*Attention Black Motorcyclists* This place is perfectly fine... As long as you arent young and black. Ive come to this location FIVE TIMES in the last few weeks, and countless other times in the past few months looking to speak with someone about purchasing a new bike. Only on the last time did anyone even so much as say "hi" to me and ask if I had any questions, before attempting to pass me off to another salesman, and then just walking away with a "let me know if you need anything". I hadnt even answered his question yet. Okay... My girlfriend has received the exact same treatment just as many times. Shes smaller, so she wants a bike that will more easily fit her. They had no answers. Literally zero. Fortunately, this last trip (which will be the last, I assure you) someone finally offered a weak "well... sit on them. see what feels comfortable". He never even looked in our direction. Well then... The one highlight; the staff working in the helmet/gear section. There were at least seven people working in that section, and only one even looked up from their conversation (with each other, not anyone looking to buy, of course) but he was so helpful to both of us that it almost made up for everyone else ignoring us. Almost. For that trip. Ive been in your store at the same time as white guys about my age getting service from two, sometimes three people at a time. I cant even flag anyone down. To make it worse, Im coming in ready to put HALF down and you STILL cant seem to look me in the eye. But I have no problems talking to people on the phone. Interesting. Maybe its my Irish name and slight European accent... Hmm...... I still want another motorcycle, that part never changed, but I live less than half a mile from you, and Id still rather drive to Arlington (or farther) to purchase and receive service. This is truly unacceptable. I have no problem with racism. Im not naïve, nor am I new to this country. But completely ignoring someone, ESPECIALLY when they APPROACH you with questions about how to pay you thousands of dollars over the next few months... "Freedom" (ironic name, isnt it?), that is something honestly far beyond racism. You dont care about losing one persons business, Im sure. But hopefully, other black motorcyclists will see this in time to skip paying your dealership a visit.

Dear Carlos, We wanted to send you a thank you letter! I know it is a little late, its been a while you, representing Honda, Kawasaki West really impressed us in how you, and the others have conducted business with us. I would like to recognize you, as well as the following people involved in the sell of our new Honda Goldwing motorcycle: Carlos, Chase, Logan, Phillip, and Nicole. Your facility not only made us feel like family, but you also helped us through our first purchase of a Honda Goldwing 1800. We have always owned 1500s. The sell went really smooth and “PROFESSIONAL.” Even as Chase was on the phone with another customer, he still recognized us as customers, and waved at us. Logan, took us over to the clothing area to show us some jackets, Nicole already had all the paperwork ready for us; no holdup whatsoever. Carlos, after we purchased the motorcycle, called us to see how we liked our motorcycle. If a commercial was ever done, I would absolutely have no problem saying how warm and accepting the customer service is at your facility, and how your facility has made us feel like family; not kidding! Nicole even took the time to and introduced us to several other buyers. Nicole was so excited to do this. We are really excited to have done business through your facility, and we feel like we have also made friends. Even our coming in for other things, you still treat us like we were the first time customers. This is absolutely unheard of in the business world. Once the sale is made, the business stops courting the customer. Not Honda Kawasaki West. You still treat us like we are new customers, because you know with that kind of treatment, we will also be returning customers, as well as customers who refer other customers to you. Again, thank you for your help, friendliness and professionalism. Sincerely, Mr. and Mrs. Brian and April Dunn Honda Goldwing 1800 buyer.

I really wanted this place to come through for me so I would have a local shop that I could rely on in a pinch. I will not be going back unless I am absolutely in a bind for something. First - I special ordered a part (knowing it was more than I would pay online, and would take longer). Like I said, I wanted to support local and have a shop I could rely on. I was told it would take a couple days at most, and promised I would have it before the next weekend. I ordered it on Friday, checked with them the next Thursday and they did not have it. Checked again Friday and was told it would be the next Tuesday or Wednesday to get it. Someone obviously dropped the ball. Second - got a full blown flat on a tire that was leaking so decided to get a new tube. Went to FPS and got a new tube no problem (paid about $5 more than online). Got home, pulled the tire off and started to break it down, but it was late so I decided I would just take it by their shop the next day and have them do it. Since I bought the tube there I figured it would be cheaper than most places. Went by at lunch and they were able to do it while I was waiting (which is why the get 2 stars instead of 1). Pricing was not discussed at all and I honestly thought $15 would cover it. Bill was 36 bucks to change a tube! When I protested the guy behind the counter said that was the cheapest thing that he could bill. Right.... I paid less for a new tire, tube and had the KTM shop pull/reinstall the rim off my sons bike for less than what I paid for this new tube. I would have fought the tire off, or had it done at any tire shop for less. Unless you see it on the shelf here and are impatient you would be better off getting it online or getting service somewhere else.

I give Freedom Powersports in Fort Worth 5 stars only because thats the highest it will allow. I am a brand new rider. I just completed the Motorcycle Safety Course and had just begun my search for the perfect motorcycle for me. My wife and I met with Cristian, our very knowledgeable sales guy. He was very patient with me as I am very inexperienced. He listened to my wants and needs and made very reasonable and practical recommendations and suggestions. He took the time to ensure that I was comfortable with the whole selection and buying process. We will definitely return to this store for all of our motorcycle needs and always look for Cristian. When I finally made my decision on the motorcycle I wanted to purchase, we met Nicole, the Finance Manager. She was amazing. She worked with us on every aspect of the financing and purchasing process and thoroughly answered all of our questions. Of course I needed riding gear, and Tony was very helpful and knowledgeable in that area. He took all of my wants and needs and paired me with the best gear for me that provided comfort and, more importantly, safety. Johnny in the shop/receiving area walked me through every aspect of the motorcycle that I had purchased. He welcomed all of my inexperience questions and continued to encourage me to ask more. He made sure that I was comfortable with the motorcycle before I left. Over-all Freedom Powersports and the above mentioned associates made mine and my wifes first-time motorcycle buying experience very pleasant and memorable. We recommend Freedom Powersports Fort Worth to anyone, experienced or otherwise, for any/all powersports wants/needs. You will be very glad you chose them!!!
