While browsing on Craigslist for a different vehicle I happened to come across a 2008 Toyota Camry for a pretty good price. Even though Car Source was quite a hike from Cedarburg (120 miles round trip) I just had to check this Toyota out! My father and I drove down to Kenosha to test drive the car. We were assured by the salesman that the car was thoroughly inspected by a certified mechanic and we have the checklist to prove it. I made a choice to put a down payment on this vehicle, feeling very confident in what the salesman shared with us. When I picked up the car a couple of days later, I was a little shocked that the car was dirty with no windshield wiper fluid. They filled it up for me and I got a car wash down the street. I was just glad to have my new car. After driving it for a couple days, something just wasnt handling and sounding right and I couldnt put my finger on it. While on the freeway one day after work, I noticed that when I braked, a red oil light lit up every time. I had my dad check it out and to make sure all of the necessary fluids were topped off. He found that it was TWO QUARTS LOW and the oil was a disgusting black color. FUNNY because the salesman said the oil was changed during the inspection..hmmmm. The very next day a yellow exclamation sign appeared on my dashboard and looked up what it meant on my phone and it said "Check Brake System". I took it into a dealership nearby and was shocked to find out that I was driving in a VERY UNSAFE car with less than 1mm of brake pads left on both of my rear brakes. Why would my oil be black and extremely low and my brakes be completely worn if it was inspected by a certified mechanic? My dad called Car Source to let them know about how unhappy we were because they were very deceptive and THEY were very rude. They basically told us that it was OUR problem and accused me of driving the car like a race car driver (for the past 5 days) and that could be why the brakes were bad!! Ridiculous!! We will see them in small claims court and will let the BBB know about their business but meanwhile want to warn everyone how DECEPTIVE they are! They truly fit the stereotype of "USED CAR SALESMAN" (just cant trust em!!)

Spent a few hours there on a Saturday as they had no less than 5 cars I was interested in and wanted to drive. I drove each and every car and was trying to decide on which to make an offer on. Now in the price range I was looking in each and every car had an issue,(except for the last car I drove which I did not find anything wrong with). I pointed the issues out to the sales person who was helping me, which seemed to annoy him. The car I had the most interest in however had an engine noise which concerned me, and the car I had the second most interest in had some warning lights on. The salesman quickly wrote off my concerns are both. Now here is where the problem comes in. There were other people who test drove those two cars at the same I was there. I was talking to them about the issues with the cars and it seemed to annoy the two sales people who where there. At this point I asked how much room for negotiation they had, which they replied "none". I replied "then I am not a buyer" and started to leave. At this point it got interesting. As I was leaving the sales person said "well, what were you thinking?" and the person with me threw out a lowball (and not serious) number at which point the sales people started yelling at us, literally yelling at us, both of them, and kicked us off the lot. I was willing to negotiate, but they obviously were not. I was very happy not to give them my money if that is how they treat potential customers. I can only imagine how things would have turned out. Additionally, their operation seems a little shady. When test driving the cars I asked about a plate for the car, the sales persons response was that if the police pull us over say we had one and it must have fallen off.

First, they have too many cars on their lot, more than they can handle. There was no space to park our car and they could barely pull the car I bought out of the lot. Because it was so cramped we couldnt get a good look at the body, so many rust spots and stratches. Second, the guy couldnt even help us with the car and I had to walk inside 3 times before he was willing to come out. Third, they didnt show me any car fax and said theyll email it to me, but its been 3 weeks. I shouldve known and took that as a warning sign. Lastly, they didnt do a thorough inspection or cared but there is a major water leak. They said there was a 30 day warranty but every time I called they said their technician was all booked. Whats worst they keep having me call them back, when it should be them to let me know their technicians schedule. This place is garbage, out to sell you lemon cars. You have been warn.

On the phone it seemed too good to be true...it was. As I walked onto the lot the salesmen were painting over wheel well/trim rust with heavy enamel paint to cover it up, first red flag! I walked over to the Honda CRV and saw that they listed every possible problem they could on the car sheet, when I asked about this Sal (salesmen) said he does that with every car for liability reasons, second red flag! When I asked him about this false info he gave me over the phone, my hour commute to this place, and his "liability descriptions" he explained that it was just my opinion and proceeded to go back to painting the rust over on a four door Acura. This is why people hate used car places! PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!
