Worst customer relationship/sales/service I have ever experienced. If I could give them 0 stars, I would! First of all when purchasing my 2012 Tri Glide from them last year, the sales person knew hardly anything about any functions of the trike. She didnt even know how to open the gas cap!. Before purchase, I asked for all the service records since they told me all service had been performed by them. Even though I purchase the $50 deductible Extended Service Plan, they withheld critical service information that cost me over $1,000 and them replacing the trikes engine seven months later. And then I was told they would not provide me with the service record of the replaced engine! Additional problems with CTHD: My heated grips would only get slightly warm and not hot at all. After taking it in to CTHD for service, the heated grips no longer work at all. Knowing their policy, if I return to get the problem rectified, it will cost me an additional $50 because "they have closed the ticket out." (This is based on experience with them from another service problem.) I also asked them to adjust the parking brake because the trike would roll if the incline was steep. After adjustment, the brake is almost impossible to deploy and even if I do, it now has NO holding power at all. When they rang up a set of new highway pegs I was purchasing, the register price was higher than the tagged price. Then they told me the pegs had the old price on them and I had to pay what the register showed. You dont tell a customer that!! Finally, a manager came over to override the register price and you could tell the manager was pissed. I will never purchase from Central Texas Harley Davidson again, nor do I recommend them.

I really wanted to support my local dealer and buy my new 17 Street Glide Special from Central Texas Harley Davidson, but common sense prevailed so I bought from Cowboy Harley Davidson instead. Glad I did. Some advice for Management at Central Texas Harley Davidson: Accepting $1,900 in gross profit on a one-time new unit sale to a customer who spends thousands in aftersales every year on P&A and service, is much smarter than trying to gouge for upwards of $5,200++ profit (including INSANE markup on financing...) at time of sale and risk losing ALL the business from that customer, forever. I told you in advance about my experience in the motorcycle industry. We know some of the same people, and we discussed that. Im all for being opportunistic and as profitable as possible on every deal, but in this case yall played this deal all wrong. I would have loved to buy the bike from Randy as he was very responsive and great to work with, but the numbers you proposed were so far off the mark you made it impossible to buy a bike from you at a fair deal. In the future, please try and pay attention to who your customers are, what their buying tendencies have proven to be (all it takes is a little research to see who you are dealing with...), and most importantly what they are telling you they want. If what they want doesnt make good business sense for you as the dealer at that time, instead of trying to gouge them just say you regret that you cant make those terms work and that you appreciate their consideration. Remember, in the long run customer loyalty is much more valuable, profitable and sustainable than customer satisfaction. Good luck!

I have purchased 2 motorcycles from CTHD over a period of about 7 years. I really hate purchasing vehicles from dealers. Just the sales pressure, the back & forth of negotiating price, etc. My first bike was a new motorcycle. The pressure was greater back then to get all the warranties. They have a few. Eventually I sold it, and returned a month ago to buy a used bike. My salesman, Gunner, was pretty awesome. Not pushy, down to earth dude. I got along really well with him. Then the negotiating began with the next guy. Surprisingly, it went pretty well. They worked with me quite a bit to fit my budget. He wasnt pushy at all & we got along really well. I wish I could remember his name. The bike didnt have a manual, so they ordered 1 for me for FREE, along with a couple extra keys, which I wasnt expecting!! Like most other Harley dealers, the post-sale relationship is strong. They try to keep you involved. They try their best to make you feel like youve joined the Harley family, & for the most part, you kind of have! Regular bike nights at the dealership, BBQs, lots of events. I have received quite a few text messages from my salesman making sure all is going well with my new bike. After the 3rd message I quit responding. Haha Seems like they have been working on an easier more comfortable buying experience. Smart move. My 2nd experience here was much much better!!

Patience... I dont know about the negative reviews or the service department, but I had a VERY good experience with their sales guy, Pete. I went into CTHD expecting to be hit in the head with a Harley as soon as I walked in the door (bad experience from other dealers); however, I was pleasantly surprised when Pete walked over to see if I needed anything. I was in the market for a bike and had heard good things about them so I figured I couldnt lose, right? I started out with what I thought was the perfect bike for me (not knowing much about Harleys) and after talking with Pete... well, I ended up looking at a totally different model than I had my heart set on-- he was right! Spot on. The bike I "thought" I wanted would not have fit "me" or my riding style. We walked around the showroom and Pete took time to explain a lot more about all the bikes on the floor (and the dealership was busy that day). Even though I wasnt able to buy at that time, Pete was very patient and knowledgeable and didnt mind sharing everything he knew. When I do buy a Harley, itll be from Pete at CTHD. Everyone there was really friendly and it was a fun experience. In a nutshell: Pete was great and had a ton of patience with all my questions and flip-flopping from bike to bike. Definitely the guy to see. It was like talking to an old friend.

We just bought another bike at Central Texas Harley Davidson. The 1st bike we purchased was in 2011 from Mitch. We were in the neighborhood just looking when Mitch approached us and asked if we needed help. He wasnt pushy like a lot of sales guys at other places. We had a lot of questions and he took the time to help and find the right bike for us. Since then we have had to contact Mitch on several occasions (for instance once on a trip to AZ I lost my keys and called Mitch - he had a replacement key sent to HD in Tucson where we were passing through). Doug is another great contact at CTHD. When Mitch was off, or working with another customer, Doug was there to help us. There is a great comradery at this dealership. Mark in Service cant be beat. We had some bad experiences in the past with the service department but since Mark took over we feel comfortable. He isnt going to take your bike and try to sell you the most expensive maintenance package or something you dont need - he WILL tell you what you need and NO MORE. Mark will take the time to explain and give advice. The combination between Mitch, Doug and Mark cant be beat at any Harley dealer elsewhere. Thanks guys!!!!!!
