Like any shop theyve got nice bikes and accessories to sell, and they can fix your bike if its got problems. The workers are nice, and more than happy to assist you, but I wouldnt trust their repair shop. I took one of my bikes there telling them its having trouble starting. I said the battery was fairly new, so i thought it was something else, like the stator maybe. a new battery, and a "full service" later, they call to say its ready, we go to pick it up and they tell us that it died on them, so theyre going to check it some more. 2 days later they call and say the stator is out and needs to be replaced. 1.3k and a new stator later it works again. Although, i just paid 3 times for a repair I told them what the problem was. My old battery was fine, but they were convinced that a new battery would solve the problem. Now, i did have an older bike getting serviced that I got for cheap, but for 1.3k plus what i paid for this, i could have gotten a better one. Pity. Spark plugs werent changed, valves are still out of wack. At this point I have no idea what the "full service" includes. The oil looks as if it might be newish, but the guy a bought it from a month ago said he changed the oil to get the bike ready to be sold(of course its wiser to change the oil yourself no matter what a seller claims), so i dont really know. The only difference with my bike now from when i took it into the shop, is it now starts. Im not goin back to this place again. If i need to get something new maybe, but not for repairs. Oh, what i thought was brilliant, when theyre excpecting customers to come pick up their bikes after servicing, they have the finished bikes all lined up outside with they keys INSIDE the ignition. there were about 8 bikes when i went, and some really nice ones too. From a ninja, to a harly custom, to a 2008 ducati monster. All with the keys sitting right in the ignition. No cameras in/out of this building as far as I could tell, and this side of the building has no windows with easy view of these bikes. The shop garage door is next to it sure, but they keep that closed unless they are moving bikes in or out of the shop. This was just my first experience, im not planning on having a second, if youve had a better one please put down your review.

One star is generous. Extremely disappointed over my experience with this business. I phoned about a discounted new ATV on the internet. I asked Trace if I can have the take-off wheels and tires in addition to the aftermarket already on the ATV pictured in the ad with the discounted price. He said, "I am sure we can find them". After getting with his manager, he called back with a drive-out figure and said it includes the take-offs. When I asked him if there was anything NOT ON the ATV to get to that price, he said "you". After 7 or 8 phone calls with Trace. I drove almost 100 miles with trailer in tow. Upon arrival, I found that Trace had left just before our noon appointment that I was a little early for. They put me with another salesman. I wanted to see interest rates, so we submitted the info to the bank. Funny thing happened, the payments came back high for the rate that I got. I asked about the difference, they said it must be the $1100 wheels and tires. If I worked a drive-out with Trace without the wheels and tires by mistake, why were they throwing them back in and sliding them into the payment. 200 miles and about 6 hours on a Saturday wasted. On the drive home, they called to try to bring me back but still refused to honor what Trace had told me. I sold and managed in the car business for 8 years. I know about accessory addendums and verifying equipment in long distance sales transactions. This is called, whatever it takes to getem in the door. Dont drive more than 25 miles to do business with these guys. That way, you dont waste more than an hour driving.

I took my 08 Kawasaki Teryx to have it serviced on March 28th (I also at the time of drop off gave verbal consent to fix anything needed to make it run properly). I was given an estimate of 2-3 weeks. I wasnt in a huge rush to get it back so that seemed reasonable to me. That time frame came and went. I made multiple phone calls and was met with excuse after excuse. Finally I sent an email to the GM Larry Bobbitt and I got a phone call from the service guy. It still took another month and some change to get my SxS back. I finally picked up my SxS yesterday August 4th. That is 130 days UNACCEPTABLE! The ONLY saving grace for this shop is the new Service Manager Justin. Cleaning up someone elses mess is never easy, and I cant contentiously fault him for that. I received little to no communication from this shop over the last 130 days, and now Ive been asked twice in less than 24 hrs. what I thought about my experience at this location. Well folks, Ill tell you what. It will be a cold day in hell before I go back to Freedom Powersports in Decatur TX.

Bought brand new Kawasaki Mule. Within 2 days of minimal usage on a gravel parking lot, we had a flat tire (with no nails or other sharp objects in effecting the tire), and the rig had issues going into reverse. We notified this company and they charged us a pick-up fee from 10 miles away to fix it. Upon receiving it back, we used it for one week and, apparently, the belt began slipping and we could not drive smoothly, if not barely move forward or backwards without the ATV feeling like it was breaking apart. This all happened within two weeks of buying this brand new Kawasaki mule and without abusing it or driving it fast or in the mud. It is currently back in the shop, where they charged us another pick-up/delivery charge, although it is under full warranty. They picked it up September 6th. We just called them today, September 10th, and they explained to us that they have not even "gotten to it yet...but they probably will today." Highly dissatisfied with the customer service and product from this company.

Hmmm... Where to start... My sister and I drive from Fort Worth at 520 at night, arrived well after 6 but Bobby didnt mind waiting... These guys treat you like family from the minute you walk in... Larry the manager treated us like we have been best friends for years... They had everything ready and it took all of about 8 minutes for my sister to upgrade from her rancher to her new XMR. Fantastic price on her unit, and accessories they sold us... There are some less than flattering reviews on freedom, I never write reviews but felt necessary on this one... These guys are incredible... This is the 5th bike Ive been apart of buying from the freedom family and each time they out do the previous... Have sent numerous friends there who have become freedom for life also... Keep doing what you do Freedom of Decatur... Just put a sign up so we know youre there ;) Chase Vance of Fort Worth location is a rockstar also...
