This place is absolutely ridiculous! There are two managers there that are so rude. I was at the register one day and the cashier accidentally closed her drawer without giving me my change, this was obviously an accident that happens from time to time. She had to call a manager to come open her drawer for her because for security they dont have access. She paged for a manager three times as we stood there waiting. I asked where they were and she said most likely in the office around the corner. She pointed me in the direction and I walked over and peeked my head in the door. There were two managers sitting in the office literally less than 10 feet from the register. I asked if they could come up front and the girl gave me the dirtiest look like I (the customer) was interrupting them. I could hear their conversation as I approached the office....they were talking about their children. They were both extremely rude to me the entire time. After I got my cash and they ran back to the office I asked the cashier for their names and titles. Allison the Assistant Manager and Phil the General Manager. So much for customer service. It took over 15 minutes for me to get my change back. I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN!!!! Petco should invest in better management.

Best pet shop for buying toys and accessories as well as food. Sometimes other stores have mostly food, but Petco has a huge supply of anything and everything pet related. Animal cages seem clean for the most part, but I have been in there and seen ferrets with rotten, purtrid mud water and when I told a clerk about it, she was very stupid and insisted there were not any ferrets in the cage, despite there very evidently being two with nothing but sludge water to drink. Otherwise, fish are healthy, birds seem happy, and hamsters seem well socialized. I just got a hamster there the other day and he is already growing to be friendly and showed no sign of ever wanting to nip me. He takes food from my fingers very gently, so I would reccommend them for buying small pets for sure! Also go here for ten times as many toys as other pet shops.

Was not very happy with petco. We tried shopping here for location however with the extreme price increase..ultimately we are spending the same if not more rather then driving to elyria. Crickets are priceD higher as well as everything for reptiles. A typical food run for out chameleon ran us around 6 dollars including crickets and worms.. At petco we spent 17 dollars.. For the same exact things.. When we made comment to the worker... They very snobbishly replied well we are in avon.. Everythings better quality here. Crickets are crickets.. Same with meal worms. Ive never looked at mealworms and said to myself man these worms are better quality bc they came from avon ohio....seriously? Ill stick to my drive to petsuppliesplus =)

We took the dogs to Petco before we moved into our house for grooming... TERRIBLE experience and Tressel had his nose all cut up because he was trying to get out of the cage they had him in without a call or any attempt to let us know, I would have just picked him back up without any services completed. We thought it would be an hour or two and then come back and get them, nope, almost 7 hours later finally got a call that they were ready to be picked up. Well never be going back to Petco for grooming or anything else for that matter.

Wonderful place for pets! Prices are competitive to other pet stores. Friendly, helpful personnel who are there to help you with your pet. They have grooming, puppy training, and some stores have medical services. The cookie bar has a wide range of cookies for all types of dogs. My dog loves going there and is always treated with love by the staff. They also have a wide variety of fish, birds, and other small animals. Petco has everything for all types of pets. It is a really fun place to go.

The grooming here isnt the greatest. I took my Yorkie there for her first grooming, which included much more than what I wanted to have done. She just needed trimmed and her nails cut. She reeked of baby powder when I picked her up, so much so that I had to bathe her again. Her nails were all unevenly cut. My suggestion is to try someone local.

Ive only been there about three times and the third and last they cut my yorkies nail to far on his nerve and he bled. Plus when I came home I saw a bald spot by his ear! He was getting his ear hair removed and the girl gave my poor dog a bald spot. Never going there again. Dont recommend at all.

They are very willing to help u and ask if u need help, they also seem to take very good care of their animals, Including fish (that fish part is very important to me) their bettas arent all sad and dying they are beautiful and seem to be pretty happy 9.5/10 experience i had.

They had the rare, specialized diet dog food reccommended by his vet. The layout seemed nice. Would have liked a larger selection of the Royal Cannin dog food. Seems it is carried mostly only by vets, so I was glad they had it.

Normally I rate Petco at 5 but yesterday I had my first grooming appointment and when I got there there was no groomer. So I had to leave. They had not called. I found a mobile grooming service who will come to my house.

I love this place!! I have gotten all my small animals from here (guinea pigs, gerbils, and hamsters) and they were all really healthy and well behaved! Costumer service is fantastic too. Best pet store around for sure!

This is just like every other Petco. The service is good. I go there for supplies for my aquarium. The variety of fish is not spectacular but they have the usual species in stock. They will special order.
