Fresh Market still has a long way to go if they want to win my business. This is the grocery store I really want to love, but struggle to find even acceptable. My first and primary complaint is that most of the items sold at FM are ridiculously overpriced, especially considering the amount of competition in the area. I understand that smoked salmon and truffles are always going to be expensive items, but a can of Pam doesnt need to cost $3.75. Seriously. Secondly, this store (not sure about other FMs) is quite small, so it doesnt offer the variety of, say, a Wegmans, which is its main competitor in the area. Thirdly, I havent even found the employees in the store to be particularly friendly or, in some cases, competent. I recently was in the store to purchase a single item, for which I paid cash. After I handed the cashier a $20 bill, I received incorrect change. Out of habit I typically count my change and so I realized I had been shortchanged by $5. Was this human error? Yes. Was it acceptable? Hm, not really... Because it was the result of carelessness on the part of the cashier, and its not like she had a long line of customers or anything. Little incidents such as these leave me feeling deflated when I think of FM, and thats a shame, because it is a beautiful store and it sells wonderful gourmet food. My advice to the corporation would be to: a) lower your prices on everyday items, b) build bigger stores and try to expand existing ones, and c) install self-check out lines.

I purchased a Fresh whole chicken, antibiotic free not organic for roasting. It turned out to not be that juicy/moist and the white meat was on the tougher side. Bought on Wednesday and roasted for dinner on Thursday. Made it the same way I usually do. My daughter was visiting and this is her favorite meal. So disappointed in a chicken that probably cost more then the Giant Nature Brand and Wegmans antibiotic free. There is a fairly expensive store as it is small and has more organic items etc, but I will not be back for a roast chicken that is for sure. Also I bought non organic zucchini as well and it did not have as much flavor as what I buy at Giant or Wegmans. I buy either non- organic or organic depending.

This is the priciest grocery store in the area, but if you want good food and are willing to pay for it, this is the best place to go. The produce costs a bit more, but it is mostly better quality too. The deli is a rip-off, but the bread is some of the best in the area and the meat is also quite high quality. They have quite a selection of specialty foods that are almost always a safe bet. The pre-cooked meals are most certainly the priciest of all grocery stores in the area, but when they have combo deals, they actually have a decent value. This isnt the place to go for value, but if you want quality, this is the best grocery store in the area.

Very overpriced and pretentious for product variety and quality no better than the local Giant supermarkets. Not at all customer oriented. Example: bought packaged Italian sandwich. Asked about dressing. "There isnt any, but you can BUY a tiny cup of ranch or something for 80 cents. Hot peppers? Nope. Cant have any. 9" sandwich, not dressed and without hot peppers for $7.50. Their name should be Fresh Ripoff. I have three words for you: "Go To Wegmans".

Baked goods, breads, and meats are second to none. Even better than Whole Foods. The bakery and munchies selection makes this quite a dangerous place. If you care nothing for quality and are just looking for a huge selection of cheap groceries then this is not your place. But if you care about what you put into your body and dont mind paying the extra cost for top quality then this is the best in the area.

Conveniently located restroom. Went to have a sandwich made at the deli and we looked at by a worker repeatedly while she stayed on the phone. Luckily another random worker came over, who may or may not work in the deli, to make our sandwich. After they had no lettuce and tomato available and had to go into the back to get more the ham sandwich that took an astonishing 15 minutes to make was pretty good.

Fresh Market is an incredibly nice upscale market, with prices to match. The selection is awesome with hard to find items and high end produce, meat, cheese, and sauces. Service is very good as well and very helpful in finding things. The prices are fairly astronomical though as a result. Finding anything beyond single or small servings is also a bit difficult.

A tad on the more expensive side, but I go here for different items I dont mind paying more for. Their prepared food is delicious and the staff is always friendly. I have always gotten rave review on it when I take it somewhere. The flowers are lovely and the butcher counter is always well stocked and staffed by very helpful attendants.

Super-upscale grocery store. Ive never shopped there for a full grocery trip. I have no idea if youd buy paper towels or other staples there. The produce and meat and fish counter have a good selection and high prices. Ive been happy shopping there for special occasions.

I was very dissapointed with the fresh market. Its pretty small inside with a poor selection overall. I was suprised they didnt sell more veg stuff considering its a health food store. Its expensive and just comes across as a wannabe whole foods.

Amazing place for healthy selection of organic meats, fruits and vegetables. Its not meant to replace your supermarket just for very specific items on your shopping list. If you want to eat healthy, no better place to food shop.

Love the place! I am usually there once a week! An upscale gourmet grocery store. Great deals, very nice fresh produce and many gourmet foods not available in grocery stores.

They have a great selection of meats and cheeses. The produce is always fresh. I love going there for coffee as well.
