They accommodated my every need and I am bringing my truck in for an exterior detail next week. If only they could do my oil change on my Diesel, I could cut the GMC dealer out for good. But I have to take advantage of the 4 free oil changes (2 years schedule free maintenance). So Ill have to suck it up and take it into the GMC in Modesto. If you have a brand new diesel truck with GMC. DO NOT TAKE IT TO MATAGA GMC. They dont even sell diesels, and looked "SHOCKED" that I had a diesel and that I wanted an oil change through them. So Ill take mine to Alfred Matthews GMC in Modesto who sells tons of diesels. Or I may just drive up to my original purchase dealer in Placerville for it. They have great service up there.

SO FAR SO GOOD. I PURCHASE A 2015 GMC SIERRA ON DECEMBER 2015 AND I HAD A GOOD EXPERIENCE IN BUYING MY TRUCK TINA FOUND ME THE TRUCK I WANTED. I LOOKED IN OTHER DEALERS AND THEY SEEM THAT THEY WERENT INTERESTED IN EARNING MY BUSINESS ,SO I DECIDED TO GIVE MATAGA GMC A TRY AND IM HAPPY I DID. I JUST TOOK MY TRUCK FOR ITS FIRST OIL MAINTENANCE SERVICE AND EVENTHOUG THEY TOLD ME MY TRUCK WILL BE READY IN 3 HRS, IT KIND END UP MORE LIKE 5 HRS, BUT I DO UNDERSTAND SO I DIDNT REALLY MATTER TO ME I UNDERSTAND THAT THINGS CAN HAPPEN. BUT THEY DID MY MAINTENANCE WITH NO ISSUES AT ALL. I VE READ REVIEWS OF OTHER DEALERS THAT WONT DO A OIL CHANGE SERVICE UNTILL YOU OIL LIFE ITS AT 15% OR 7K MILES. WHICH I WAS WAITING FOR MATAGA TO TELL ME THAT. AND MY RESPONSE WILL IT BE MY PROPERTY, MY MONEY ,MY FREE OIL CHANGES U CAN HAVE THEM DONE WHEN EVER I WANT BUT LUCKLY THEY DIDNT HAVE THAT BILL S... THANK GOD. GREAT SERVICE MATAGA GMC. WILL DEFINITELY BUY AGAIN FROM YOU GUYS. MY REVIEW ITS A LITTLE BIT LATE, BUT I WANTED TO WAIT FOR MY FIRS SERVICE TO SEE WHAT WILL BE LIKE. I purchased a Buick Enclave. I absolutely love the car. I have purchased over 8 cars in the past from local dealerships in Stockton. This last purchase was the best purchase that I have made thus far. I felt like my business was appreciated. My concerns and my best interests were genuinely considered. The service that we got from the Service Department was outstanding. The staff was very courteous and kept me informed of the progress of the repairs. All work was done in a timely manner. Because we required a rental for a short time, the staff made this process as easy as possible by taking care of the reservations for us. I was extremely satisfied with the quality of the work and service from the staff. On a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being the highest, I would rate it a 5. I dont think that anything else could have been done to enhance this experience. My next purchase will definitely come from Mataga. Kathyrn is awesome!

This dealership blew me away. Ive never been treated with such respect and care. My service advisor Kailela Banez would go out of her way to keep me and my family satisfied. She was very communicative about what was going on with the vehicle and always considered my timing since I needed a car to pick up all 5 of my kids. I reported a safety issue with a seatbelt not always latching and she decided to just keep the car to keep me from driving it due to our health and safety concerns and rented us a car while waiting for the buckle part. I never felt so cared for. Ive actually been thinking about buying a new Buick and I would buy it at this dealership because I know and trust they would take care of me and my vehicle. That goes a long way for me. Thanks Mataga!
